Zannen Kei na Ojou-sama no Nichijou Chapter 23

23. Sweets are Justice  Entering the east school building, Hitomi let out a languished sigh.

“Nevertheless, to receive harassment at once huh, maybe I’ll need to start taking care with the the surroundings too”
“Why would Hitomi?” Asked Sumire tilted her head with a blank face.

Hitomi returned a bitter smile as she gave Sumire a pat on the head.

“It’s fine if Sumire does it instead but, I doubt you will either way. I’m probably more suitable in terms of standing too”

I guess Hitomi’s just the type who can’t leave those in trouble alone.

Amongst the flower princesses in our generation, I find Hitomi to be the one with the most common sense. It’d be a lot easier to for existences like us, flower princesses, to solve any occurring problems in the school but to say whether members would actually do such a thing… I think the majority would more or less just leave it as it is. Especially Katagiri Hidemiri, Ayanokouji Miyabi and puppet-chan, I doubt they’d stick their noise into bothersome issues. It might be a different case if they didn’t like the other party but for fights between girls who have nothing to do with them… they don’t seem like the type who’d take interest.

“I don’t think it’d be good to dive too deep into this, Hitomi. Giving care and listening to others’ problems is Hitomi’s good point but Sumire is worried if Hitomi will tire herself out emotionally from that”

Sumire’s saying something serious.

Hitomi too, seems surprised as she fixedly stared at Sumire with her mouth wide open. I wonder what happened.

“Sumire has a good idea!”
“Good idea?”
“Indeed, eating delicious food brings happiness, if we give sweets to the students in conflict, happiness forms and the problem might as well be solved!”
“No, it won’t”

Hitomi gave a blunt reply immediately afterwards.

As expected, Sumire is just the child of an idiot. There’s no way things could get solved like that.

“What’s with that! Things like harassment happens because the heart has no allowance! Eat something sweet and there forms happy end!”
“I don’t think a quarrel between girls is as simple as Sumire thinks”
“As Maria says, it’s not something that can be solved with just sweets. And that, it’s better for Sumire to leave the issue as it is. It’ll prevent things from getting more complicated”

Although saying that, Hitomi’s case is probably more on not wanting Sumire to do anything dangerous than any complications that could possibly form.

It’s better to have a pure type like Sumire not get involved with something like harassment from warped emotions of others. Well, if by any chance Sumire does get involved, Hitomi seems like she’d give it her all in protecting her.

“Even though sweet things are justice!”

Pouting her mouth sulkily, Sumire opened the teddy bear ‘friend’ from its back. The attachment there is from Velcro apparently.

In any case, she began eating a violet coloured candy that she took out from the bear. It didn’t take long for Sumire to be thoroughly humoured by sweets and start humming in clumsy skip-walk in-betweens.

Or perhaps I should protest… So your friend was a food safe!?

I’ve been thinking for a long time till now, that Sumire’s speech and conduct is of inevitable profound mystery. To have this normally innocent ojou-sama act not be exposed in itself is amazing. Speaking of which, which one does she use at home I wonder…
