By the look of things, she must have lived a painful life as a slave. This is the first time I’ve heard of a monster living as a slave within the human world. Her body tried to cower back in fear but she wasn’t able to move due to being restrained by the gelatinous cube.
「If all you do is fear, nothing good will happen! The Arachne resisted until the end of her life, she never gave up fighting. In comparison to that, just what are you?! Even if all you do is cower and tremble, nobody is going to come to save you! Then at the very least, whether you live or die, you should open your eyes widely!」
She was fuming. She was obviously unable to restrain her feelings of anger. Something may have triggered Astarte’s emotions to explode. Astarte continues speaking in a fit of passion.
………Originally I was going to stop her there, but I wanted to let her continue a little more.

Using the fire from the torch, I melted a little bit of the gelatin cube restraining her shoulder. The gelatin cube was not something very strong against fire. Just by having fire close to it, the gelatin cube shrunk back and was slowly decreasing in volume.

That’s why, even though I fought that Arachne….. Kagome and defeated her, it wasn’t out of hatred. Challenging the Assassination guild, is also not because of hating you.』
Whilst holding back her tears, Miyabi was listening patiently to my words. If she could pull out her fangs and stab me right now, it would be her victory, but she was in no mind set to do that. That’s because she has no reason to fight. She was not in the mindset to take revenge; she was more concerned with “not wanting to die”.
Even if she killed me here, there would be no future for her. She was currently filled with sorrow, she had already lost her violent emotions of wanting to kill me.
「I do not wish to kill you, in fact if we can live peacefully together, I would rather take that option. But let’s leave the difficult part till later. I’m sorry to have taken your precious person away from you. At least for now….. You can slowly cry it out.」
After a few seconds of confusion. The Snake Princess Miyabi started to cry out in a loud voice *waah-waah*.
………. Ahh, what can I say about this. This is like stirring up trouble and then getting credit for giving her the solution. Astarte was acting like the whip and right now I was showing a good side and offering her the candy.

…..When you think about the fact that she has lived her life as a slave in the past, even though it is a miserable story, it is unlikely that this Lamia had no experience being violated by a man.
But it may be that there was never anyone gentle enough towards her and it was perhaps the fact that no man would want to kiss a Lamia’s lips in the first place.
Nevertheless, her innocent and inexperienced actions was strangely really cute.
After exchanging plenty of saliva, caressing her ears and brushing her hair we finally parted our lips.

Turning crimson red Miyabi was showing an expression of shyness.
Apparently in the confusion she forgot about the pain in her arms.

Astarte, Sara and Diana were still on their toes, where as Shiro and I began to remove the gelatin cube restraining her.
Originally Shiro is the most suitable girl to be placed in charge of scanning for any surprise attacks, but right now Shiro was more emotionally sympathetic to Miyabi’s condition and I can’t really expect any brilliant results from her current state.
In any case, Diana was still very cautious of our surroundings so I decided to just let them get along with each other.
「Your name is called Miyabi? Shiro’s name is pronounced Shiro. We’ve been fighting against each other up till now, but since we are going to be serving the same Master, let’s get along with each other okay?」

In this underground waterway, the Snake Princess who had gained back her freedom swore an oath that echoed in the hallway.

From the start of the attack which was at midnight, the whole thing took place in the span of less than 1 hour.

The feelings within these words were half admiration and half amazement.

With nobody to back me up at this juncture, my position fell into a bad state again.
「Even though I was delivering the good news with such great pains, why is this happening……」
A little over half a day had passed since the underground waterway fight.
Before the bell rung to signify the start of the evening. a messenger arrived to Evram to convey the victory of the expeditionary army.
Because the people of Evram thought that they were in a desperate situation, they were now enveloped in delight.
On that day, the main streets were overflowing with dancing people and the Count of Evram was drinking sake and eating food amongst the common people.
It’s been two days since the triumphant return of the expeditionary army led by Temple Knight Olivia. And since meeting up with Sara, Olivia had already participated in the parade at the plaza.
In the meantime, it was not like we did nothing.
Without informing the Assassination guild of my existence in much detail, Diana was made the new leader and we began restructuring the organization.
We started sorting out the information from the official documents that were left behind by Arachne, the information in regards to the flow of money we obtained from the treasurer and the connections that the guild had with the Lambert family.
Right now the Lambert family wasn’t doing anything, but we definitely need to be prepared for the day we come into contact with them.
The Magician Sarah who was part of the supposed annihilated group of adventurers the “Red Crows” was found to be alive. Furthermore, having performed contributions as Olivia’s close aide, she was rewarded by the royal court of Evram. She was becoming a huge topic amongst the adventurers in Evram.
It is fortunate that a lot of people knew that Sara was a newcomer in the Red Crows group, so her surviving was seen as her being “a lucky adventurer”.
Various places were discussing things about me so I tried to lay low.
The count of Evram was accompanied by Olivia and her Knight Gaspearl we were about to have an informal meeting. I did not want our meeting to be made public, but it was actually Olivia who mentioned “I don’t want a friend of mine to be involved in a political struggle” so they decided to just give me the remuneration in secret.
The count of Evram was also aware that Olivia was one of the people being aimed by the assassins and he also didn’t want to involve someone like me who had no armed guards as protection.
There were already parts of his hair and beard that were white, and he was losing a little bit of height and going thinner, he was over 50 years of age and approaching his 60’s, this man was definitely a senior in age. However, his insight and mind were still as sharp as ever.
Hearing that I had saved Olivia from a crisis and that we were friends, the count thanked me and I did not feel like he was feigning his gratitude.
Even so, I felt like if we continued talking for a prolonged period, he would be able to see through my façade so in all honesty I wasn’t feeling very comfortable.
Nevertheless, he allowed me to do business in Evram and guaranteed that I would be able to rent a shop in the commercial district in the new area and as someone like me with little backing, I was very grateful.
And so, after two days, the festival and celebrations were over and Evram returned to its usual daily routine. The long summer has passed and a harsh winter was approaching. This was a time for harvesting the crops and the city seemed to be slightly more festive.
After finally settling down, I met with Olivia near the Castle that was bestowed to Sara. It has been three days exactly since the underground waterway incident.
And it has been around ten days since the battle in the Mining village dungeon. Even though it has been an unexpectedly short amount of time, I somehow felt like a long time had passed.
Both Sara and I were walking through this underground passage (The building given to Sara seems to be a house that has the so-called hidden passage) and the three of us including Olivia were celebrating our reunion.
So talking up to this far, we come back to the state where I was pressed into a corner.
「So….. Her name is Miyabi? That girl, what’s her deal?」
Olivia was asking me in a wary manner.
Just like the time I first met her, she was wearing her office work glasses and she looked up at me through her lens with a slight glare.
From her eye glasses it normally signified that she was some sort of scholar or a person of the church, or perhaps she was a shopkeeper that needed to read and write, it was the kind of glasses used in those situations.
Her glasses also seemed to have been made by a blacksmith and it was the sort of lens that was made with a special type of glass that could correct an eyesight’s deficiencies.
In short, Olivia’s eyes were bad because she probably studied too much and did a lot of paper work at night.
In saying this, she was just talking to me and asking some questions so why did she feel the need to wear her glasses……? Is there some sort of magic hidden in those glasses?
「Elliot, you don’t know why you are being glared at right?」
「Eh?」
Sara bluntly declared and I was left speechless.
「….Yeah, I knew it. Elliot has always been a block head in these types of matters. He’s usually so proactive in the spur of the moment so why is it in these types of matters that he……」
Olivia shrugged her shoulders in both amazement and resignation.
「Umm, the thing is. Elliot? I have been really lonely because I haven’t been able to meet you for many days. Now that we are finished with the busy days, I have enough time to introduce Elliot with my father… and when I was thinking about this matter… I heard about your new girl, you know?」
「O-Olivie? Don’t you seem really mad!?」
「I am not really….. angry. I also understand that Elliot crossed a really dangerous bridge again for my sake. I also know that it has succeeded. However… I feel like you should think about me even if it’s just a little bit….」

Olivie, is she being a little jealous right now?

I feel like her stiff aspects has disappeared and she has become a lot more flexible and more determined. This was a change that occurred after hanging out with Sara and I. If I can give strength to Olivie than I am glad.
「Olivie, Sara. Umm…. I know this is sudden and I was trying to hold back because the mood isn’t really set but…… Shall we do it?」
