She laid down a bag full of moderate-sized stones by our foot. Right, I might as well upgrade my【Throwing C】.

Upgrading didn't require much LP so I edited the skill and changed the letter to a B.

「They may be rotten, but they're still my precious students so I thought I shouldn't use weapons. Instead, we'll use this.」

「A rope?」

We can't deal with them all if they spread out. We could win if they just go straight ahead, however.

A group of people wearing strange masks and black clothes was walking towards us in a leisurely pace. It caught me by surprise. I was expecting them to charge furiously.

He thought he could just change the quality of his voice but I knew it was Allen-kun. Besides, I had my【Appraisal】skill.

「No can do. Sensei and I have joined forces to stop you.」

The stone I threw had more speed and power. It looked like the upgrade was working pretty well. Plus my aim was more accurate which was great.

I shot one at his knee. That's one down. According to my【Appraisal】, he didn't have any long-range skills so I could ignore him for now.

Elnsensei on the other hand was nothing short of impressive. Two have already fallen victim to the stones. It seemed they weren't expecting this as they were flustered.

「Those two are bad news! They're heartless!」

「Calm down and split up to both sides. That rope is just there to trick you. Have faith in my Trap Detection.」

They all trusted Yolt-kun's skill and jumped over the ropes without hesitation, passing us and heading to where the girls were.

「No, you don't!」

「You all should redirect that horny energy to something more useful!」

We hurled more stones in succession. Most of the guys were hit, stopping them on their tracks. But one made it through unscathed. Yolt weaved through the trees, using them as shields. Throwing was pretty useless now.

He made it past us completely. He only had to run straight to get to the garden of women.

「Kuu, we have no other choice. Let's go after hi―」

Elnsensei's eyes widened and we jumped back simultaneously. The tip of a rapier sliced through the space between us.

「Sensei, Noir. I can't have you two forget about me.」

Damn you, Allen-kun. I'm guessing he was watching us carefully, looking for an opening. He'd stall us and in the meantime Yolt-kun would get farther and farther away. This is bad. At this rate…

「Sensei, you go after him. I'll deal with Allen-kun.」

「Be careful. His skill with the rapier is nothing to sneeze at.」

Allen-kun attacked as soon as Elnsensei turned her back, but I drew my sword to strike back.

「She got away, huh… That's better for us, actually.」

「And why is that?」

「Because we can then take you on one by one!」

He attacked with fierce thrusts of his rapier, and I calmly blocked with my blade. I was getting pushed back so I retreated farther behind.

「You can't win a swordfight against me. Now, what's your next move, fourth son of the Stalgia family?」

「I'm the third son.」

「Same difference. Only the first and second sons matter. The rest are just bonus!」

Now that was mean. He wasn't exactly wrong which is why it bothered me. Maybe that was his goal.

I steeled my mind, grasping a throwing stone on my left hand. I picked a bigger one this time, however. For good reason.

「Come on, you've gotta be kidding me. Are you planning to throw that stone at me to create an opening and then strike me down? Do you really think such petty tactics that a third son comes up with will work on me, Allen, a first-born son?」

What's the point of wearing a mask if you're gonna give your name anyway? Still, he had a point. Throwing a stone won't be enough to distract him. But I'm going to throw it anyway.

I threw it in an arch. I had a reason for doing so. The stone will stay in the air for a longer time and I'm gonna【Grant】it with【Adhesion】in that duration.

「Ahahaha. I'll just deflect it with my rapier while keeping my eyes on… on you?」

He tried to deflect the stone lightly but it stuck to his rapier instead. It was just a stone so it shouldn't have much adhesive force. Still, it was more than enough for me.

There wasn't a rule that said I couldn't kick you in the nuts.

I could feel his pain. But I had to be merciless this time. I somehow managed to defeat Allen-kun. Next is Yolt-kun, but I don't think Sensei will lose against…

Someone was flying straight at me and I caught them. I reacted quickly so I managed to stay on my feet. I regarded the person I saved and I was shocked.

「Why is Sensei…」

What kind of trick did Yolt pull to have the upper hand against the veteran Elnsensei?
