After breakfast, Ji Wujin went back to the place where she was reborn--Hua Wujiao's boudoir.

She felt kind of guilty. In fact, she always shared food even back when she had still been a beggar. She did such a wrong thing because she was too hungry.

Gritting her teeth, Ji Wujin took out two coins she newly found, went downstairs and headed to the backyard.

"What's wrong ,Xiaocui? Why are you crying in here?"

As Ji Wujin got close to the yard, someone said.

She slowed down and saw a girl in pink standing next to Xiaocui.

"Boohoo…I didn't have breakfast today again. Mama Jiao ate mine…mine. I, I haven't eaten anything for two days..."

The girl in pink got mad at Hua Wujiao and spoke for Xiaocui, "that old woman again?! She is way across the line! You serve her so well every day but she still treats you so badly. And she doesn't even care about people here. All she cares about is herself. She is terrible!"

Ji Wujin rubbed her own cheek and was confused. Old woman? Is Hua Wujiao that old?

Xiaocui was still crying with tears in silence. The girl in pink felt sorry for her and sighed, "Anyway, what can we do? The money is in her hands. You can't do anything she wants to do."

The girl suddenly got angrier as if she remembered something,

"But my lady hasn't eaten for two days too. She might be starving to death because of that old woman!"

Xiaocui even cried harder on hearing someone with the same experience like her.

Ji Wujin gave a dry cough and then walked out because she was too embarrassed to show herself if she let them keep talking.

Xiaocui was still intimidated by her. But the girl in pink intrigued Ji Wujin's curiosity.

Rosy lips, white teeth, she was fairly beautiful? How is it possible such a hot-tempered woman even has a hostess?

Ji Wujin slipped a few coins into Xiaocui's hand while her mind was fast spinning, "Xiaocui, I was too hungry to eat your steamed bun this morning. Sorry for your loss. Take the coins and buy some steamed buns for yourself."

The girl in pink was apparently not happy because she pulled a long face all of sudden. "Mama Jiao, you only care about your own maid. My Lady Panpan hasn't had breakfast either. You know, she hasn't had a bite for two whole days…."

She even was holding a wailing tone while saying those words.

Ji Wujin waved her hand in the air, "fine, fine. Xiaocui, buy two more."

Xiaocui who stopped crying just now was about to cry again.

"Mama Jiao, it's not even enough to buy two."

Ji Wujin gave a look at the two coins that Xiaocui was holding tightly like they were her flesh, "do not buy steamed breads. Buy some flour and tell the cook to make more. But you should hand in there a bit longer…"

Before Ji Wujin finished the sentence, Xiaocui's eyes turned red again and she ran away, covering her crying face.

"Have you had breakfast today?"
