Gu Chu was awakened by his kiss. She heard the last group of customers talking and laughing outside the rockery. They seemed to be in a good mood after tasting the wine, and came here for a stroll.

Their voices were getting closer. Gu Chu panicked and grabbed his collar to try and push him away.

Gu Chu heard the footsteps getting closer and closer. She was about to cry. She started to hit his chest.

Finally, Feng Jia let go of her lips, but he was still dangerously close to her. “If this happens again, I'll lock you up at home with a chain.”

It didn't sound like a joke. Gu Chu's eyes turned red and water swirled in her eyes. “You're joking, right?”

He had almost rubbed off her lipstick completely. He kissed her again, this time gently.

After the kiss, he said, “I'm not joking.”

The waiter waited two meters away and said to Feng Jia, “Mr. Feng, clean clothes in the room have been prepared.”

Both of them were drenched in the rain. If they were not careful, they would easily catch a cold.

Feng Jia nodded.

Although he was cold, he was always polite to others. “Ask the staff to come back. Sorry for troubling you today.”

The waiter said, “It's our duty. Miss Gu came in through the back door. We only looked at the front door and neglected the back door. It was our negligence.”

Two sets of clean pajamas were placed on the bed. Feng Jia first changed Gu Chu's clothes, then took the other set to the bathroom.

Gu Chu changed into her pajamas. After lying on the bed, she turned over and fell into a deep sleep.

Seeing that she was already fast asleep, Feng Jia planned to spend the night here.

Closing the bathroom door, he unbuttoned the buttons one by one. Suddenly, he frowned and put his hand on his chest.

After the feeling of suffocation disappeared, his heart still felt a little uncomfortable.

However, the feeling quickly disappeared. He looked at himself in the mirror and suddenly laughed out loud.

She had promised to come home with him tonight, but she had broken her promise again.

The next morning, Feng Jia asked the housekeeper to bring his and Gu Chu's clothes.

After he changed, Gu Chu's phone alarm rang. She frowned at first, then slowly got up.

After she regained consciousness, she suddenly lifted the blanket. When she saw that she was fine, she breathed a sigh of relief.

Then, she glanced around and found that she was in an unfamiliar environment. She panicked again. “Feng Jia!”

Feng Jia came out of the bathroom and looked at her with a dull expression.

She scratched her hair helplessly. “Was I drunk?”

Feng Jia replied with a simple “Yes.”

Gu Chu could tell that he was in a bad mood. She quickly explained, “I only drank one glass. Chairman Wang said it was sweet, so I didn't think too much about it. I thought there wasn't much alcohol, but…”

She asked guiltily, “I didn't cause any trouble… Did I?”

Feng Jia looked at his watch expressionlessly. “It's almost nine o'clock.”

“Ah!” Gu Chu woke up completely. “I have a board meeting today!”

She rushed out of bed and into the bathroom. When she saw herself in the mirror, she yelled, “My face!”

Then, she yelled at Feng Jia, “Feng Jia! Why didn't you remove my makeup?! Oh my god, my face is going to rot!!!”
