It was the middle of the working day, and there were few people around, with the exception of some couples walking in the park and not noticing the people around.

The girl sat on a bench and looked at the sky, clouds were thoughtfully floating into uncharted distances, driven by the wind. Their path depended on air currents, just like the girl's life depended on what was destined for her before her birth.

"Does your brother not want to play with you?"

The boy shook his head, "No. I don't want to play with him. Every time we walk around, girls gather around him it bothers me."

"Don't you like girls?" The boy made a serious thinking face when he heard Amelia's question, and the girl barely restrained herself so as not to pinch his cheek. She was usually calm about children, but this one was special.

"No, that's not the thing. It's just... I just already have a friend, and I don't want to be friends with other girls."

"And where is your friend?"

The boy lowered his eyes and scraped a sticky leaf from the ball, "She's lost." He said this with such sadness and hopelessness that Amelia felt something sank in her chest. She caught herself thinking she was beginning to regret about her decision.

No one else in the Teser family was left without a partner, and now she, the strongest medium in the history of the family, decided to leave this child without the one who was destined for him. Amelia closed her eyes and took a deep breath, "Don't worry. You will definitely find her," she did not want to destroy the cherished desire of the child. She got up from the bench and went on, feeling the gaze of the boy on her back.

"David!! Why takes you so long?! Let's go and play!" the elder brother ran to the child, "Do you want a candy? I picked up the most delicious one from girls, especially for you!" A happy smile shone on his face as if he were a superhero, "They said that I was the coolest older brother! Do you think so too?" The cool older brother bent to grab his younger brother in an armful, but instead of a joyful hug, a wet ball with sticky leaves on it buried in his face.

"You are noisy," little David muttered displeasedly, but still took his candy from his brother so as not to spoil Daniel's image in the eyes of a bunch of girls giggling nearby.

Polina looked suspiciously at Amelia, who was walking beside her and smiling, "I feel scared when I see such an expression on your face. What did you do while I was gone?"

"Nothing much, just chatted with one interesting child a little," Amelia mysteriously winked and licked the ice cream, "Wasn't there a raspberry one?"

"I had to go to the neighboring block to basically find the ice cream. Only a crazy would want to eat something like this in such a cold weather, so don't complain."

"Well, take it easy," the girl nudged Polina with her elbow, "In compensation for your efforts, I have a present for you," they stopped under the crown of a large tree, and Amelia pointed her hand towards one of the benches.

Polina at first did not understand what exactly the girl had in mind, but after spending together for more than ten years, she knew that when Amelia smiled like that, another crazy idea popped into her head.

"Don't tell me that your present is that bum," Polina wrinkled her nose, a man sleeping on a bench in dirty clothes, without shoes, but at least in whole socks, was covered with a newspaper spread.

"Yeah, that's absolutely right. Watch carefully, but do not come. This is an order," Amelia said in a serious voice, and Polina had no choice but to nod in submission.

She watched with attention as the young Miss Teser approached the man, smirked, and... kicked him in the side. Polina's jaw dropped to the ground. This girl again was looking for trouble!

The man growled something in a displeased voice, but Amelia was only amused by that. She winked at Polina, ignoring the stern look of her guardian, raised her leg and kicked the innocent homeless man again.

Polina slapped her face to hide the shame that gripped her. She clearly missed something in raising this child.

But when Amelia tore the newspaper from the man, and he rose from the bench, Polina's heart skipped a beat. The girl hid behind a tree trunk, the knock in her chest was so strong that it sounded like an alarm in her head. She turned on the camouflage mode on her bracelet to become invisible.

"Armand," her lips silently said the name of the man the meeting with whom she had been waiting for so many years.

The girl, holding her breath, watched the dialogue between Amelia and Armand. She did not know what this impulsive girl was up to, but whatever it was, Amelia was more visible.

The couple shook hands, and Polina sadly watched the retreating figure of the man, not even noticing that Amelia had returned to her.

"Oh, someone forgot how to breathe? Houston, hello!" Amelia snapped her fingers in front of Polina's face, turning the girl's attention to herself. "Well, how do you like my present?"

"What is he doing in London?! Shouldn't he be in Japan?!" whispered Polina, though it was more like a stifled cry of surprise.

"Judging by my visions, he returned to Europe six months ago. By the way, your boyfriend is handsome!"

"Don't say that you didn't know what he looked like. He and Marcus are like two drops of water. Although wait, Marcus is a couple of centimeters taller for some reason."

The girls looked at each other and looked in different directions in embarrassment.

"I vaguely remembered what Marcus looked like. Therefore, I was surprised to see your Armand," Amelia breathed out. She had not seen Marcus for eight years and would prefer not to see him further, since during this time she had changed not only externally, turning into a pretty lady, but also internally.

Amelia took a notebook and pen from her coat pocket, wrote a few words, pulled out a sheet and handed it to Polina, "I need you to buy a house at this address, the price does not matter."

"Not us, but you. This is a closed residence, so there are a lot of people who wish to get a spot there, so do not be shy and spend as much as you need. Polina looked at the girl with uncertainty; she definitely did not like the plan.

"This is an order, Polina. I want you to follow Armand. Make sure that he left this place, he and Marcus should not meet now. It's too early for that."

"I promise, otherwise why would I start all this?" Amelia smiled. Polina stood still for a second, hugged the girl and followed Armand, dissolving into the crowd invisibly.

Amelia walked to a nearby narrow path leading along a small lake. Sun flares played on the surface of the water with bright flashes. The girl leaned on the railing and looked at the water surface.

She had been waiting for this day for the past eight years. The day when her future was to make a sharp turn, but in which direction, she did not know. More precisely, she tried to convince herself something that she did not know, clutching at the slightest opportunity to change the course of things.

Amelia mentally counted the seconds until after the last she heard a slight rustling of leaves behind her.

The girl closed her eyes.

He came, as her vision predicted, second per second. And she knew that he came for her.
