After regulating her breaths and now full of energy, she cast her memory back to the cultivation methods in the amethyst sea bracelet. If she wanted to stay alive on the outskirts of the dream forest then she must learn survival technique and Lingbo step is the most suitable.
Lingbo step is a unique martial arts technique from the Xiaoyao faction. It is based on the foundations of the Book of Changes* which allows the user to travel in a specific order where the first and last step ends in a large circle. The steps are exceptionally unusual and the learner can use it to dodge multiple enemy attacks. A master Lingbo stepper can fly through the air therefore not even a normal high-quality technique can compare to this technique.

A qinggong* practitioner has the advanced jump capability which draws support from the rebound energy in order to warp upwards. This skilful technique also alleviates the sound from a landing making it a perfect escape technique. The best practitioners are able to cooperate with the air in order to run faster, jump higher and further. Known as the so-called, “Traceless”, “Land Soarer” and “Grass Flyer”.
*TL-note: Qinggong is the ability to lighten the body and move with great agility and swiftness. At high proficiency, practitioners of this skill can run across water, leap to the top of trees, or even glide through the air.
The marvel of the Lingbo step allows you to magically fly through the air and the distance is determined by the cultivation level of the practitioners themselves. At an advanced level, they can fly above rivers, valleys and even further distances while remaining motionless. It became commonly known as the “Lingbo step” because they can also casually walk on air as if on flat ground in a confident manner.
The mechanism of the Lingbo step requires the practitioner to be highly skilled both internally and externally since they need to to be able to understand the local natural spiritual influences at all times. Thus the body is able to float through the air when these two mutual forces collide with each other. The air is passed through the back like swimming and the body flies forward naturally!
To start, Zi Luo slowly moved the neidan* in her dantian to circle around her microcosmic orbit* twenty-four times. Then the neidan circled around the greater microcosmic orbit a further thirty-six times and followed the veins to the top of her head. She contracted her abdomen to stop breathing and raised both her arms to her shoulder with her palm facing upwards. Gradually with an exhalation, she pushed down her palms per four hearts (namely two hearts of the palm and two hearts of the sole). A strong external force was expelled onto the ground and her body soared into the air by the attraction fo the same spiritual influences from the ground surface. The direction and speed of the flight were determined by the mind.

After a busy day, the sky outside was already full of stars and the moonlight lit up the flowers in the forest like twinkling snow beads. The hot water in the tub had already turned into inky black cold water making it seem even colder in this season.
She climbed into the small warm bed and could smell the sun faintly on the quilt just like as if her mother was beside her. Tomorrow morning, she will still hear her mother's tender loving voice like before. “Mom, Dad……” she whispered and drifted into slumber.
Zi Luo slowly opened her eyes when the first ray of sun shone on the ground. She will never hear her mother's warm voice again or hear her mother shout “Lazy little piggy, time to get up and eat breakfast.”
She shook her head then fixed herself and walked outside the house. She felt the overflowing majestic spiritual influences from the forest and it made sense why Ye Qingtian and his wife would pick such an isolated location. There were no magical beasts and nobody would be able to find here. Ye Qingtian as a Master of Formations, he had placed defences and invisibility spells around the house which makes it even harder for magical beasts and men to detect (including normal humans, below Master Sorcerers and below the five worldly magical beasts).
If she could feel such a strong spiritual influence from just outside the house then how much stronger would it be if she ventured deeper? She pondered at this then used the Lingbo step and with a big stride, she leapt within the Dream Forest. Immersed in abundant spiritual influences, Zi Luo laid down some defences and immediately started to absorb the spiritual influences.
Zi Luo rapidly absorbed the strands of spiritual influences and simultaneously also taking in many colourful dots. When the spiritual influences arrived at her dantian, they circled into a ring and the colourful dots also joined together to rapidly make rings. A total of seven different coloured rings in light red, light blue, light green, silver, light yellow, black and white.
Three hours later, Zi Luo awoke from her meditative state. Compared to the pain caused by the holy lotus, this pain paled in comparison and was not worth even mentioning. The mass absorption of spiritual influences allowed Zi Luo to successfully establish the foundation* and the remainder of the poison left behind was thoroughly cleansed. Finally, the poison that she had for six years since when she was a fetus was removed at this moment.
*TL-note: Foundation Establishment also translated as Foundation Building. The stage after Qi Condensation. Once a cultivator's Qi crosses a certain threshold (in the volume and/or density of the Qi), they'll be able to break through to this stage.
She faced to the sky and roared, “Dad, Mom, the poison is gone so you don't have to worry about me anymore. Ah, I will definitely revenge you……” Zi Luo's face was full of excitement.
She examined inside her body and found that the seven coloured rings were circling her heart. Was this the heart of elements? She could not believe that after entering the meditative state, she had both succeeded in the foundation establishment but also became a seventh-tier star Master Sorcerer. This world was about to get crazy if someone like her without any worth before could turn into a seventh-tier star Master Sorcerer in just one day. Additionally, her combat skills also risen sharply and using the evaluation of this world, she would be ranked as an Intermediate Swordmaster. However, even if she was the God of War it would do her no good.
After removing the defences, several rank seven or eight magical beasts were attracted by her roar and had now surrounded her. Good, this was the perfect opportunity for Zi Luo to demonstrate herself. As a star Master Sorcerer and an Intermediate Swordmaster, she would start with these magical beasts.
Zi Luo wanted to try the magical powers first. As the carrier of the heart of elements, she remembered from the Dragon and Phoneix book that she could silently send these out without the need to recite any incantations.
Ever since she was ambushed by the gods of the six realms, Zi Luo now adhered to a strike first mindset. In an instant, her sixth-tier magic skill struck the nearest rank six wind-type magical rabbit. These rabbits were experts at spitting out wind blades therefore even a General Sorcerer would struggle to withstand fifty or sixty magical rabbits when they began to spit out wind blades. However, this was the seventh-tier Master Sorcerer Zi Luo and she would not lose easily.
Firstly she used earth-type magic and thunder-type magic to prevent the rabbits from advancing then fired magic fire-type fireballs to create explosions. After a wave of magical spells, the rabbits all perished under the fireballs leaving a single rank six wind-type crystal. After killing the magic rabbits, she found that her magic power level seems to have increased again.
Now was no time to care about levels because after the magical rabbits were rank seven earth-type fox-wolf hybrids. These hybrids are the descendants of the magical fox and magical wolf. They both have the deceitfulness of the magical fox and the ruthlessness of the magical wolf combined. The fox-wolf hybrids are fairly hard to deal with since they are sociable animals, therefore, this was a troublesome encounter.
No matter how deceitful or ruthless they are, for Zi Luo, it was just another obstacle on the road and a tragedy for them. Zi Luo instantly sent out a dark spirit combined with thunder-type electric shocks which made the fox-wolf hybrids unable to budge from the electric shocks or advance any further from the muddling dark spirit.
Now was her chance, Zi Luo slowly closed in on the fox-wolf hybrids and brought out a shiny dagger from the ring. She lifted the dagger and one by one their heads fell to the ground. The dropping sounds “thump, thump, thump” alerted the advancing fox-wolf hybrids and they whimpered, “ahooooooooooo.” In a flash, the fox-wolf hybrids turned around and ran away. As expected from their cunning side, to run away when they were not a match for something.
Zi Luo looked at the fox-wolf hybrids in the far distance and did not plan to pursue them. She looked at the scattered rank six and seven magical crystals on the ground and went over to pick them up to put them into the ring. Although there was already a good deal of amethyst coins in the ring, it made no sense to give up her own spoils of war. After not eaten in two days and missing the taste of food, she conveniently gathered a few fox-wolf hybrids for tonight's dinner.
