Chapter 369 – An Immortal Descends

Lei Yu immediately frowned, "Motherf*cker!"

He caught Zhou Jun Sheng and carefully examined him. Only when he realized Zhou Jun Sheng wasn't dead did Lei Yu sigh in relief. Lei Yu then ran into the crowd and grabbed the person that had struck Zhou Jun Sheng.

This person looked fat and was as big and tall as a horse. He was almost 2 meters tall which meant he was over a head taller than Lei Yu. While standing in front of the guy, Lei Yu truly looked like a small midget.

The guy's muscles were thick and strong, and Lei Yu's hand couldn't even encircle the guy's arm with his hands. One could see that guy frown, "You little pipsqueak dares to act arrogant here? Courting death!"

Lei Yu grabbed him while the guy wanted to exert force to grab Lei Yu back. Was this a joke? Being at the early Boundary Transition stage was similar to being a God. This burly guy was probably naturally born strong or trained his body to this point by mortal standards. Lei Yu actually felt this was quite funny for the guy to act arrogant in front of him.

Lei Yu was unmoving while the crowd started backing away to create space for these two people fighting in front of the government building.

The burly guy grabbed nothing but air as Lei Yu slightly shifted. A trace of ruthless light then appeared in Lei Yu's eyes. The burly guy realized his action didn't succeed and proceeded to roar in rage. He then punched out at Lei Yu.

This guy was definitely nothing good if he was helping the Chen family and the government officials. Lei Yu wasn't going to give this guy a good ending. The burly guy's big fist landed squarely on Lei Yu's head and a loud "crack" sound was heard.

"Oh heavens! He killed someone!" The crowd started crying out in shock.

Everyone knew what the sound was – the sound of breaking bones! The burly guy was filled with happiness as he looked at Lei Yu thinking he had succeeded with the punch.

There was no change in Lei Yu's expression as he slowly raised his left hand and flicked the burly guy's fist away.

"Aggh!" A painful scream was heard. It didn't come from Lei Yu but from the burly guy. The burly guy's fist was still there but… all his bones had already shattered into powder leaving a saggy pouch of meat. It was only now that his nerves sent the message to his brains before he started screaming in agony.

Lei Yu sneered, "Nothing but dog shit!" With a low roar, Lei Yu swept his legs out towards the burly guy's leg since he wasn't planning on killing him. The burly guy stared with big round eyes as the kick shattered his kneecap.

With this sudden change, the crowd could only stare and not dare to make a sound. Those servants of the Chen family who were about to beat Lei Yu up were all dumbfounded, and no longer dared to go near him.

That previous middle-aged man with the arrogant words was now trembling in place. The burly guy being beaten by Lei Yu was now rolling around the ground screaming in pain as if the world had come to an end.

"Too noisy!" Lei Yu's sudden shout rippled out with energy and almost burst the ear drums of everyone present. The burly guy was so scared by the shout that he wetted his pants right then and there. Even though still in pain, he no longer dared to make a single sound.

Lei Yu then walked towards the main entrance where the middle-aged man was. "How are you related to that young noble Chen?"

"St… steward. This little… little one is the Chen family's steward." That person stammered.

Lei Yu nodded, "Who was it that just said breaking an arm or leg will be rewarded?" Lei Yu raised his arm as he was saying this.

That middle-aged man was originally walking out sideways with the burly guy as if he was invincible. Never could he have imagined that with just two strikes, his strongest hired fighter would become crippled that easily. It was probably from fear but the steward unexpectedly started crying in front of everyone.

Lei Yu blinked a few times, "Stop crying if you don't have money, you almost frightened this daddy! Scram back and get some money for my brother's doctor fees. If you can't manage to bring anything back, this daddy will dismantle your Chen manor!"

Not having strength to stand up, the steward started crawling away before finally climbing on his feet. The servants that came with him also started running away not daring to turn around. The burly guy was still on the ground in silence hoping no one would pay attention to him.

Lei Yu waved his hands, "Everyone else disperse; there's nothing to look at here anymore." Even the words of government officials may not be able to clear this large crowd, but Lei Yu's performance was just too shocking. His words were like a royal decree right now, causing everyone to vacate this place in under a minute. But the problem now was that so called young noble Chen had already fainted from fear.

Lei Yu started observing Zhou Jun Sheng's injuries and realized it wasn't serious; he had only been knocked unconscious by the burly guy's punch. A purple light buzzing with electricity started sizzling on Lei Yu's palms as he slapped it onto Zhou Jun Sheng's body. One could clearly see that Lei Yu's lightning ability had caused Zhou Jun Sheng to start shaking lightly before waking up from the stimulation.

"Brother, are you okay now?" Lei Yu asked with concern. Lei Yu was very touched by Zhou Jun Sheng's action where he ignored his own safety to help out.

"I'm fine. I just wasn't prepared to defend against it, that's all." After standing back up, Zhou Jun Sheng looked over at the burly guy who happened to have fainted. The burly guy was in extreme pain and Lei Yu didn't allow him to make a noise, so it would actually be strange if he didn't faint.

"It's good that you're okay. Your mother is currently being brought back to brother Liu's home so don't worry" said Lei Yu.

With his strong spiritual perception, Lei Yu was able to easily capture the movements of everyone within a radius of dozens of kilometers away. Not only was he able to feel the subtle energy fluctuations of Liu Da Fu, Lei Yu was able to feel that next door over within a large courtyard was over a hundred people gathered there. The leader of this newly arrived group was an old man dressed in luxurious clothing and accessories. Flames of anger were burning in his eyes as he cried out to Lei Yu: "You dare to mess with my Chen family? Don't you know that we even have people in the imperial capital? You're courting death! Someone grab him and peel off his skin and tear out his tendons!"

Lei Yu looked on with disapproval while Zhou Jun Sheng started clenching his fists, preparing to fight with his life on the line. This originally had nothing to do with Zhou Jun Sheng and he only attacked due to being loyal towards his sworn brother. In the meantime, Lei Yu was thinking that since he wanted everyone to think he was an Immortal, he might as well demonstrate his Godly powers!

Lei Yu roared out and sound wave he produced stunned the entire group of people. They could only stare but were unable to move their legs! Lei Yu then started rising into the sky and floated there dozens of meters high. One could see a white light flash and a sword appearing in his hand.

Chapter 370 – Punish The Evil

Lei Yu looked towards the Silicon Mountain off into the distance. He had sent out his spiritual perception and made sure there weren't anyone there. He gripped his sword with two hands and hacked down causing a beam of white light to shoot out of the Sky Devouring Sword. Lei Yu didn't use any of his own energy and relied on the sword itself.

Everyone just stared at this crescent white light flying towards the Silicon Mountain. They were trying to follow the trajectory of the white light but it was simply too fast and their eyes couldn't even catch up with it.

After the beam of light shot towards the mountain, there was no sound or movement for over ten seconds. Everyone was wondering what Lei Yu was trying to do when they finally heard a huge "BOOM," and the Silicon Mountain was cut into two!

Silence. Absolute silence! Apart from hearing the avalanche of rocks crashing down, there was no other sound from the town. Some of the ordinary civilians nearby had witnessed all of this and even forgot to breathe. It was only after a full minute did people started gasping for air and unconsciously swallowing down their saliva a few times.

Lei Yu was currently floating in midair holding onto the Sky Devouring Sword and exuding a domineering aura. He then asked the old man: "Are you still going to capture me now?"

"Ugh… ugh…!" The old man convulsed a few times and fainted while frothing at the mouth.

The weird look of the unconscious old man was similar to the young noble Chen who fainted at the rear halls. Just when Lei Yu was contemplating something, he heard the cry of that young noble Chen. It appears that he has woken up but… the cry sounded like it was a cry from a crazy person.

The two of them sat up and were talking to themselves. They then started happily clapping their hands and playing children's games with each other.

The Magistrate half crawled and half scrambled out of the building. He too became dumbfounded upon seeing what greeted his eyes. Lei Yu then smiled, "Your path to wealth has been cut off, so what do you think you should do now?"

"This little… little one will change! I will never collude with the wealthy to oppress the civilians anymore! Please spare my life Immortal! Please spare my life!"

Lei Yu started smelling some bodily fluids from the Magistrate and started wafting his hand past his nose. "It would be great if you can really do that. If not, I don't think it will be too hard to make your death look accidental."

As for the hundred servants and hire fighters with weapons from the Chen family, they just stood there in place. Out of the hundred plus people, not one of them dared to say a word.

"All of you scatter! If you hired thugs continue to rely on bullying people to make a living, be careful that one day you will end up like that burly guy as well" said Lei Yu as he waved his hand. Fast – that was the only word to describe the crowd of people leaving. It was in a blink of an eye that their weapons were dropped onto the ground before they disappeared in different directions.

This part of the matter had come to an end, but Lei Yu knew that if the Chen family really had some bigwig backer in the imperial capital, this town will definitely encounter trouble once he leaves. Lei Yu made up his mind and started floating up into the air again. He then used a voice where the entire town could hear him.

The people nearby knew what had happened but those far away had no clue. Upon seeing how Lei Yu was speaking while floating in the air, everyone immediately became excited.

"M… me? I can learn it?" Zhou Jun Sheng stared with wide eyes while pointing at his own nose.

Lei Yu made a thought and a blue light appeared in front of the two. Zhou Jun Sheng blinked a few times, "What is it?"

Chapter 371 – Volcanic Eruption

"Not good!" Lei Yu had noticed that not too far from the base of the volcano was a small village. The village had a little over ten families and every one of them were quickly running for their lives.

Lei Yu dove down from the sky and landed in a nearby forest before rushing towards the village.

"Quick! Quick! The lava from the volcano is about to come down! Quickly escape!" An old man with a long white beard was waving for all the villagers to escape as fast as they could.

Lei Yu went up to him, "Old grandpa, how come there's a volcano here?"

"Young man, quickly run away! This volcanic eruption will definitely take some lives with it! You will perish without even leaving bones behind!" The old man didn't bother replying to Lei Yu's question. Seeing that all the villagers had left, he too grabbed a bag and followed behind.

There was no longer anyone visible in the village so it was assumed that everyone had evacuated. Before the old man started running off as well, he glanced at Lei Yu one more time and cried out: "Young man, don't stay here anymore and quickly run! It's too dangerous here!"

Lei Yu knew that many pairs of eyes were upon him so he had already slowed down his speed by quite a bit.

The villagers could see him approach at high speeds with a bundle of cloth in his arms. There was even the cry of a baby coming out of the bundle of cloth.

"Li Hua! Li Hua! Wake up, our child has been rescued!"

It's unknown whether she heard her husband's cry or hearing her own baby's cry, but the village woman called Li Hua immediately woke up. Lei Yu had finally arrived in front of everyone before handing the baby over. "It's fortunate that I found the baby in time, otherwise…" Looking back, the lava had already flooded the entire village as black smoke rose into the air from the houses combusting.

He was afraid the lava would reach their elevated position and was also afraid the high temperature would affect the baby. Hearing the words of the villager, the Village Chief nodded: "It should be the warning signs prior to the volcanic eruption. But there's nothing we can do about it now since none of us knew what the sound was and could predict it was due to a future eruption."

Lei Yu watched the lava destroy everything in the surrounding area. He then took out a crystal stone from his Universal Pouch – a purple crystal stone.

"Here Chief; take this and rebuild your homes."

"A purple crystal stone?! I've heard of it but have never seen one before!" One of the villagers cried out in shock. The Village Chief widened his eyes and said: "No, no! You saved a child from our village already so how can we accept your crystal stone as well? No way!"

Chapter 372 – Ancient Gray Beast

Lei Yu's expression changed as he pretended to be angry: "Chief, just accept it or else I'm going to throw it into the lava!" After saying that, Lei Yu raised his hand as if about to toss the crystal stone. The Village Chief hesitated before nodding: "If that's the case, okay then! This old man will accept it! Thank you!" Lei Yu had heard the old man mention they were so frantic that most of them only managed to pack some clothes. Their valuables and other belongings would definitely be burnt or melted at this point. Lei Yu still had quite a bit of crystal stones in his possession so by taking a small portion out, this can be considered doing a good deed.

"Hiss~!" A sound was heard at the mouth of the volcano.

Lei Yu quickly released his spiritual perception since the sound was abnormal. He then quickly looked up and noticed a monster completely in red and spewing out flames. A pair of lantern sized eyes was currently staring at Lei Yu and the crowd of people he was with.

The monster's height was over five meters and his head was similar to a dragon's, except its eyes was a bit more vicious looking than a typical dragon's. Its eyes gave off fiery sparks and its body looked like it was wearing a scale armor for protection. Its four limbs were thick and long and its five-clawed feet looked exceptional sharp. The tail at the rear of its body was like a strange looking stub similar to a rabbit's. Lei Yu couldn't help but start frowning as surprise appeared in his heart. "How could this place have a monster at the early Soul Splitting stage? If I hadn't rushed over here, who knows what would've happened!"

"It's a monster! A monster!" One of the villagers cried out upon seeing the appearance of it. But since they were surrounded by lava, there was no place for them to run away to and chaos descended upon the group.

"Everyone stop panicking!" The Village Chief tried to maintain order. Lei Yu took a few steps towards the edge of the slope where the lava and come up to. Lei Yu didn't seem bothered with it and suddenly raised his head to yell out: "What's your purpose in appearing here?!"

The monster looked at Lei Yu. Hearing that Lei Yu was speaking to it, it sensed that this human was not ordinary. The monster suddenly spoke in the human language: "Slept for a thousand years, now hungry!"

Its words were simple but the meaning behind it was not at all when the villagers heard it. The monster had obviously appeared in search of food, and its target could possibly be the people inside the village! Every one of them was so scared that they started trembling!

Lei Yu lightly frowned. He wasn't afraid of a monster at the early Soul Splitting stage but he still had to find a way to stop it. Even if his abilities surpassed the monster greatly, he still couldn't guarantee that he could stop this guy if it decided to destroy this place with a large scale attack.

"Don't make me angry and return to your sleep!" Lei Yu coldly replied.

"Angry? What qualifications do you have to dare to speak wildly in front of me, the Ancient Gray Beast?!" The monster loudly asked while being basked in flames.

Lei Yu sneered, "A mere early Soul Splitting little bastard, obediently return. I'll say it again – don't make me angry!" Lei Yu's eyes glared at the Ancient Gray Beast and his deep profound eyes managed to shock it slightly.

"I refuse to believe it! What capabilities do you have?! Stop trying to trick me!" As those words faded, a burst of flame came roaring out of its mouth. Lei Yu already knew it wanted to test him but he didn't make any moves. Just as the flames was about to reach Lei Yu and the villagers, it abruptly stopped. Lei Yu had already released an energy shield around everyone so ordinary attacks were completely useless.

The villagers could only look back and forth between the monster and Lei Yu without daring to say a word.

"How was it? You want to try again?" Lei Yu coldly harrumphed and a sword shimmering with white light suddenly appeared in his hands. The sword was unusually eye-catching. Lei Yu glared at the Ancient Gray Beast while he playfully stirred the lava with his sword.

"He dares to use his weapon to stir the lava? It's definitely not simple! Should… should I pull back my attitude?" That so called Ancient Gray Beast was silently contemplating. It had just woken up so its power hadn't been fully recovered yet. Wouldn't it eat a loss if it suddenly encountered an expert? "Endure for now and figure it out in the future!"

The Ancient Gray Beast had left so Lei Yu turned around: "You all have suffered some fright while I too, am still in fear. How about this: I will bring you all to a new place that's at least a bit safer than here. Does anyone have any opinions?" Lei Yu asked.

Previously when the flames of the Ancient Gray Beast arrived, Lei Yu didn't make any moves yet it just miraculously stopped in front of them. The villagers didn't know what was going on but they could easily guess that Lei Yu was not an ordinary person. And upon witnessing a monster that they had never seen in their life before, everyone was completely silent unable to say a word.

Lei Yu's eyes landed on the Village Chief who didn't say anything but nodded. Lei Yu smiled, "Everyone, please close your eyes!"

After hearing that, the villagers just looked at each other before deciding to close their eyes. Right after that, they only felt a slight shaking. By the time they opened their eyes, the environment had changed and they were now in front of a lively marketplace!

The crowd of villagers stared at each other in confusion. "What's going on Chief? Are we dreaming?"

They looked left and right but didn't see a trace of Lei Yu anymore. Little did they know that Lei Yu had already flown up high into the sky and was now flying back to that volcano.
