One by one they queried Mari for her behaviour.

"Your lust for Sasuke, for heaven's sake Mari, she feels happy being around him. I haven't seen Sakiko as happy as she is around him before. This means you do not want her happiness."

"You are just jealous of her Mari-chan."

"Yeah, yeah whatever. Leave me be. I'm just saying".

"As Sakiko would say, what nonsense"

"As Sasuke would say, gosh, yack stop it."

"What is your business Hachi?" Mari asked the girl by her far left with scorn.

"Out of her hair Mari, you couldn't face Regina and Ayumi, but want to face Yo because you feel you can shut her up?"

"And what's it to you Inoue?"

She scoffed at the brown haired boy who stood up for Hachi.

"Hmm wannabes".

"Everyone quiet it down. Sakiko is not pregnant. So stop it." The class representative finally spoke, apparently tired of the squabbles.

"She is" Mari added not concerned about the numerous glares she was receiving now.

"You think he would leave her for you Mari?" One of the girls asked.

"You are joking dear" another girl chipped in.

"Keep on dreaming, dreamer. Ignore her Bashira, Chiaki."

With that the crowd slowly dispersed as everyone went back to their class or seats.

Later their Homeroom teacher came to give them the news.

"How relieved I am to see that your classmates are okay. She is not pregnant and pure."

"I bet she bribed the doctor, that lying bitch" Mari said with malice laced on her eyes.

Shocked, Mrs Hasegawa's mouth hung agape as she stared at the teenager in front of her. Just as she was about to reply, a student beat her to it.

"Just shut up, stupid friend. I do not see why Sakiko still have you for a friend."

"I wonder why we are namesakes. You are a venomous snake" another girl named Mari spat out in disgust.

"Ignore her everyone, bad friend... "

"Bad girl" the class responded in unison when Shimizu spoke.

"Well that settles that and to b sure you've learnt your lesson Mari, detention" Mrs Hasegawa passed her judgment on the girl and left the class.

Regina gets up and walks over to Mari.

"Hey Mari, you and Hiyori better get set and pay for my lunch for two good days."

"Whatever, she cheated."

"Till when would you be like this. Anyways, get set. I told you, I do not bet what I would lose. So meet me up tomorrow during lunch break."

"Hmm".

"Serves her right".

In Class 1B, Miss Kaneki entered the classroom.

"Miss Kaneki, do you know how Sakiko is faring?" One of the male student asked.

"Oh she is fine, and the doctor said she isn't pregnant. I wonder how that happened, I could bet she was" she said the latter part to herself rather than the class.

"Yayyyy, I'm glad for her".

"So I lost the bet huh" Hiyori whispered to herself.

"What is wrong Hiyori-chan? Why are you gloomy?"

"I lost a bet Emika. I bet Regina would be happy now. That damn Mari, I should never had believed her".

"You brought it on yourself Hiyori. I trusted her. Besides even if she does, it's nobody's business. You guys should leave her alone and focus on your own life".

"Yeah, whatever. Well now I owe Reina lunch"

"Pains me I didn't bet with you. Free lunch."

"Shut up Emika".

Woken from her thoughts by their noise, Miss Kaneki tried to calm the students down and taught.
