Chapter 10: I want the truth!
Author's note: I'm sorry, my readers. I am only able to upload one today but I am currently working on the next chapter. I had just finished a
class exam so please understand.

Six horses raced past the kingdom's people with the white horse taking the lead. Immediately, the horses were settled in the stables, Claressa stormed into the council room. She knew very well that at that time of the day, they would be having council meeting. She never took part in it even though she was supposed to. Today, she had a reason in mind.
"Claressa, calm down"
Her friends were trying to stop her but she didn't listen. She headed straight to Clark, pulled him up with his collar and punched him in the
face.
There were 'oohs' and 'aahs' echoing in the room.
"What was that for?"
She held him by the collar and said, “You knew right? You knew Areida was missing and dead. That's why you sent me and my friends away. An 'adventure', you called it".
Clark was shocked. "Dead? What do you mean by dead?"
"Wow, the actor strikes again. Don't act like you don't know what I'm talking about. Areida is dead and buried".
However, just then a voice was heard at the back.
"What is going on here?". It was the king.
Everyone froze where they were.
Everyone except....
Claressa went to her father, curtsied to him and then punched him in the face. The guards immediately held her but the king raised his hand and they immediately let her go. This just proved to everyone that no matter what, Claressa was still Cole's favorite.
Cole held his face and muttered, “You pack quite a punch, Claressa". He looked at her face. She was angry, very angry. “Tell me, what do you want?"
"The truth. I want the truth about everything. For example, where is mother?"
Claressa was not a fool to not know that her mother was supposed to be in the council room at the moment. Unlike her, she never missed any of these meetings. Her mind was erratic and right now she was thinking that her father had something to do with her mother not being in the council room. She didn't know how much she was right.
The king was silent. After a moment, he said, “You said you want the truth. Here's the truth. I put her to sleep".
"You put her to what?!"
Claressa was not the only one shocked. The entire council room was shocked as well. But there was one person that was more shocked than the rest.
"So, dad. The thing you promised not to do was this?"
"Wow! So, it was a promise and you broke it. You didn't tell me about my sister, you broke a promise and your face doesn't show an ounce of
regret. You are not the father I once knew", Claressa said disdainfully.
Cole was hurt after hearing these words. He said to the guards, “Take the princess to her room and do not let her out until I say so".
To Claressa, he said, “When you are ready to talk, we will talk".
The guards wanted to take hold of her but she shook them of. “I can walk on my own".
Her friends wanted to follow her but stopped when they heard, “I want to be alone".
Sebastian walked over to Clark and said, “What kind of brother are you? I believe that you didn't know that Areida was dead but at least you knew that she was missing. Claressa never keeps anything from you but you hid this fact. Did it ever occur to you that you might lose her trust? You didn't even try to stand up for her just now. You just kept mute. If I had an elder brother like you, I don't know what I might do".
Without even waiting for Clark to explain or even respond, Sebastian and the others left the room.
Cole looked around the room and saw his son and the ministers looking at him.
"Well, what are you waiting for? Continue with the meeting".
