　　When Yi Xun arrived at the altar, it was exactly midnight . The clock on the hilltop struck the hour .  

　　He saw a familiar figure standing by the altar and softly called out: “Ling . ”

　　A young man threw the paper in his hand into the fire and turned his body around . While smiling, he replied: “Ah Xun, I knew you would come . ”

“I’m sorry, Ling, I’m sorry . I’m such a bad person . How could I forget you! Ling, I’m sorry for coming so late . ”

　　When Yi Xun’s voice just landed,  Ling’s tears had already fallen .

　　Not late, not even one bit late .  

　　“Ah Xun, actually, after I wrote those letters, I was in a state of confusion . In the end, should I have not written those letters to you? But later, feelings defeated reason . I wished to see you again . Even if it was for the very last time . ”

　　Ling: “Ah Xun, I missed you . ”

　　Yi Xun walked forward and with both hands clasped his face . Then gently and cautiously wiped the tears from his eyes . After that, he held him in an embrace . “Ling, I really missed you too . I missed you so much, till the point I almost went crazy . ”

　　“Ling, don’t leave me again, okay?”

　    “Ah Xun…… . You know that it’s impossible . The energy inside me is no longer enough to support my body to operate normally . I don’t have enough power anymore…… . ”

    　“Ling, no! If you didn’t save me that year, then you wouldn’t…… . die . It was all my fault . ”

　　“Ah Xun, how could you think that way? Even if I didn’t save you at that time, I would still disappear . Besides, I had to save you, protect you, it was my life’s goal . It’s just a shame that your body has not fully recovered even now . ”

　　“Ling…… . ”

　　“Ah Xun, be happy, from the very beginning, I was a person who was destined to die . I want to thank you for leaving a piece of treasured memories in my very long life . ”

　　“I liked you from the very first time I saw you, straight away . I liked your recklessness, I liked your free smile, that’s why I picked you . ”

　　“Even if later on I had to leave this life and disappear when I died, I have never regretted it . ” 

　　“Meeting you is the greatest luck in my life . ”

　　“Ling . ” Yi Xun took a deep breath and said the words buried inside his heart .

　　“I love you, really truly love you . ”

　　Ling replied with a smile: “Me too ah, but this time we really have to say goodbye . ”

　　Yi Xun’s complexion suddenly turned deathly white . Ling caught sight of the tears that came out from his eyes .  

　　He remembered Yi Xun once said, to become a person who did big things, one must sever all kinds of feelings . Tears, this thing, he did not need . Yet, this was his fortune .   

　　Ling softly kissed Yi Xun’s face and happily laughed .  

　　“My entire existence was against natural law . Right now, I am actually very thankful because it let me meet you . ”

　　“Ah Xun . ”

　　“I love you . ”

　　Suddenly …

　　Ling’s body, like the bright white moon in the East, gradually faded until there was nothing left .

　　It had disappeared .

　　What remained was just Yi Xun, a single person .

　　In the extremely vast darkness, he wept without making any sound .  

        On this Earth, there wasn’t any mountain god . The so-called mountain god was just a soul . Consuming one’s own small power to come and bless the people in this place . And also, was his most beloved person .
