glory seeker 12 A tempermental metor

Shin walks into the class to see three empty chairs and a large board parallel to it.

"Shin comes to take a seat," Monsoon said in a sweet tone of voice. Shin took the middle seat and looked up at monsoon. the light coming through the window in stark contrast to her short pitch black hair. she had a weird bow-like thing in her hair the same blue color as her eye which seemed to shine in the light. Shin looked at her and thought 'she looks like she is about the same age as me' which she did she looked no older than 17 to 19 years old, but she was really quite short.

*Slap* She closed the book on her desk "Now then" she said pulling her hair over her ear. "I'd like to know. why the king has taken a special interest in you?" She said curiously. Shin stayed silent. one of the rules given to him by aceton was that he stay quiet of his past. "Very well then," Monsoon said while giving out a sigh.

"what do you know about medtron as a whole" Monsoon said. "truly i know nothing about the region and would really appreciate someone of your caliber to teach me, "Shin thought that if he bootlicked enough she would forget the question of his past. "Flattery will get you, nowhere boy," she said coldly "Now let me explain. You are in the water capital of the world. this place is well known to be a prosperous place, this is the best place for cultivation in the world when it comes to water. and the people are very prideful about this capital so be wary of arrogance." monsoon said while walking closer to Shin "We practice water day in and day out" She said walking slowly. Shin felt something wet on his foot and it slowly went up to his leg. he looked down in a panic to see a tentacle of water grabbing his leg up to his knee. Shin tried to move away but its grip was tight, and before he knew it he was upside down with his while body bound by water. Shin struggled but couldn't move an inch. he tried to scream but the water covers his mouth like a hand."Now then I am sorry to be rude. but just understand i don't take kindly to disobedient students. so next time I answer a question you answer do you understand?' She said with a wry smile on her lips. Shin nodded "Good. now let's begin the lesson" As she said that the water lost its grip and dropped him to the ground and evaporated. "I am going to teach you how to use magic and how to cultivate as well as help with comprehension." she handed him a book." This is what you will learn first" Shin read the title *introduction to magic* "Your real lessons will begin one month from now. i expect you to exercise a lot during this period. the use of magic is very draining and your small, skinny body couldn't handle it." Monsoon stated "But you're like half my size. how come yo-" before he could finish his sentence. a blade of water passed by his ear at blinding speed "what was that??" Monsoon said glaring daggers at Shin "NOTHING!" Shin yelped "Now then. Here follow this to the letter. Do not skip a day. Understood?"Monsoon added, "Yes teacher."

As Shin left the room he looked at the paper given to him it was nothing but an exercise regiment "Does she think I haven't tried this before?" but the last thing on the page was a book she listed for Shin to check out of the library *introduction to cultivation* Shin thought back to the wolfs he needed cultivation essence back then was this the way to get it? he was about to rush to the library but stopped. because he didn't where it was.

"Need help, Shin?" Sebastian chimed in "Oh yes thank you" Shin was surprised he didn't even see Sebastian in the hall and didn't hear him walk up. "what do you need?" Sebastian asked"Oh to the library" Shin responded with haste "ok follow me" Sebastian lead the way and Shin followed.
