Black-bellied Movie Emperor's Clever Wife Chapter 6 part1

Xiaoxiao was out of sorts so the assistant sent her back on the plane to S City. When she arrived home, she sat stagnantly on the sofa. Sesame saw her return and happily rubbed himself back and forth at her feet, but with no caress from her, he let out a squeaky whimper.

Sesame brought Xiaoxiao back to her soul. The silence of the home and the warmth of Sesame slowly calmed her restlessness and anxiety.

Her phone rang, it was An Hui calling.

"Xiaoxiao, are you home yet?” On the other end of the phone, An Hui asked with concern.

“Hmm!” Suddenly remembering the man who had been slammed over her shoulder, Xiaoxiao asked guiltily, “Is he alright?"

"He's fine. It wasn't long after you left that he woke up. The director had someone take him to the hospital for a checkup. Everything turned out ok. Just to be safe, he was sent back to the hotel first to rest. Don't you worry, I swear to God I won't reveal your identity.” She immediately cracked up at that image of Kang Xi being thrown out. "Xiaoxiao, Kang Xi asked who you were upon waking up. You can't imagine how black his face was that everyone dared not approach him. But his character has always been  exemplary. When he rests, this will be over, don't take it to heart. Take a good rest tonight. I still have something to do. I'll hang up first, let's talk when I get back.”

"Okay!"

At the end of the call, she was still worried. Seems like she still has to stay farther away from the crowd in the future. 

Glancing at the wall clock, it was already 21:00 p.m. After breakfast, she hadn't eaten anything so he felt a little hunger. She was about to take a shower and go to bed early when the phone rang again.

The incoming call indicates an international call from the United States.

She frowned and hesitated, but still pressed the answer button. The caller was Lisa, her original psychiatrist in the United States. Dr. Zhang must have informed her that she didn't want to attend counseling, so she asked someone to take over.

The woman on the phone was pure American, serious and earnest.

“Xiao, listen! You need to sign up for your counseling sessions A.S.A.P.!”

The same old story about forcing her to see a psychiatrist.

She replied in her native English fluently, “Sessions? With the shrink? I don't need it!”

She doesn't need a therapist, what's the point of seeing them, can things change?

Her partner patiently answered, "I think you do! I'm asking you as a friend, get help! See the shrink! Talk about what… what… happened! Don't let this eat away at you!"

(I'm speaking to you as a friend, you need help, see a psychiatrist, talk about what's going on and don't let it bother you all the time!)

"I'm fine! I appreciate your concern! Thank you!"

One strives for persuasion, while the other always closed her heart, so the call ended quickly.

She dropped her phone and went into her room to get a change of clothes.

Under the shower, she was drenched by the warm water, letting the water down over her head without moving a muscle. She actually knew very well that if she insists on her way, she would break down sooner or later. But it didn't matter, she couldn't forget the past, forget the accident that had ruined her life.

This is her punishment.
