Yuusha Isagi no Maou Hanashi Chapter 58.1

Isagi decided to make the first move as he was surrounded in all side by Caliburnus' party. With that, the person that he had to defeat before the rest was the one with the capability for the invocation the Restoration Technique; which should be Cyndiana and Caliburnus, respectively. Isagi as he dashed toward Cyndiana with steel sword on his right hand as he invoked magic.

"Flash!"

Bright light engulfed the room.

Isagi thought that he only needed to stop their movement for an instant for him to strike a blow on Cyndiana. However, the reality doesn't seem to work like he had intended as the swordsmen, Gregor, parried his sword that aimed at Cyndiana. It seems that their title as the strongest party in the entire continent wasn't just for show.

"Magic sword Yurlungur, I rely on you"

The next moment word left Gregor's mouth, the sword in his hand started to emit a seven colored light. From how it shines a seven different color of light, Isagi knew that it was a high ranking even among magic swords. A strong current of water suddenly shoot from the tip of that sword, moving like a water cutter that seems able to cut trough steel.

Despite charging in full speed at Cyndiana, Isagi able to barely evade that attack by twisting his body to the side with all he got. Probably thinking that there's no way for his attack to be evaded, a surprised expression floated on Gregor's face. Isagi took this chance and thrust his sword toward Gregor's throat. However, before his sword even able to touch that man's throat...

His sword was deflected by a thin membrane of water. A spherical barrier come out of thin air and protecting Gregor. However, there doesn't seem to be any trace of magical power even when Isagi inspect his surrounding with the Magic Eyes. Thus, this most likely is the ability of that sword. Looking at his last attempt, breaking that barrier doesn't seem to an easy feat even for Isagi.

'Heh, so that's what their plan...'

Isagi looked at his surrounding without removing his vigilance against Gregor, and he saw Cyndiana and Sest started to construct a wide range fire magic. A magic that so big that Gregor was inside it's blast range.

'As I thought'

Now that Gregor already had the water barrier protecting himself, the only one who would suffer a damage from this attack was Isagi alone. Of course, Isagi had tried to retreat, however as he do so, Caliburnus suddenly appeared in front of him.

"Where do you think you're going?"

It seems as he was busy dealing with the rest of the party, Caliburnas took that opportunity to reach for a sword from his party. It seems the sword that Sest brought with him was Calibunus' all along. Fortunately, that sword doesn't seem to be Claiomh Solais.

Caliburnus quickly swung his sword downward, but Isagi able to evade that slash by twisting his body to the side. Then, with a flick of his wrist, he threw a dagger toward Caliburnas. Using the moment when Caliburnus bend his body backward to evade that dagger, Isagi activate his technique.

"-- Last Resort - Minisize-!"

He jumped backward while activating a Break Technique that he personally modified to just focus its effect to a single point, and he directed it toward Gregor. This was a technique that he created after seeing how Shirbenia and Kyaschi used a bare minimum magical power to disturb each other's invocation. He had thought that his control over Break Technique would be raised as his ability on magic increased. That guesses proven to be true. The magic practices that he done on his journey with the siblings make him able to complete this technique --- And now, Isagi was able to use the Break Technique to its maximum potential.

Gregor gasped in surprise seeing a hole suddenly appeared on the water barrier.

"SHIT, The barrier is..."

The moment the magic finally erupted, Isagi covered his face as he just got blown away by the shock wave that was created by that attack. On the other side, being enclosed in thigh space make the fire become twice as powerful as it burn Gregor inside the barrier, leaving a charred black corpse that slowly kneel as life slowly leaving his body.

"What the hell? What's with that weird technique just now?"

Cyndiana raised his wand in panic, tried to cast a Restoration Technique to Grergor. However, Isagi wouldn't give her time to invoke that technique. First of all, Isagi tried to entrap Caliburnas inside a barrier. There's nothing special with that barrier, though. Using the chance when Caliburnus retreated, tried to evade the entrapment, Isagi dashed toward Gregor position and swung his sword toward Gregor's neck... however, it's stopped before it could go all trough his neck.

Just like Isagi had though, this man also caught in God Diseases, too. Now that it come to this, Isagi once again activated his technique, Brave, and aiming at the sword that already halfway through Gregor's head. With the blow that uses all of his body weight in it, the sword shattered along with Gregor's head that's flung to the air. A piece of shattered sword finds its way toward Cyndiana who's already started to construct her technique. However, before that piece of sword able to reach its destination, it's blocked by someone.

"Goddess Shield!"

A barrier quickly appeared in front of her. Sest showing a feat that's human would never able to achieve, a casting speed that's rivaling Isagi's movement speed. However, all of that seems to proven to be useless as Isagi extended his hand toward the sword trajectory; activating another technique in his sleeve.

"Last Resort- Strenght!"

A Break Technique where he able to control its trajectory, flew in straight line, and created a hole in that barrier.

"Wha...!"

The sword pierced right in between Cyndiana's eyes. Just like that, she fell to the ground and convulsed.
