Forty minutes later.

Anhao was standing in front of a huge mirror, changing from one set of clothes to another. Most of the clothes she tried on were suitable for young girls, and they ranged from skirts to casual wear…

Just as Anhao was so frustrated to the point of lashing out, she was finally liberated after trying out the last set of clothes and she walked out of the fitting room.

As she stood outside the fitting room, she looked at the mirror and saw herself looking like a lady. This made her even more pissed off!

However, upon thinking about Zuo Hancheng who was sitting outside, she suppressed the impulse to lash out at the salesperson who recommended these clothes to her. Then, she viciously glared at them before turning around and going out in anger.

Zuo Hancheng, who was sitting at the lobby outside, saw Gu Anhao furiously walking out of the door.

Anhao originally had a clean snowy-white face the size of a palm, and she normally would not wear makeup except when in the bar. Her hair was short, it was actually quite soft, graceful and delicate. From the looks of it, she would definitely be a gorgeous woman if she were to let her hair grow long.

She was wearing a casual outfit that looked neat and suitable for students like her, with a cute pink short-sleeved T-shirt, a white student skirt that almost reached her knees, and a pair of white casual sports shoes. Overall, she was now without both the chaotic makeup and those strange pieces of jewelry she had obtained from the streets.

Just like that, a fair, pretty and exuberant girl seemed to be coming out of a cocoon she had woven.

It was just that the girl looked totally furious and unwilling. Zuo Hancheng looked quite satisfied with her overall look and walked toward her.

“I've already changed my clothes. Can I go now?”

Zuo Hancheng knew that Anhao would not behave like any normal kid would other than being unreasonably rebellious which included her wearing her school uniform inside-out and adopting her strange disguise. In addition, he understood that she deliberately transformed herself into an unsightly, indulgent, and dissolute bad girl.

But after her disguise was completely stripped down, Anhao was wearing a set of clothes that fitted her age and style, becoming a girl who people never knew that she and the previous delinquent were actually one and the same.

She was so pissed off to the point where her eyes had become bloodshot, but she swallowed it in front of him with her fists clenched. The girl's fingers were pale from all the force she was exerting. This defiance of hers caused his eyebrows to twitch before he picked up the blazer on the sofa and put it on her back.

Due to the sudden warmth from the blazer that stunned her for a while, Anhao's mind went blank and Zuo Hancheng was already walking her out of the door.

It was currently November, and the temperature at night was quite low despite the fact that A City was located at the center of a coastal city. Anhao could not help but shiver as she walked out of the mall.

As Zuo Hancheng took her to his car, several salespeople put the packed-up clothes Anhao tried on just now into the boot.

When they were inside, the man set the temperature so that the car was warm.

But not Anhao's mood as she was staring at the man frostily. She vowed that today would be the first and final time she would be involved with this man, and would definitely not have any kind of association with him in the future!

She became even more depressed the more she thought about it. Not wanting to be alone with him anymore, she wanted to get out of the car but found out that Zuo Hancheng had already locked the car doors the moment they entered.

Could it be the drama of an angel turned animal attacking a delicate pretty girl that was about to unfold in this dead of night?

Her imagination ran wild the more she thought about it. She felt that she had boarded a pirate ship today. Therefore, she quickly took out her phone and intended to call her bros to get them to save her.

However, Zuo Hancheng snatched her phone away immediately and threw it into the glove compartment.

Anhao froze and she lifted her head. “What are you doing? Give me back my phone! I wanna go back to my school!”

“Your school dormitory is closed at this hour. How are you supposed to go back there? Scale the building? Jump out of the window?”

“…” With her sense of shame and indignance seen through by him, Anhao's eyelids tingled. “Why do you care about how I'm gonna go back? That's none of your business!”

She now thought that Zuo Hancheng was like an animal that had no good intentions toward her.

Mustering the courage to get up, she headed to the internal car lock beside the man and tried to pry it open.

“Gu Anhao, you still haven't figured out who you are yet.”

She was unstable due to the way she leaned over with force. Suddenly, Zuo Hancheng gripped her waist and she fell firmly into his arms.

Instantly striking her nose was the fresh and pleasant fragrance on the man's body. At a moment's notice, the warm air in the car was filled with his unfamiliar and exclusive aura.

By the time she felt that she was in his arms, Anhao stiffened. Then, she screamed and wanted to break free from his arms. His grip was obviously not too tight, but it was just enough to restrain all her struggling.

Unable to muster her strength, she lifted her head in anger as she was being constrained in his arms, until her face was suddenly greeted by the handsome face approaching her.

As her wide eyes were staring at his face that was in close range, Zuo Hancheng's other hand lifted her chin and forced her closer to him, causing her to have a mental breakdown. Then, she noticed that both their lips were getting closer and closer.

“Zuo Hancheng!” Anhao screamed upon realizing that he was not just fooling around, “I'm warning you! If you f… Uh…”

His soft and warm lips were sucking hers, stopping her from blurting out the swear words.

With her thinking stopped for a moment, her eyes widened and she noticed a pair of black eyes that seemed to be able to envelop her like an abyss.

Her heart was bouncing out of control, it was as if she could hear the sound of its violent beating.

Zuo Hancheng let her go the moment she was completely dumbstruck. But then, he squinted his eyes in disbelief upon seeing the face of the girl in his arms that was very red, like she was utterly shocked.

His fingers stroke her jaw and gently pinched her chin. “Why do you look like your first kiss has just been taken from you? Are you trying to be pure and innocent? Weren't you the one who wrapped me up like an evil spirit in the bar last time? ”

The thing was, the way she looked right now showed that she had never truly flirted with other men. Therefore, Zuo Hancheng's eyes seemed to show a slight sense of surprise.

Anhao covered her mouth the moment she regained her consciousness. With her eyes wide open, she loudly lashed out at him after putting down her hand. “Zuo Hancheng! You animal!”

And then, she attempted to free herself from his grasp again. She had practiced Taekwondo for five years, yet she was unable to muster her strength due to him gripping her in his arms like it was nothing. As such, she was so angry that she wanted to directly bite him.

Just as she was about to finally swing her arm toward his face, he suddenly grabbed hold of her wrist.

“Do you still need me to remind you of who you are in a more direct way?”

With her wrist being restrained, he could see an image of her baring her teeth within her dark pupils.
