Chapter 365 – Healing Someone For The First Time
Lei Yu made a thought and the old woman disappeared. The next moment, Lei Yu soared into the sky a little bit faster than before. Even though it took someone an entire day to walk past the mountain, Lei Yu only had to use a few seconds to fly over it.
A burst of wind blew past raising the dust on the main street. Everyone had to cover their eyes and in the process, Lei Yu's figure appeared but no one noticed.
Upon arriving at the restaurant, Lei Yu made a thought. The old woman was only confused for a few seconds when she appeared and suddenly realized everything around her had changed.
As if under shock, she immediately asked: "This… what's going on? What on earth is going on?"
"Aunty!" Lei Yu smiled, "You must have forgotten that on our journey here, you said you were tired so I piggybacked you. You fell asleep throughout the rest of the journey until we arrived here."
The old woman almost couldn't believe it, "Am I dreaming? Is this a dream?"
"Mother!" A voice was heard in the upper floors. Lei Yu knew that the shock from the old woman must have been heard by Zhou Jun Sheng who then stuck his head out to look.
Zhou Jun Sheng frantically ran downstairs and before he could say anything, Lei Yu put up his hands and said: "Don't ask any questions, go upstairs and just drink your wine." After saying that, Lei Yu began going back to the second floor.
Zhou Jun Sheng was filled with shock, "He… could he… be an Immortal? Could he be… an Immortal that descended to the mortal realm?" After swallowing hard, he then asked with wide eyes: "Mother! How did you get here?"
"He… I… he… I don't know, it was like a dream. I was just speaking with him and in a blink of an eye, I had arrived here. I too have no clue what's going on." Said the old woman unable to explain herself.
Zhou Jun Sheng swallowed hard and sighed to himself, "He's definitely an Immortal…" He then supported his mother up the stairs.
"This one's surname is Liu, given name of Da Fu. In this small Silicon Town, I conduct some small businesses. It is my honor to be acquainted with you two." The middle-aged man cupped his hands in a happy manner.
"Lei Yu."
"Zhou Jun Sheng."
"Come, let's down this wine!" The three drank happily while the old woman was still a bit uneasy on what had just happened. No matter how hard she tried piecing things together, she couldn't figure out what had happened. In the meantime, Zhou Jun Sheng would keep grabbing some food and placing it in front of her.
"After three drinks, this one does not want to hide anything. Brother Lei Yu, I actually have a favor to ask of you." Said Liu Da Fu as he cupped his hands.
Lei Yu's eyebrows went up slightly. He knew that there was no free lunch in this world and it appears that this meal wasn't as simple as making friends. But he still had to give Liu Da Fu some face and said: "Please go ahead and say it."
"So…" Since Lei Yu was so forthright, Liu Da Fu actually started to hesitate. Lei Yu became cautious upon seeing these nonverbal cues but Zhou Jun Sheng didn't catch onto them. Lei Yu then openly said: "Mr. Liu, just let us know what you need help with!"
"Sigh!" After clenching his teeth, Liu Da Fu began explaining: "In my family, I had a first wife who passed away early due to an illness. Later on, I married my concubine but she also caught the same illness. I looked everywhere for treatment but it was hopeless; all the doctors I found weren't able to do anything. Since I previously saw brother Lei Yu at the market give a prescription to an old man who had suffered symptoms from a decade long illness, I assumed you were extremely proficient in the medical field. That's why…" After swallowing a few times, Liu Da Fu didn't finish his sentence but it was clear to everyone that he wanted Lei Yu give it a try.
Hearing this, Lei Yu's heart settled down a bit. It looks like this guy was someone that valued his family a lot and regarding those people, they generally weren't of bad nature. He was the one over thinking things. "Do you know what illness she is suffering from? What are her symptoms?"
"A strange illness, an extremely strange illness. It was exactly the same as my deceased wife back then. Her whole body is covered with sores, which is quite terrifying to look at. No one dares to get close to her, not even the doctors that I invited. They would only stand off to a distance and make observations, and they all said that my wife and concubine were haunted by ghosts! Of course I didn't believe their words so I've never given up. Today I met with brother Lei Yu because I hope that you will go take a look at my wife. Today, I will… I will kneel here before you!" Inside a manor of the Silicon Town, Lei Yu and two others were standing inside a room. Nearby them was a woman lying on top of a bed. Lei Yu believed this woman wasn't very old and shouldn't be more than twenty something. Even though her face looked older than Lei Yu, his age was obviously higher than her's. Ever since he broke through to the Gold Core stage, his appearance seemed to have frozen at that point in time.
The woman's brows were scrunched up while her entire face was covered in open sores that were terrifying to behold. It was no wonder that none of the doctors were willing to get close to her. This was the first time Lei Yu was observing such symptoms first hand, but the <
Lei Yu gently pressed an enclosed sore but with just that light touch, pus started oozing out. Lei Yu frowned, "These symptoms are clearly a poison caused by someone!"
The eyes of those two behind him immediately widened with Lei Yu's words. "Brother, you're saying someone poisoned her?"
Lei Yu turned around and raised a cloth to wipe the pus from his fingers. "Within the pus of the sores, there's a hint of poison that's extremely fishy to me. And I dare to conclude that this poison is from a venomous beast."
"What should we do then?" Liu Da Fu asked in a panic.
"I will tell you several medicinal herbs and you go get it from the herbal stores."
In accordance with Lei Yu's instructions, Liu Da Fu quickly went to buy the herbs and returned with them. Lei Yu pounded these herbs before taking out that snake's gallbladder and cutting more than half of it. He then grounded it into powder and put the herbs in along with some warm water. The whole concoction turned into a paste inside a small porcelain bowl which was then handed over to Liu Da Fu.
"Her entire body needs to be covered by this medicinal ointment and we'll wait outside while you do it. Remember, every sore on her body must be covered by this ointment." Lei Yu instructed.
"Okay, I understand what to do." Said Liu Da Fu as he received the small porcelain bowl. He then walked up to towards his wife while Lei Yu and Zhou Jun Sheng left the room.
Half an hour later, Liu Da Fu came out with a forehead covered in sweat. He showed no signs of gagging which increased the goodwill Lei Yu saw in him. He didn't mind how disgusting his wife looked right now and to Lei Yu, this person didn't have any evil in him.
"I did everyone you told me to so what do we do next?" Asked Liu Da Fu.
Chapter 366 – I'll Take Care Of It
Lei Yu then pulled out the other half of the snake's gallbladder, "Take this and grind it into powder, then split the consumption between morning, noon, and evening. Your honey… um, your wife still has residual poison inside her. This snake's gallbladder has the ability to detoxify and help with blood circulation. Those pus filled sores have formed because the poison inside is using the fat in her body to fuel itself, and it's the perfect material to counteract it."

That Chen family had a lot of thugs under their control so they can even go against the government officials.
Lei Yu ran over to the small stone bridge and looked back towards the second story of the restaurant. All the windows were filled with heads peering out to see what abilities Lei Yu had to make such boastful claims.
Lei Yu stomped down heavily and a huge "boom" echoed all over. People in the marketplace all looked over with eyes filled with shock.
The entire stone bridge was destroyed and the pieces of stone all fell into the river!
Lei Yu immediately leapt off and arrived on the shore. A sword suddenly appeared in his hands and was waved at a huge willow tree. The huge willow tree was neatly cut into two at the base before Lei Yu used a single hand to lift up the entire tree. He then casually tossed it into the air and sliced away at the branches before cutting the leftover log vertically in half.
Lei Yu then tossed the neat half cut log to where the collapsed stone bridge originally was, forming a brand new wooden bridge. In order for it to be stabilized, he stomped down on both ends in order for it to be firmly entrenched into the ground.
Silence! Complete silence! There were hundreds of people on the main street who were staring with a shocked expression. The mouths of each and everyone were already at their maximum O shape. These people were all stunned and unmoving for almost two whole minutes!
The crowd in the second story of the restaurant had originally stuck their heads out to watch a show, had forgotten to pull themselves back inside. One would basically see multiple heads filling out the entire window with gaping shocked expressions.
Liu Da Fu was so shocked that he didn't know what to say. The first person to recover their senses was Zhou Jun Sheng who excitedly exclaimed: "Immortal! He's really an Immortal!"

This type of reaction went down the line for the townspeople. In one go, Lei Yu had destroyed an old dilapidated stone bridge and built a brand new wooden one in its stead. The entire process had made the people stare in a dumbfounded manner. This was also witnessed by a youth in a black colored straw hat who started running towards the direction of the local authorities.
For a short time, the people on the main street were crying out excitedly. This was the first time Lei Yu had flaunted his abilities here because his goal was to give Liu Da Fu and others some confidence. With the abilities he possessed, what kind of dog farts were the Chen family considered?

"Yes! Yes you do! Not even mentioning their manor, even if the county government came, they wouldn't be able to do anything to you!" Liu Da Fu was so excited his eyes were bulging out of their sockets since he had never encountered an Immortal before. Previously when he observed Lei Yu punish that young noble Chen, he thought Lei Yu had used some sort of trick to do it. Now he finally realized that Lei Yu possessed abilities beyond mere mortals.
"Brother, you… you're too powerful!" Zhou Jun Sheng excitedly clapped Lei Yu on the shoulder. His mother sat next to him filled with shock while the other patrons of the restaurant started crowding up towards their table. They all looked at Lei Yu with eyes filled with respect as if he was someone from the heavens.
Just when Lei Yu was about to ask something, he frowned as he detected a series of footsteps outside. As he looked outside the window, he noticed a group of soldiers in uniform had neatly arranged themselves outside the restaurant. A soldier in full armor then looked up before entering the restaurant.
"Who was it that destroyed the town's bridge?" The man had a full beard, thick eyebrows, and a valiant appearance. His voice was ear deafening just like those powerful Generals you see in the army.
Lei Yu drank a gulp of wine before putting the cup down. "You can't just say it like that… the old bridge was destroyed but a new one was built over it right?"
"It was you?" The Officer asked Lei Yu with a frown.
"That's right, it was me." There was no change in Lei Yu's expression as he faintly replied.
"Capture him for me!" Ordered the Officer, causing some soldiers to run up to apprehend him. But was this even possible?
Lei Yu didn't move and undetected by everyone, a few weak purple flashes shot out from his body. One could see those soldiers about to apprehend him start trembling in place. Lei Yu then coldly said: "I have never seen a government official act in such a way before. Go take a look; doesn't the new bridge look quite good? Also, no one is allowed to touch me because… it will make me unhappy!"
Chapter 368 – Within The Court
Lei Yu angrily swept his gaze past the other soldiers. Since the consequences of those soldiers that got near Lei Yu was plain to see, who else would dare to touch him now? The all started backing away and even that arrogant Officer didn't dare to look Lei Yu in the eyes. But since all his subordinates were watching him for further orders, there's no way he could lose face in front of them right?
"You're coming along with us! If you dare to escape, be careful of your head!" After a cold harrumph, the Officer walked downstairs. The group of soldiers on the second floor didn't dare leave until Lei Yu got up and followed the Officer down.
The Court of Law was inquisitorial system where there were two branches in one place – the Justice Department and the Auxiliary Department. The Justice Department was responsible for investigating criminal or civil crimes and handling ordinary trials. The Auxiliary Department also had two responsibilities – they staffed the barracks with soldiers to handle invaders or assisted the Justice Department in investigating cases.
Upon entering the government building, Lei Yu noticed its designs were simple and the place wasn't that big. After crossing the threshold, his ears seemed to have detected some soft voices conversing with and another.
"Lord, quickly look! It's that commoner! It's that commoner that used some unknown method that caused this little one to be filled with wounds!" Seeing Lei Yu enter the main hall, a young man filled with wounds whispered to another person.
Lei Yu recognized that this person was none other than the young noble Chen he had taught a lesson to. It looks like those patrons at the restaurant weren't wrong; the Chen family and the government officials of this town were in cahoots with each other. It seems like he'll have to take some actions today.
That young noble Chen inside the government building still looked somewhat afraid of Lei Yu, so he hurriedly hid in the back of the main hall to eavesdrop on the proceedings.
"Kneel down!" The Magistrate roared at Lei Yu while smashing his wooden mallet.
Lei Yu's brows went up, "I only kneel to the heaven and the earth, my parents, and to Gods. Why should I kneel down to you?"
"You… you… you're trying to rebel?! Come forth and force him down for me!" The Magistrate looked off to the side to the row of constables working for the court. But no one stepped up because they too were at the restaurant and remembered Lei Yu's ability. They were told by their fellow brethren that they barely made a move and were struck by something that felt like lightning. With this in mind, which one of these constables was willing to eat this punishment?
"Didn't you guys hear me? Immediately force him down for me! To defy the Court's authority, paddle him twenty times for me!" The Magistrate was a bit anxious after not seeing his subordinates do a thing.
Lei Yu looked at those constables in a difficult position, "Stop making things difficult for them, they don't even dare to come close and touch me. Isn't that right?" While saying that, Lei Yu started walking towards a particular constable causing the guy to frantically back away in fear. That constable cried out: "That's right! He's an Immortal that descended from the heavens! An Immortal!"
"Hahaha…" Lei Yu started laughing out loud. Today was the day that he was going to punish the Chen family for colluding with the local government and this so called Magistrate presiding over the court.
Suddenly!
Lei Yu stopped laughing and glared towards the direction of the Magistrate's bench. "Why don't you scram out from the rear halls? Don't make me have to level this entire building! Humph!" Lei Yu coldly harrumphed while stomping on the floor. The ground started shaking which caused everyone present to gasp in shock while retreating backwards. They didn't even dare to let out a fart at this time!
That so called Magistrate knew that today he provoked a prickly situation. Cold sweat started dripping down his back. None of his subordinates dared to come forward to apprehend this guy and what abilities did he personally have? Was he supposed to use his old bones to fight to the death? This guy only needed to use a single pinky finger and completely crush him, right?

Most likely this guy did a lot of dirty deeds such as colluding with the rich and depriving the poor of their properties. Today Lei Yu will not spare this young noble Chen or spare this Magistrate of the courts. Since he wasn't someone of this world, he wasn't afraid of causing all hell to break loose. Could he not have the ability to protect himself?
What Lei Yu didn't know was that he was completely wrong. It wasn't that this world didn't have any strong existences; it's just that those strong existences weren't human.
"Why aren't you having that person in the rear hall scram out here? Don't force me to take action or else once I injure his flesh and bones, you wouldn't be able to explain yourself to the Chen family!" Lei Yu said in a carefree manner.
The Magistrate stared with wide eyes, "You… you know there's someone in the rear halls? You… you know of the Chen family?"
Lei Yu patted some dust off his clothing from previously constructing the wooden bridge before replying: "Of course I know about them, how could I not? The Chen family controls a powerful force and is even allied with you, a Court Official. I also heard that they're even acquainted with the imperial family. I would really like to see the extent of the Chen family's abilities."
No one in the main hall dared to speak at this moment. Lei Yu had said those words without restraint so who here dared to be rash? He didn't place the Chen family in his eyes at all so there's no way anyone would dare anger him right now.
Zhou Jun Sheng and Liu Da Fu were waiting there outside of the government building's main hall. Behind them was the crowd of restaurant patrons who wanted to watch the show. They all wanted to see how capable Lei Yu was when dealing with the local government.
"Brother Jun Sheng, what should we do right now?" Liu Da Fu anxiously asked with a depressed look. His own benefactor had been brought to the courts to be interrogated and the atmosphere didn't look good right now.
Zhou Jun Sheng had a helpless look on his face before saying: "Since brother Lei Yu seems to have special abilities, I doubt he would suffer any mistreatment. We will first wait and see. If anything bad happens, you go pick up my mother at the restaurant first while I will stay here to fight it out with them!"
The conversation between those two was heard by Lei Yu's sensitive ears. He turned around to look outside at them, and then smiled while shaking his head to infer for them to not worry.
Sensing that another group of people were nearing from the outside, Lei Yu assumed more and more people were here to watch the show. He didn't want to delay this anymore and shouted: "If you still won't come out, then I won't be polite anymore!"
"I really want to see if he has three arms or six heads! You dare to cause trouble in my territory? Beat him up! You will be rewarded if you manage to break his arms or legs!"
A forty something year old middle-aged man cried out from the newly arrived crowd. A group of people who appeared to be servants wearing identical clothing rushed up intending to beat the crap out of Lei Yu.
"Go pick up my mother!" As Zhou Jun Sheng's voice faded, he grabbed onto one of the servants that rushed past him and started punching him in the face. That guy's two front teeth were knocked out by the punches of Zhou Jun Sheng instantly! "Who dares to hurt my brother?!"
After roaring out angrily, Zhou Jun Sheng rushed up and stood in front. This scene made Lei Yu think back to when the wild boar was about to attack him.
After gently patting his shoulder, Lei Yu smiled and said: "No big deal, they cannot harm me. How about you go back with brother Liu first to see you mother while I stay here a bit longer. I will quickly leave here soon and meet up with you."
"How can I do that? There's so many people here… what if…?"
"There's no 'what if.' Did you forget that you were the first person to call me an Immortal?"
Zhou Jun Sheng thought back to the previous miraculous scene Lei Yu had displayed and his heart was slightly less worried. But he was still hesitating on what to do.
"Just go, quickly leave. Nothing will happen here."
"Fine then!" Zhou Jun Sheng nodded. Just as he was running past the crowd, a palm strike came out of nowhere and struck his head. A "pak" sound was heard and Zhou Jun Sheng started screaming in pain while his body flew back to the entrance of the government building.
