Surprisingly, it seemed that they were not taken away by Valley Master Jade Aurora, considering that she could've taken them and sold their organs and parts for a high price, not to mention that even antidotes could be made for their poison with this much of carcasses to experiment on.
This was a conflicting point Davis couldn't understand. However, it was rather clear that Valley Master Jade Aurora was searching for a new way out, perhaps believing that one of these rifts might lead to outside, but every time she stumbled into a new rift, she was unlucky, being bombarded by these huge critters.
Her prowess was at the level above Peak-Level Ninth Stage. Otherwise, she wouldn't have defeated so many of them, and since her prowess was at that level, she shouldn't have been injured, but since she was, it most likely meant that she was already exhausted.
Perhaps, the mindless savage beast that possessed her robe's fabric was the one who attacked her sneakily, causing her to be poisoned. Considering that they were already exhausted when they were chased inside by the Poison Rift Valley's remnants, it was inevitable that they would meet demise sooner or later, so to have survived this long in a state of exhaustion was alone tantamount to their strength and survivability.
Thinking of what Valley Master Jade Aurora's intention could be in leaving Ivy Aries alone where danger could befall her, he arrived before the third and final rift that was to the north. Fortunately, Valley Master Jade Aurora remembered the location of the rifts well. Otherwise, he would be forced to check the seven rifts in this space alone and three more back in the previous rift.
It could be said that these rifts reminded Davis of the complex dungeons or mazes that could be seen in games. He slightly chortled, took a step forward with Evelynn, and arrived at the other side, followed by Myria.
However, Davis and Evelynn became shocked to see the five hundred-meter-tall spider in front of them, towering with an ominous gaze. It was an eight-legged spider with a purplish-obsidian body. There were two sinister eyes on its head, two sharp venomous fangs, and two rows of jagged teeth adorning its mouth. However, most of the outer structure looked as though they were damaged, while there was also a strange pattern on its forehead that seemed to be closed.
Evelynn even felt shook, her blood boiling in reverence, almost wanting her to kneel to it.
