Chapter 8: "Your Highness".

We traveled all day and even much of the night until we reached Guafelia, the city of Count Dettini. Together with Elizabet, Kiara and Krall, we were surprised, as there were many soldiers, much more than there were in Freilis, the city closest to the war against the orcs. The guards checked our carriage, but still would not let us pass, we asked him why and he said that King Jacob II of Westxi was in the city. Now it made sense how many soldiers were there, Elizabet stepped forward and told them that we were coming on behalf of the city of Freilis... after they saw the official seal, they let us in. The city was similar to Freilis but a bit bigger, the streets were full of soldiers. We went straight to the castle but again they did not let us go any further, the captain of the guard told us that Count Dettini could not be disturbed now, as he was receiving the king. We had no choice but to wait, we went to a tavern and there we spent the rest of the night. I woke up very early, Elizabet and the brothers were still sleeping. I took the parchment and went straight to the castle with the conviction that they would let me in, I did not want to waste more time but that was not the main reason why I wanted to do my errand as quickly as possible, the main reason was that I did not want to meet Victor Otter again, I assumed that he would come after us, for now he had not reached Guafelia.At the gates of the castle there were less guards, I could count 5 of them, I approached showing them the parchment with the official seal and they laughed, one of them took me by the arm and told me that he would let me pass only if I had sex with him, his companions complained when they heard him. -Lady Jennifer, I am glad to see you here, I thought you were not coming. I bowed and greeted him.
-Your Highness... It is an honor to be here for me.
-Forget formalities, come and have breakfast with us. He said to me.
As we sat down, he introduced me to Count Dettini and his wife Arabella.
