Chapter 1
Prologue: Reincarnation
I had always believed in the concept of reincarnation. It just made sense to me that when we died, our souls would be reborn into new bodies to start a new life. I never expected it to happen to me, though.
I was an avid hiker, and I loved exploring the mountains in my free time. On this particular day, I had decided to tackle a difficult trail that I had never attempted before. I had hiked for hours, my legs burning with exhaustion, until I finally reached the top of a peak. The view was breathtaking. I could see for miles around, the valley stretching out before me in a patchwork of greens and browns.
But as I turned to make my way back down, I lost my footing. I slipped on a loose rock and felt myself tumbling backwards. I tried to catch myself, but it was no use. I fell, my body bouncing off the rocky slope as I tumbled downwards.
As I fell, I felt a deep sense of fear and panic. I had never been so scared in my life. I could feel the wind rushing past me, the ground hurtling towards me at an alarming speed. I knew I was going to die. And then, suddenly, everything went black.
The next thing I knew, I was standing in a vast, empty space. There was nothing around me except for a single figure, standing tall and imposing in front of me.
"Welcome," the figure said, its voice booming and echoing through the void. "You have been chosen to become a god."
I blinked in confusion. "A god?"
"Yes," the figure said. "You have been selected to oversee a world and its inhabitants. You will have great power and responsibility."
I stared at the figure, trying to make sense of what was happening. "Why me?"
"That is not for you to know," the figure said. "But know this: your previous life is over. You have been reborn as a god, and you must accept your new role."
I felt a sense of shock and disbelief wash over me. Reborn as a god? It was almost too much to comprehend. And yet, as I looked around me, I could see that it was true. The darkness around me was fading away, and a new world was taking shape before my eyes. It was unlike anything I had ever seen before. The sky was a deep shade of purple, and the stars shone brightly overhead. Strange creatures roamed the land, and there was a sense of magic and mystery in the air.
I knew then that I was no longer on Earth. I had been reborn in a new world, as a god.
But as the initial shock wore off, I felt a sense of fear and unease creeping over me. I had no idea what lay ahead. I was in a completely new world, with no idea how to navigate it or what my role as a god would entail. And what had happened to my previous life? Was it truly over, as the figure had said? I felt a deep sense of loss and sadness as I thought of all the people and places I had left behind.
But even as those thoughts weighed heavily on my mind, I felt a warm, comforting breeze wash over me. It was like a gentle hand on my shoulder, guiding me forward. And with that, I felt a renewed sense of purpose and determination. I was a god now, and I had a world to oversee. I took a deep breath and looked around me. I didn't know what lay ahead, but I was ready to face whatever challenges awaited me...
As I looked around, a voice suddenly echoed through the world. "System activating. Welcome, my lord. I am your guide and advisor. I will provide you with all the information you require."
I blinked in surprise, not sure what to make of the sudden announcement. But even as confusion gripped me, I felt a sense of power and importance. It was clear that in this world, I was a being of great significance. And with the system by my side, I knew that I had the tools to face any challenge that lay ahead.
