A Descendant To being DROPPED 19 Chapter 20 - Let's Cook

After we talked for a bit in my [Sea Of Consciousness] me and the past me decided the appearance of our [Disguise], it would be a Silver-Haired with Blue-Eyes Handsome Boy and our new identity was "Declan", an orphan from an Hunter family.

First in my plan of getting every Crafting-Type Skill was [Cooking], although it seemed as if it could only allow me to make some tasty food, in fact at higher levels it could even make me stronger by giving me temporary or permanent stat boost, well that's what the Old Guy said, although I don't believe him, I still think it's a must have considering that I have a fake identity now.

Although it didn't look really useful, it was some kind of Low-Rank [Appraisal], when I inspected for tens of second an item, I would then have a window opening in front of my eyes that would tell me more information about what I was looking at, I used this Ability to see if something was poisonous or not. Everything was ranked with Stars, in the forest I only saw 1 Star Plant but while I was searching for plant, I found a new monster, at first I thought it was a [Rose-Scale Snake], a Rank-F Monster but when I approched it, I found out that the Pink Snake were a bit darker, at this moment I quickly ran because it was in fact the [Dark-Scale Snake], a Snake that would actually look alike a [Rose-Scale Snake] if not for their Scale being a bit darker and also a Rank-E Monster.

Although I knew he could kill me especially with my lack of Mana, I didn't run away because I knew that this forest remained an F-Rank one and that there must be a reason that this Snake came here, one of the main reason I could find was the fact that he got attracted by the scent of a Better Plant, this was one of the specialty of this species, it could track a Better Plant from Kilometers away.

Thing is that the [Dark-Scale Snake] remains a Snake, it couldn't climb the trees so I used my [Parkour] Ability to climb the trees and try to find the Plant that attracted him by following him, reason is that his instinct will make him follow the scent of the Plant and forget about me, if he still try to attack me it means that he already ate the Plant and I'll just give up.

I'm really lucky because he actually didn't eat the Plant and was still following its scent, I followed him for some Meters until he reached a plant and started closely inspecting it, when I saw him doing that, I quickly went near the plant and waited for an opening which was the moment he started opening his mouth because it was the moment where I would be in a zone where he couldn't see and he would feel something wrong only when he would close his mouth, I also decided to throw some poisoned plant, he won't be able to feel the poison but it would also delay the moment he understood something was wrong.

Obviously, I didn't keep the Plant in my hand because it could just track the scent, I sent the Plant in my [Inventory], I then went back to the City to get some [Mana Potion] to keep my Clone alive.

When I got the [Mana Potion], I thought about another problem with my identity, It was the lack of money and also the fact that I lack a house right now.

For the Money, I decided to become an Adventurer and go through the [Training Camp], this will delay the moment I'll need to take care of the Money.

After drinking the [Mana Potion], I took out the Plant and started inspecting It

It was perfect for the Problem I had but I think it should be better to wait for me to learn something like [Alchemy] to have better effects, I'll keep it and use it if I'm really in need of Mana.

Because I didn't want to give up trying to get the [Cooking] Ability, I decided to buy a Fishing Rod, some Bait and a Net then go to the Lake near the [Airyu Point], I decided to do that because I might get [Fishing] at the same time, so it could kill 2 Birds with 1 Stone, I fished dozens of fish before getting the [Fishing] Skill after getting it, I decided to try cooking.

I decided to do Roasted Fish after making 2-3 Roasted Fish, I got the [Cooking] Ability and after cooking everything, my [Cooking] leveled up.

With this in mind, I decided to go to the [Adventurer Guild] to sign up for the [Training Camp].

When I reached the Guild, I saw a long Line because I didn't want to get banned THAT quickly, I had to line up when It was my turn, the receptionist just looked at me with a smile, seeing that, I quickly told the reason of why I came here.

"Hello, I would like to sign up for the [Training Camp]"

The Receptionist then told me to wait a bit before coming back with a form.

"If mister want to sign up for the [Training Camp], you'll need to fill this form and then you'll have to pass a Test" she then proceeded to give me the form, I completed it and then gave it to her.

"Mister Declan, your Test will be tomorrow when the sun rises"

I hope they have some Healing mage ready to save the person testing me.

[They should also get some Healing Mage to save your brain, but it might be already dead anyway]
