"The natives, even the people who came to participate in the Secret Realm fled," Mabel said with a quirky smile.

"Well, Elder Ondine made all that fuss before. If they didn't run away, they would stay like that." Kaia pointed to a group of people who were tortured in flames.

Mabel shivered a little, then nodded.

Despite how powerful and terrifying Ondine appeared to be, in the end, she was no different from the people she herself had burned alive. She had been so insignificant that 'that person' was able to break her entire power base even though they didn't appear in person.
