WHAT ATTRACTS POSITIVE MANIFESTATION 14 14 A GOOD CONSCIENCE

Man is in three parts; but this does not mean you can divide man into three. It simply means man is a tripartite being (a being with 3 parts). Man has three compartments where he functions. When a man dies, it is only the body that is dead while the soul and the spirit continue to exist.

In medical field, it has just been discovered that there is life after death because of so many evidences that cannot be denied, not one or two, but several of them. There have been records of men and women who came back to life few minutes after they were confirmed dead. When the 'dead' were asked what their experiences look like, they said they just saw themselves looking at their body at a distance.

Though declared dead in the physical, yet, they could hear everything others were saying including the running around of the hospital staff. They could not explain it, but a force brought them back into their body as if they put on their clothes and they woke up.

How can somebody be clinically dead and yet he knows every discussion that was going on? How could he have known that, if not for the fact that he had lived despite the fact that his/her body was, at that time, confirmed dead? This can only be explained by the fact that there is a part of man different from the physical body. It simply means the body which can be seen is truly dead, but there is another part of the man that is alive.

Therefore, in medicine, there is a glimpse that proves that something exists in man that does not die. You are more than your body you can see. There is a complexity about man that is still beyond human reasoning but is known to God.

And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

I Thess 5:23

Anytime we have victory in our human spirit, it will also manifest in the soul and body. This is because man is first a spirit before he has a body. It is pity people spend so much money decorating the outward man, the house (the body); forgetting that the real us is not the body; the real us is the spirit in us.

How do we have total and absolute success? How do you laugh at the storms of life? How do you become the best God wants for you? It lies in our spirit. The place that God lightens your candle is your spirit.

The spirit of man is the candle of the LORD, searching all the inward parts of the belly.

Prov 20:27

The human spirit has 3 parts, namely: the conscience, the communion (fellowship) and the inward witness. Though my emphasis here will be on conscience, let me define other parts briefly.

Communion: This is where you fellowship with the Lord. This is the area that was activated in you when you received Jesus as your Saviour and had Holy Ghost baptism. Whereas the unbeliever may have conscience as part of their spirit, the parts of inward witness and communion (or fellowship) with the Lord is dead.

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.

John 1:12

When someone says he has made Jesus his Lord, the life of God called Zoe activates that communion part of his spirit that was once dead. And when the communion aspect is made active, the life of God begins to operate in him. As your own life is your blood, so also the ZOE is the life of God. At the moment of your second birth, God impacts His life in you so you can have constant and unbroken fellowship with Him. You become alive, so we say you are born again. Your spirit becomes born again because the communion aspect is now alive.

Inward witness is where God gives you direction for whatever you want to do in life. God placed it in us to avoid making mistakes that can be detrimental to our future. Those who are not attuned to their inward witness do not know the best decision to take in life; who to marry, where to go, which vehicle to board to avert accident and how to go about all our daily activities.

As a believer, you are not supposed to always wait for prophecy because it may not come; but your inward witness is where God leads you. As a matter of fact, without the inward witness, your sonship is in doubt!

For as many as are led by the spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

Romans 8:14

Conscience is the voice of your spirit. It is the voice of your human spirit. Whether you are a believer or unbeliever, every human being has a voice of the spirit called conscience. But anyone who does not know how to tune to it may not enjoy the benefit of the voice of the spirit because the signal is poor.

Your conscience either condemns or justifies you. It is the judiciary of your heart and like any human judge; it either condemns the sinner or frees the innocent. Your conscience is the place of your peace or lack of it.

If your motive is pure and your whole being is completely devoted to God, your conscience will be alive. The issue of conscience is not a one day affair; it is how you are to continuously live your life.

And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offence towards God, and towards men.

Acts 24:16

And Paul, earnestly beholding the council, said, Men and brethren, I have lived in all good conscience before God until this day.

Acts 23:1

Logically, it means if there is good conscience, there is also a bad conscience as well. The secret of Paul's success was that he lived in good conscience. Do not allow your brain, your hatred or love for ephemeral things to stop you from pursuing right things. Not everything that is good is right so don't do things because they are good but do things because they are right.

An associate pastor who has a conscience will not change the name of the church he is assigned to pastor without the knowledge of the General Overseer and make the church his own; no matter who is supporting him. The fact that majority is supporting you to do something against God does not make evil good. If you have a good conscience, you will not steal something that doesn't belong to you. If you have a good conscience, you will not take another man's wife; you will not oppress people and still pretend to be religious; you will not manipulate people to get money from them.

Paul said that the secret he was able to live above all these temptations was because he had a good conscience, a conscience void of offence.

... for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet.

Romans 1:26b-27

Is it not surprising that Apostle Paul could talk about homosexuality even though he was writing to Christians; those who were called to be saints in Rome? And as it was in the days of Paul, so it is today; nowadays, you find there are homosexual human right groups in developed countries who will sue you to court for trying to preach against homosexuality. Such people, their conscience have been seared.

There was a pastor in overseas whose certificate was withdrawn because he refused to join homosexual 'couple' in his church. The charge against him was that he violated the law of their land by going against human right! But to maintain a good conscience, a genuine servant of God will not mind losing his certificate if only to defend and protect the truth of God's word he knows. After all, it is better to lose approval of men than to lose the anointing of God.

Embarrassingly, some unbelievers walk more conscientiously than many who profess to be believers. It didn't just start now, it has been happening since the days of Paul.

For when the gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves: which shows the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or excusing one another.

Romans 2:14-1

Brethren, your conscience always bears witness with you; whether you are a believer or not, and if you are, whether you are still in faith or not.

The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

Romans 8:16

A man that constantly violates his conscience will lose the signal of his spirit. If you are in the habit of silencing your conscience by doing what is wrong, it will get to a point that you will no longer hear the signal of danger and disaster. Therefore, for the voice of your conscience to be active, you must not violate it.

Some have violated their conscience for a long time and now have silenced it forever. While some people will confess after doing wrong things because their conscience will not allow them to rest, some have so much deadened their conscience that they don't feel any form of guilt again, even when they do horrible and abominable things.

For our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have had our conversation in the world, and more abundantly to you ward.

II Cor 1:12

Just like Apostle Paul, you can rejoice in your conscience when you are simple and sincere. In the above verse, Paul was saying that there was nothing he had done that had a hidden agenda. Is it not surprising when a man hides his phone from his wife because he doesn't want her to see the content of the phone?

In view of what we have known about this great apostle, he warns us not to violate our heart. Don't allow anything to put you under pressure as to append your signature on documents that your conscience is not clear about.

Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck.

I Tim 1:19

Some so-called believers profess to have big faith, they can claim anything, but they have no conscience. They can even claim another man's wife if care is not taken. They can tell lies to get whatever they want, falsify documents, forge certificates, etc. Anyone who is fond of pushing his conscience aside will one day be in trouble.

Whenever the conscience of a man is violated, he embraces what God forbids, he trivialises sin as if it is one of those things, what is an abomination to God becomes an opportunity for him. Worse still, he will be bold to share it as a testimony before the people of God in the church! He engages in all manner of vices, yet is in a leadership position in church. He now finds it easy to make jest of spiritual things, the very things he once revered. Why? It is because the conscience has been seared over a long time of violating it.

Even if you have faith in God, don't be surprised that it may not work when your conscience is violated; when all that concerns you is what you can get; not minding how you get it. For every genuine child of God, the two of them are important, your faith and your conscience must go hand- in- hand.

Believers are admonished in the book of Hebrews to purge their conscience from dead works.

How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

Hebrews 9:14

From the above verse, we are to apply the blood of Jesus to our conscience to purge it from dead works. It is a pity that the conscience of some people is seared.

Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron

I Tim 4:2

Seared conscience is like an elderly man who has been taking a very hot tea for a long time so much that he is no longer affected by the hot tea. He drinks it without feeling how hot the tea is. It makes the younger ones wonder how someone can take tea as hot as that. His oesophagus must have been used to taking hot things. He has been drinking the hot tea for a long time until all the lining of his oesophagus became dead without feeling any sense of pain.

When someone violates his conscience for a long time, when he steps on people's toe or offends them without feeling remorse, after a long time, his conscience appears dead. Then, people around him will begin to wonder if he was a believer at all. They will wonder how he finds it easy to live such a sinful life without any sense of guilt.

Calamity may not be far from a person whom God cannot transmit signals to because the conscience that should have picked the signal is dead. God can no longer help such a man because he can't pick divine signals.

For this is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongly

I Peter 2:19

A man who has a living conscience will not violate it, even with what people call opportunity. As a young lady, you will not sleep with any man when you are not yet married just because he says he loves you. If you have good conscience, you will also it in mind that the God you claim to serve sees all things; you will never forget that He who rewards you neither sleep nor slumber.

At the age of 17, Joseph was kidnapped and sold by his brothers and his father did not see him again until he was 39 years. The father was deceived to believe that Joseph was dead. The righteous and holy Jacob who fought an angel to a standstill fell for the lies and deceit of his sons. He believed them for many years.

Twenty-two years after, he discovered that his children had lied to him all the while. That means the sons lived with a bad conscience all those 22 years, even though they claim to be people of God.

When you keep your conscience violated for years, it affects your health. When Joseph revealed himself to his brothers and ordered that his father should be informed he was still alive, I believe that if not for the tactic Joseph used to detain one of his brothers, they wouldn't have told their father at home because their conscience was not lost.

David, as the king of Israel, was a man whose conscience was alive; no wonder he had victories in all the battles he fought. Throughout the reign of King Saul, he was after David, though David never did him evil; rather, he helped King Saul and indeed, the whole land of Israel in many ways.

Apart from playing the guitar for King Saul whenever the spirit of insanity came upon him, he also helped him to fight the giant who harassed the whole camp of Israel for days. Despite all these, Saul earnestly sought to kill him. King Saul hunted David all his life out of envy and jealousy. The enmity became stronger when Saul learnt that David would be his replacement. But in the midst of all these, God did not only give David escape, He also gave Saul to the hand of David two times. But, did David take advantage of the so-called 'opportunity'?

And the men of David said unto him, Behold the day of which the Lord said unto thee, Behold, I will deliver thine enemy into thine hand, that thou may do to him as it shall seem good unto thee. Then David arose, and cut off the skirt of Saul's robe privily. And it came to pass afterward, that David's heart smote him, because he had cut off Saul's skirt. And he said unto his men, The Lord forbid that I should do this thing unto my master, the Lord's anointed, to stretch forth mine hand against him, seeing he is the anointed of the Lord.

I Samuel 24:4-6

In this passage, David had the opportunity to kill Saul. Even people around him said it was God who brought the opportunity. After David had secretly cut the edge of Saul's clothes, his conscience was not at peace. David never forgot the fact that Saul was still the anointed king over Israel at that time. While other soldiers saw it as a chance to eliminate his long-time enemy, David trembled because he had the fear of God.

From the natural point of view, David had several reasons to kill King Saul: David knew Saul wanted to kill him, he was not ignorant of the fact that Saul had lost the anointing, he also realized he would be the king after Saul; despite all these, David refused to lay his hands on the king to take revenge on him.

Behold, this day thine eyes have seen how that the Lord had delivered thee today into mine hand in the cave: and some bade me to kill thee: but mine eye spared thee; and said, I will not put forth mine hand against my lord; for he is the Lord's anointed.

I Samuel 24:10

When you have a right conscience, your enemy will know eventually that they cannot destroy you. Following this encounter Saul acknowledged that David would be the king of Israel after him.

...And Saul lifted up his voice, and wept. And he said to David, thou art more righteous than I: for thou has rewarded me good, whereas I have rewarded thee evil....and now behold, I know well that thou shall surely be king, and that the kingdom of Israel shall be established in thine hand.

I Samuel 24:16b-20

Is it not surprising that after promising that he will not pursue David again, Saul still went after David? That is why it is a dangerous thing to believe the ungodly; the ungodly says one thing this minute and does the other the next minute. Saul still attempted to kill David as recorded in 1st Samuel chapter 26.

David still had a second chance to kill Saul but he spared him again because he had a good conscience. In this account, it was obvious that it was God; God allowed the whole company of the army of Saul to fall asleep! This is how God tests you to know if you will take opportunity to do evil and violate your conscience. If you will continuously walk in the anointing, you must never destroy the anointed for whatever reason, no matter how justified you may be.

And David said to Abishai, destroy him not: for who can stretch forth his hand against the Lord anointed, and be blameless? David said furthermore, as the Lord lives, the Lord shall smite him; or his day shall come to die; or he shall descend into battle, and perish.

I Samuel 26:9-10

Just like David told his army, if you also live in good conscience before God and you are not vengeful, any of these three things may happen to your enemy: God may decide to smite him one day; man may kill him as the consequence of his evil deeds or his days may expire and he will eventually go into oblivion.

God will promote His cause in your life; so don't do things against your conscience. Building a house on the sand may be faster than building on the rock but on the long run, it is only the house built on the rock that will stand the test of time. It may look like you are slow, when you are building on the rock but you need not to worry, the end will vindicate you and justify your patience.

It may also be tedious to build on the rock because you may get blistered hand with blood flowing, but at the end of it all, you will look back and thank God. Those who live in sin and refuse to build on the foundation of God go into oblivion when they die. Where are the power grabbers of those times? Where are those who accumulated wealth and thought that they'll be here forever? They are all gone into oblivion.

Beloved, I am not giving you a fast method; no, it is not fast. In fact, people may call you derogatory names like idiot, silly, stupid when you are doing it right, following God. Why? Probably because you are in charge of money and you refuse to steal it. They assume you have missed your opportunity to succeed. No, that is not your time; your time is in the hands of God.

As for those who have lived a wrong life in the past, whatever evil you have done in your past can be corrected. You can start today to do well for your God and yourself. You cannot decide to make Jesus your saviour only and not your Lord. If He is your Lord, your conscience must be right before Him so that He can defend and protect you.

Soon, God will find you qualified for the anointing once your conscience is right. You will now have the following scriptures fulfilled in your life.

I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him: with whom my hand shall be established: mine arm also shall strengthen him. The enemy shall not exact upon him; nor the son of wickedness afflict him. And I will beat down his foes before his face, and plague them that hate him.

Psalm 89:20-23

God found David worthy of this type of blessings because, though he had the opportunity to kill his enemy, he will not violate his conscience. No wonder, 3000 years had gone, yet, David's name is still ringing bell. Indeed, God has established that name forever; Jesus, the Messiah even came from David's lineage.

Those who want easy virtue do not care whether it is right or wrong; as long as they get want they want. Consider for a moment the state of your conscience; is it good or bad? Are you into something your spirit is condemning you? Are you in any relationship that you know is not approved by God?

As a business man, do you promise people what you know you cannot deliver which makes people doubt your Christianity?

All the things that the Lord said He will do for David can also happen to you when you follow God and triumph in good conscience, so guard your conscience jealously. Desire to live a honest life towards God and towards man and your life will manifest positively.
