Cosma Empire Chapter 1

Durin Ksima is the third child of the Ksima family. He has three brothers and two sisters beside two brothers and a sister. It can be said that it was one of the worst that Dulin's family was born at least for the generation.

But unfortunately, he is not of a prominent family name with a deep background. It's just a good country joke in Mr. Farmer's family. Who gave birth to so many children?

It is true that Durin was the son of a farmer, and every day he had to do a lot of manual labor to enjoy some free time after dinner.

If nothing had happened, Durin could have married, at the age of twenty, with a horse on his back or two mules, a woman with a face full of shit in the country where he lived, and a woman as rude as he was with the Agricultural work. Then his father would take him out of the house and, with the help of his brothers and sisters, build his own cabin as close as possible to the house and then, like his farmer's father.

During the day, open agriculture as much as possible, expand the reach of the crop and take good care of crops that are not really prone to problems.

At night, work as much as possible in your wife's womb, trying to give birth enough babies for you and lightening the load for a while.

Almost all the peasants would spend their lives so clear that there could be a ray of light in their simple and ordinary lives, but that glow was only a small unwillingness to be noticed under the sun.

But it was not unexpected that this happened, and our story began with a small accident of Durin!

"My God, how did this happen?" Mrs. Kessmar covered her mouth and stared in disbelief at her eldest son and second son who was dragging Durin unconscious from the carriage.

It was evident that his head was injured and that there was a stain of dried blood on his forehead. It seemed that if he had not fallen to the ground and touched a stone after drinking Mr. Kessler's wine, he would have gone to the bird's nest again.

There is no entertainment in this rural area, far from the city, except for the time after the lights go out at night. So most of the young people spend a little free time drinking, playing and watching the girls. Of course, if possible, they will think a little about their stomachs, like making a game to reward them for not having a greasy stomach.

Mason, the eldest son, rolled up his sleeve and wiped a handful of sweat from his forehead. He smiled bitterly and told the whole story simply. In short, after finishing the job, the three of them slipped into the hayloft to be lazy, a stone that had flown out of nowhere, hit Durin on the forehead, and was in a coma until now.

With tears in her eyes, Mrs. Kessmar approached Durin and gently brushed her hair. His rough palms landed on Durin's small, tight face. "My poor Durin ..." When he looked again, his eyes grew fierce. "Do you know who threw the stone?"

In the country, if a woman has the temperament of "big and small ladies", then she can not live until she is 30 years old, she will end up depressed. Never underestimate the destructive power of compatriots. The great repetition of agricultural work has made them have hostile mouths and overcome their barbarity. To scold the street? It's just a post-meal anecdote, based on the family, and it's the fight over something that does not fit the table that people enjoy talking about.

Mason laughed and scratched his head. He did not see the man.

Mrs. Kessmar scolded the trash and asked the brothers to return Durin to his squeaky bed.

They did not ask for a priest or a doctor, not that they could not even get a little money, but they had to wait. If Durin had not woken up in a day or two, they would invite the only priest in town to go see him, or the doctor who had lost his teeth because of a leaky speaker.

It may be a murder in the city, but in the countryside, this is the right way to do it.

When it comes to a last resort, no money will come out!

In a coma, Durin had a dream, very complicated, in which he saw strange things and savored a trip he could not describe. When a bullet was pierced by the poor worm, he woke up.

After he woke up, the first sentence reassured the family for decades.

I go to the city!

Mr. Kosma sat cross-legged on a hardwood chair with his cigarette lit, and with a chill dropped the last piece of his cigarette on the floor and rolled it up. When he raised his eyebrows again, the members of the family kept a slightly bowed expression, serious and modest.

Mr. Kosma was the true ruler of the family, and without him, there would be no one here. For the ignorant and backward camp, Mr. Kosma clearly had more power than theocracy and imperial law.

"You ... Do you want to go to the city?" Mr. Kessmar tried to keep his tone less aggressive, which seemed silly. Can someone go to the city? If the country is a nice nest, then the city is a hell, a magical cave. Every minute, every second, is a torment. In that damn place, even breathing costs money.

Penniless?

Then you can only become a vagabond. If you are lucky, you can find the charity of your good heart and fill your stomach. If there is bad luck, it is very likely that the traffickers catch up and send them north to look. After all, a strong young man like Dulin is the favorite type of mine owner.

At Mr. Cosma's question, Dulin nodded seriously. "Yes, father, I'm going to the city, I can not spend my whole life in this place, life is so precious that if it does not shine, it's

it is not better to live than to die.

"You can not read, after you go to the city, you're like a blind person with open eyes, you can not read traffic signs, you can not read newspapers, you can not even read the bulletins."

Knowing that Mr. Cosma was trying to stop him, Durin had decided to leave the country. It can not rot and decompose slowly in this place like a traveling corpse. He needs to create his own life.

Like the poor man in the dream, even if his last wife is separated, even if he has nothing at all, even if he dies under a bullet, he will cast his own bright light.

If it's mediocre, it's better to die!

"I will learn from my father, I know you have your knowledge, but I want to leave and hurry, I can repair leather shoes and repair umbrellas These are all the skills I can live in the city I can handle the difficulties, father, I do not want to work , just give me a place to live, I think someone will be willing to hire me as a fool. " Persuading Mr. Cosma is the only way Dulin leaves the country.

Every week a car passes by the place called alfalfa, but it takes money to get on the bus.

Even Mason, the oldest son of nineteen, had not touched the money a few times in the big family, except Mr. Kessa, let alone the one behind him.

"Are you sure you want to leave, leave me, your mother and your brothers and sisters?" Mr. Kersma's tone was hard, and the most intolerable thing for a country father like him was the refusal of the ignorant child to his goodness and his constant defiance of his will.

Dulin remained silent for a moment, and lowered her belt. It was made of a cow tendon. It was strong and was covered with thick layers of putty outside. He put the belt on the table, then took off his coat and fell to the ground.

"If you want to enforce the family law, execute it before leaving." "Because I've taken the first and most important decision of my life, and I'm going to leave here and go to the city," Durin said firmly.

"Even if I get hurt and die in the city, that would be my choice, I respect you, I love you, you have given me life, but I hope that in my life, I can have that day, let me personally dominate my own future! !

Eventually, instead of lifting his belt, Mr. Kosma rolled two cigarettes in succession and looked at his children from time to time. Although he had little culture and did not know much truth, life gave him the wisdom that human beings should have. When a puppy runs out of the nest, the other puppies do not want to stay in the nest. Durin probably did not realize that he had changed his mind, not only to himself, but also to his brothers and sisters.

On a silent night, nobody was interested in communicating, thinking about Durin's departure.

Early in the morning, Mr. Kessler was sitting at a table outside the kitchen. He had a small box the size of a palm tree that Mr. Kessler had brought from a trip to the city, filled with a cigarette with a filter tip, which Mr. Kessler considered a treasure. Later ... It seemed as if the next New Year's Day, when Mr. Kessler pulled out the box, discovered that a cigarette full of mold was missing.

Angrily he exposed the moldy cigarettes to the sun in the hope of saving some, but it turned out to be useless.

From that moment, the iron box became the instrument he used to keep important things, and hid it in the hole under the third table under the bed.

Yes, the whole family knows where he hid his things, and only he thinks that nobody else knows.

Maybe he knew that today he was leaving the decadent field to go to the metropolis and start his own future. Durin had not closed his eyes during the night and was still in a good mood in the morning. He wore linen straps and a light blue, white canvas jacket, washed in places, which was common in the field. He is clean and full of longing for the future.

"Father!"

Dulin greeted him. Mr. Kosmos pointed to the chair next to him and asked him to sit down. When Durin sat down, Mr. Kosmos pushed the cup away, took the small iron box, hesitated, and gave it to Durin.

"There are twenty yuan in it, which is enough for you to live in the city for three months." In three months you will have two ways to go, either to live your life or to return to the field of hunger. He slapped Durin on the shoulder, squeezed him hard and let Durin feel a twinge of pain. "Remember, you're a child of the Kosmos, and do not forget you still have a way out, if you can be like those Decent guys or not. "

"No matter what time, we'll welcome you home."

Durin found it difficult to imagine that his father, who used to be reserved, solemn and always gave a stereotyped impression, could say such sentimental things. His nose was slightly sour, and he nodded hard. "I see, if I come back one day, it's not because I do not have hope and I return like a loser. I will fill the flower floor, and people will play along the way, because they will welcome a king back home! "

Mr. Kosmos smiled and slapped Durin on the back of the head. "Come on, boy, do not play tricks in your mouth."

The two left home and did not say goodbye to his family. They walked in silence towards the city. After waiting for about half an hour, an old-fashioned car with sixteen wheels arrived, slowly looking a bit stupid. There are already some people on the train, most of them are still empty.

Seeing that the car stopped slowly, Mr. Kosmos suddenly gave a big hug to the son who sometimes angered him, and slapped him on the back as if to have something in mind. Come on, the chicks have to leave their nests and live alone. I can not give you an excellent family, but I will not stop you flying in the sky! "

Durin took a deep breath and looked at his father, whose face was wrinkled, whose hair was pale and withered, with a haze in his eyes. He did not say another word, got on the bus, chose a seat by the window, in his father's eyes, on the bumpy road, little by little he left the city that had raised him for 16 years.
