Chapter 9: Heartbreak

The moonlight shined down upon the campfire, as the sound of fire burning away whisked alongside the night.

Within the circle the group laughed about as they sat there and chatted.


Suddenly a beeping noise came from Fennel’s pocket as her tail reached in and pulled out a small earpiece.

She put it up to her ear, as the static cleared, and a familiar voice echoed in her ears.

“Great job everyone!! The anomaly is currently fixed! Go ahead and enjoy yourselves and report back.” The voice said in a feminine tone.


“Good to hear from you Supreme Kai of Time, we dealt with the anomaly with no casualties. Although one of our teammates have gotten missing.” Fennel said as she looked over near the mountains.


“What? Who was it?” She asked.

“Snow.”

A faint sigh could be heard in the distance as roaring noise blasted as it immediately came to a stop.

“Fennel, we have a problem here! Someone destroyed the teleporter! At the moment you’re stuck there.” She said as coughing noise could be heard in the background.

“They got away!” Another voice said.
“Really Trunks? Go after them!” She shouted as she hung up.


Fennel stood there in shock.

They were really stuck here. That means that they were on their own now.

No supplies, no gear, no breaks.

Fennel squeezed her fists, as she let out a frustrated cry.
“Fuck. . . “She said as she fell to her knees.



“Why did I join this stupid patrol?”
