Laurice drown in her thoughts while driving for over half an hour already. She could not help but smile deeply at today's encounter. The feeling surges and it was pure bliss.

Hours ago at Sid's penthouse.

The doorbell rang twice before Laurice recovered her senses.

Damn! She was still actually and practically naked underneath the coverup dress. Facepalm, she shifted her gaze to the man clinging to her who strangely remained rooted to the ground, arms snaked around her slim waist. He was uncaringly sniffing the side of her slender neck, completely ignoring the doorbell. Laurice felt a nerve twitching.

"Get off me." She uttered coldly.

"Mmm." Sid did not move a limb and moaned instead dismissing her blatantly.

'This insufferable man. He will be the death of me! Really now?!' Laurice felt like pulling her hairstrands from excessive frustration. She need not guess who was knocking on the door. She could even hear a slight pounding of probably a bare fist followed by an almost slamming and banging sound. Oh dear! Any more delay and it will cause severe damage to her reputation. But she just couldn't pull away from the man's tight embrace.

"It's probably your son. Let go off me now." Laurice exclaimed.

'Or you'll get me in serious trouble!' She almost added. How will she be able to face the butler if he sees her at such state? He might believe something indeed has happened! Well, it's not like nothing happened, but still! It's humiliating on her part!

Laurice shook her head in horror. She was getting frantic.

"It seems i spoiled you too much." Stressing every single word, Laurice said with a sharp voice. The man stiffened in an instant.

Laurice smirked as she continued her banter.

"Get your hands off me now or i'll ..." She warned as she spoke.

Unwilling to hear the consequences, Sid reluctantly pulled away in one swift motion. He then looked at Laurice with a disheartened expression as if he was wronged. Somehow.

Laurice: " ...? "

Laurice retreated from speaking ill when she noticed the man's disgruntled expression. Her eyes narrowed.

'Unhappy?'

She felt a slight nudge in her chest upon realizing this but it's a foreign feeling that she could not give a name. Sid appeared as if he was not his usual self and it was quite ... adorable in her eyes.

No, no, no, adorable is not an attribute to define him as it doesn't quite suit a grown man like himself but ...

Laurice heaved a long sigh in realization.

'He's handsome however he looks anyway.'

She decidedly brushed off her initial thoughts and leaned over the man and gave him a peck on his cheeks.

"Don't look at me like that. Let's go change and meet your son. He must be hungry as well." Laurice said in a subtle voice, gradually softening up under Sid's gaze. He was exuding such a pitiful aura that is very unlikely and unexpected of him.

Sid furrowed his brows in response.

"My son?" He said simply in a deep low voice, stressing the first word.

Laurice could hear the bitterness in his voice. Her eyelids flutter as she pondered. Then she gulped afterwards as realization finally dawned on her. She felt her cheeks reddened in embarassment with her own thoughts. She was likely playing the part of Little Louie's mother but it was not her intention to claim whatever nonexistent rights that she firmly believed does not belong to her.

Pursing her lips, Laurice replied hesitatingly, "We couldn't keep our Little Louie waiting."

She spoke in a low voice this time, summoning up the courage to face the man. She did not want to sound impertinent and shameless by claiming his son as if her own. She was in fact feeling a bit restless, unsure and insecure somehow but the moment she realizes how Sid was now looking at her with contentment in his eyes as he nodded his head in acknowledgment towards her reply, Laurice felt strangely relieved and happy.

"Mmm." Sid did not utter a word and just muttered an interjection. He looked pleased, his eyes shone with glee while Laurice felt like smiling herself.

Suddenly, a harmonious air filled their surroundings as they threaded towards the bedroom swiftly, both hand in hand.

Outside the penthouse at the same time.

Butler Han, together with another assistant were feeling extremely troubled. They've been waiting for awhile now outside the penthouse but no one is still opening up for them. They dare not think of the probable reason why such was the case. However, they both worry that the little young master had a lot of pent up emotions to release at the moment.

Little Louie had just woken up from his slumber a couple of moments ago and he was already looking for young miss Laurice. The child was even at the verge of tears as he now slammed his small but capable hands across the door, screaming only a word.

"Mommy!" Little Louie screamed at the top of his lungs.

The soundproofing around the place is almost perfect. Butler Han thought it was no use but with the young master's behavior, he could actually wake the people inside even without creating a sound. His only fear was that Little Louie might actually hurt himself if he won't stop banging at the door.

"Little Young Master, please. You might hurt yourself." Butler Han anxiously pleaded. In reality, he was just as frantic. He was no child expert. But there was nothing he can't handle, he believed so. However, this case is special since the little young master was never this unruly. He was just plain clueless and weirded out by the turn out of events in just a couple of days.

"Mommy!" Little Louie shouted in succession disregarding his old grandpa butler.

Watching this scene unfold was not only heart-wrenching but also exhausting at a certain degree. Everyone was getting restless as they waited and waited some more.

When the door finally opened, the child ran off hurriedly towards the arms of the person he treasure the most as he sobbed his heart away.
