Chapter 1 - Tunneled Through Space, Just Like That?

"Eh, where am I?" Baffled, Gu Qingyu looked around.

Wasn't she just……stabbed with a knife by someone just a moment ago?

She was surrounded by trees, and a river flowed nearby.

Gu Qingyu approached the river and took a look at herself…...Mm, I am still the same! But, what kind of place is this? Also……Why am I dressed in this type of……ancient costume?

Suddenly, someone's voice came through from behind, "Gu Qingyu, you cannot escape. If you hand over the picture scroll, I can spare you death!"

She unfolded it and discovered a man drawn on the painting.

The man had an emotionless expression, long flowing black hair, dressed in a blue robe, gazing into the distance.

"You…Why the heck do you guys want this for?" Gu Qingyu looked suspiciously at the scroll.

The masked man laughed out loudly, he finally started to talk after laughing enough, "Gu Qingyu, you really got scared silly! Don't think Hero Jia will come and protect you only because you're holding onto the portrait!"

"Fake Hero?" Gu Qingyu blanked for a moment, then immediately burst into laughter, "Why would I want a fake hero to protect me!"

"Gu Qingyu, stop acting you don't know what good and bad for you! Let me tell you, Hero Jia's name is Jia!" Another masked man said.

"Stop talking so much nonsense with her!" The first masked man swung his sword and a sharp sword Qi flew towards her direction.

Gu Qingyu saw the incoming sword Qi and her instincts told her to dodge, but her body seemed to be held back by something, unable to move……

The sword Qi was flicked away by a flying dart, Gu Qingyu sensed she could move her body again……

Didn't those people just say that he was called something like 'Hero Jia'?

Those people nodded and fled immediately.

Gu Qingyu gazed at the fleeing crowd, snarling, "Tsk, tsk, tsk. Seem like Hero Jia's deterrence power is quite high!"

She imitated those people on TV and cupped her hands, "Many thank for the help!"

That person glanced strangely at her, "Let us return to the residence."
