When Yi Zeyang realized that the situation did not go as expected, he quickly drove back to A High to search for her on campus. Chunchun and Huang Amao could also feel that Yi Zeyang was worried so they hurriedly put on their coats and ran out of the dormitory to help him to search for her.

The three of them continued searching for Gu Anhao together. Even though they kept calling her cell phone, they could not reach her at all. It seemed as though Gu Anhao had disappeared into thin air.

Yi Zeyang searched in and out of the campus, and he was about to make a police report so that the police could gather a search party to look for her. As the three of them were making their way to the police station, Gu Anhao finally picked up.

When Yi Zeyang did not get any response from the other end of the line, he frowned before he asked, “Anhao, where are you? Answer me! Why didn't you go back to your dormitory like you said you would?”

Yi Zeyang asked in a furious manner over the other end of the line.

Zuo Hancheng glanced at Gu Anhao who was still holding the ice pack against her forehead. Zuo Hancheng stood up before he started replying to Yi Zeyang.

“I heard that Young Master Yi was recently invited to A High as a guest professor but I would never have expected you to be so anxious over the safety of a female student in the middle of the night.”

Yi Zeyang stopped in his tracks as he was walking toward the car park.

Why was Gu Anhao's cell phone in Zuo Hancheng's hands? How could this be possible? Were his ears deceiving him?

Zuo Hancheng, who was on the other end of the line, immediately confirmed Yi Zeyang's suspicions as he spoke in a clear and deep voice, “I am Zuo Hancheng. Gu Anhao is here with me at my house.”

Yi Zeyang could hear Gu Anhao's unpleasant grunting voice in the background.

When Yi Zeyang heard Gu Anhao's voice in the background, the expression on his face changed in an instant, as though he had fallen into a cold abyss.

Yi Zeyang refrained from asking further even though the words were already coming out of his mouth. He could only frown as he waited for Zuo Hancheng to clarify the matter.

At this moment, Gu Anhao continued grunting in a distressed manner on the other end of the line, and Yi Zeyang could hear more muffled sounds followed by Anhao's soft and delicate voice, “Zuo Hancheng…”

Gu Anhao sounded very helpless and distressed.

Zuo Hancheng turned around to look at Gu Anhao who had fallen off the couch. At this moment, he suddenly guessed the reason for Yi Zeyang's sudden silence.

He stared at the ungrateful person before he walked and carried her up in his arms. Gu Anhao was clearly upset because she had fallen off the sofa, and she kept waving her arms around as she cried out, “I feel terrible…”

Zuo Hancheng patiently put her down on the sofa before he picked up the phone and placed it against his ear once again. “Young Master Yi, are you looking for Anhao because of any urgent matter? If it's not urgent, can you please call her again tomorrow when she's sober?”

“How is she right now?”

Yi Zeyang was worried and he was anxious to find out about Gu Anhao's condition. After all, he could hear her complaining that she was in pain and that she was feeling very uncomfortable.

Zuo Hancheng turned around and glanced at Gu Anhao who was leaning on his chest as she rested her head against his arm. Her eyes were closed. “She had too much to drink, so how else would she be feeling now?”

“Anhao is still a young and immature student. She doesn't know how to differentiate between right and wrong. Please forgive her if she is causing any inconvenience to you, Mr. Zuo.”

Yi Zeyang replied as he walked toward his car. After entering his car, he continued speaking, “Mr. Zuo, can you send me your current location? I will go over and pick Anhao up now.”

“It will not be necessary for you to come and pick her up.”

Zuo Hancheng replied in a cold and indifferent voice, and because of the lack of emotions in his tone, Yi Zeyang could not tell what the relationship between Gu Anhao and Zuo Hancheng was.

After starting his car, Yi Zeyang continued speaking, “Mr. Zuo, please tell me your location. I do not want Anhao to bother you anymore. I will come and pick her up so that she will not be a burden to you, and you can have some quiet time to rest.”

Zuo Hancheng could not stop himself from laughing out loud when he heard the persistence in Yi Zeyang's voice. He knew that his next sentence would definitely turn Yi Zeyang's world around.

“I knew that I would not have much of a quiet time ever since the day Gu Anhao officially became Mrs. Zuo.”

The car had already started moving for more than ten meters when there was the piercing sound of a car braking.

Zuo Hancheng ignored Yi Zeyang's reaction and he did not bother waiting for his reply. “Anhao is my wife and I would like to advise Young Master Yi not to overstep some boundaries when it comes to your concern for female students from A High.”

After he was done speaking, Zuo Hancheng hung up the phone before casually throwing the cell phone at the corner of the sofa.

I knew that I would not have much of a quiet time ever since the day that Gu Anhao officially became Mrs. Zuo.

This phrase continued echoing in Yi Zeyang's ears over and over again.

This was too ridiculous. Anhao was only nineteen years old. There was still about three to four months before her twentieth birthday. How could Anhao possibly be married when she had not even reached the legal age to get married yet?

But these words came directly from Zuo Hancheng's mouth!

Yi Zeyang put down his cell phone before he looked at his black cell phone screen. He parked his car at the side of the empty and quiet road as he was still in disbelief. Every now and then, a few cars would pass by with their headlights on.

“Zuo Hancheng… I feel so uncomfortable.”

With Gu Anhao's temperament, she would never confess her pain to anyone that was not close to her or related to her in any way. Even if she felt like dying, she would not confess her pain to anyone.

She was also holding back when she was with him earlier, and she did not even say anything as she was withholding the pain that she was feeling inside. Moreover, Gu Anhao also avoided his sight and turned away from him when she could no longer hold back her tears.

He wanted Gu Anhao to give him a clear explanation on what the hell was going on!

However, when Yi Zeyang tried calling her again, the mechanical female voice on the other side of the line sounded, “Sorry. The number that you have dialed is not available. Please try again later.”

Yi Zeyang trembled as he held onto his cigarette before he suddenly cursed, “F*ck!”

He threw his cell phone onto the middle of the street because he could not hold back his anger and frustration anymore. 'Anhao, why are you so impatient? I worked so hard in the United States to ensure that everything was in place before I finally came back home.'

Yi Zeyang was one step away from finding out the truth about what exactly happened to Gu Anhao and her mother in the past. He was almost rid of his so-called fiancée and the shackles that were holding him back so that he could finally explain everything to her.

He was just one step away from the finish line before he could finally give Gu Anhao the answer that was five years late.
