While talking, Murong Shan Shan dragged me to sit beside her, leaving Xu Xing unaccompanied.

The dishes started to be served and soon everything besides the roast lamb had been set on our table. Xu Xing regained some complexion on his face. Looking at his fully-branded clothing, it was quite obvious he came from a wealthy family. However, I still reckoned it would be hard for him to lose 10,000 Yuan so fast. With every dish that was served, I could also see his face twitching.

Poor kid. It seemed he was in love with Murong Shan Shan, this prodigal girl.

“Shan Shan, is he after you?” I whispered.

Murong Shan Shan pretended as if she didn’t hear me and instead, she grabbed hold of my pocket and exclaimed in a loud voice, “Ah, Lin Fan! Who is this letter for?”

I was stunned for a moment, what was she trying to do?!

While speaking with an exaggerated tone, Murong Shan Shan took out the envelope which she stuffed into my pocket before and placed it on the table. Xu Xing who was sitting on the opposite, looked over to us with his eyes wide open, showing an interested expression on his face.

“Woah, It’s a love letter! Whom did you write this for? Lin Fan, your writing isn’t bad at all.”

Most probably, she had written this letter by her own, and she still bragged about it without shame.

“Ah!”

Murong Shan Shan’s complexion changed the moment she took out the letter. She glanced at me with a shy look.

I decided to cross my arms and see what trick this girl is playing. She opened the letter and began to read.

“To Shan Shan, girl of my dream: ever since I first saw you, I have already fallen for you, truly!”

I tried hard not to laugh, but Xu Xing who sat across, was however filled with indignation. Shan Shan continued reading as if nothing had happened.

“Today, I have finally mustered my courage to write you this letter, in hopes you will understand my feelings. I still remember the day we met, it was a fiery hot weather and all of a sudden I was captivated by your beautiful figure. The only way to describe your impression in my heart, it’s probably like a hairless swan!”

“Pfff!” I spew out a mouthful of tea. This stupid girl, she could not even transcribe a love letter properly…

Murong Shan Shan’s beautiful eyes glared at me innocently and then continued reading the love letter, “Shan Shan, reading this letter, aren’t you excited and think I’m a talented thief stealing your heart? Since the first day I saw you, I’ve been madly in love with you. For you, I have given up on alcohol and even stopped smoking, for I heard these will affect certain ‘functions’. I am not even peeking on the girl’s dorm across my place anymore, although it must have something to do with them closing the curtains. But still, the main reason is you, because I heard you are not living in that building. So you see, my love for you is so deep.”

“Stop it, stop it!” I finally could not hold it anymore, and said bitterly, “Did I really write this letter? Why is it so creepy?”

Murong Shan Shan annoyingly said, “If it wasn’t you, then who else?”

Seeing the goddess of his heart acting bashfully, Xu Xing appeared to be grief-stricken. He looked at Murong Shan Shan and said, “Shan Shan, do you accept his confession?”

“Well, of course. You can see how sincere he expressed his feelings!”

Just like any other boy who had been dumped, Xu Xing put on a dejected and hurt expression, picked up a bottle of liquor and drank by himself.

Murong Shan Shan flashed me a look then started gobbling the food on the table. Not even a hint of her prior reservation could be seen.

I was here was for the meal anyway, so together with Murong Shan Shan, we clean swept all the food on the table.

Xu Xing was in a foul mood and treated my several attempts to strike a conversation with a cold attitude. I didn’t want to be effeminate toward him, so I simply ignored him and quickly filled my stomach.

“Xu Xing, I’m done eating. I’ll head back first, take your time and remember to settle the bill.”

Murong Shan Shan wiped her mouth and pulled me out of the door without any conscience.

Walking on the street beneath the sunny weather, I can’t help but questioned blamingly, “Shan Shan, I don’t know what you’re doing, but isn’t it a little unfair to Xu Xing who treated us for such a meal?”

Murong Shan Shan frowned slightly, “Why? Are you sympathizing him?”

“Not really, but don’t you feel we went a little overboard?”

“Hmph, you have no idea how hateful he was in the past. He actually dared to use his father’s relationship with my dad to threaten me!” Said Murong Shan Shan angrily.

“He… he dared to threaten you?” I just could not fathom how could Xu Xing with his nerdy looks had the guts to threaten a troublemaker like Murong Shan Shan?

“You won’t believe it anyway. His father is actually my dad’s superior. He always thinks that just a single word from his father will push my dad into the corner. Hmph, he actually thinks his dad is as childish as him!”

I shook my head. I would not want to meddle in these problems. The current me only wished to obtain more items to sell!

“Shan Shan, where are we going? You’re not planning to train this afternoon?”

Murong Shan Shan said with a smile, “The school had a total blackout, and the circuit will not be fixed until six o’clock. That’s why…”

“That’s why you’re looking for someone to accompany you for a meal and go shopping?”

“Bingo!” Murong Shan Shan proudly snapped her finger.

“That, Shan Shan, I think you misunderstood…” I held my steps and spoke seriously, “I’m a professional gamer, time is money. Without remuneration, I won’t spend my time on meaningless activities.”

Murong Shan Shan gritted her teeth and said in a huff-puff manner, “You bastard, you just can’t live without money, huh? Is it that difficult to accompany me for an afternoon?”

I startled for a little then turned and said, “How about this, you treat me to an ice-cream cone as the payment and I’ll keep you accompany, fair enough?”

Murong Shan Shan immediately replied smilingly, “No problem, let’s go~!”

I rarely went shopping with girls. When I was together with Xiao Yu, it was mostly due to the lack of time caused by my addiction in WAR3. As for this past half year, there wasn’t any girl who made me want to be with them. Murong Shan Shan could be considered as an exception. From the first time meeting her, I felt similarities between her and Xiao Yu – that same mellow feeling and equally beautiful too. She was more of a troublemaker than Xiao Yu, that was the only difference. Like, she even pointed at a couple who openly showed their affection in public and started condemning them.

Murong Shan Shan was really beautiful, maybe even prettier than Xiao Yu. Being with her, she was the one attracting attention.

In a street full of young couples, we both were soon immersed in our respective roles. We drooled together looking at the roasting ducks in the oven, we glared at the asses of the women wearing miniskirts and fantasizing about it. We even went into KFC for an ice-cream cone, seated facing each other — just to listen to the song ‘Cowboys Are Busy’…
