1 . One Year Ago

We met one year ago .

“As always, this is the spot . ”

I was standing on a hill overlooking the city .

The lights of the city dazzle like the stars in the sky .

I’m sure there are other places, but this really is the best .

Looking up at the sky, I could see stars covering the entirety of the sky .

Moonlight peeked through the trees .

“After all, it really is here…”

A man’s voice came from behind .

“Eh… Who?”

I tried asking while frightened .

To think that there would be someone else in this place…

“Oh, sorry to surprise you… I happen to like this place and I often come here . ”

While apologizing, a male came out from behind the trees .

I was wearing jeans and a hooded dark blue parka .

“Ah… and you are?

I tried to listen quite carefully .

“Me?” I’m Tachibana Seiya . Written with the characters “Night” and “Star . ””

‘Hmm… That sounds like a really nice name…’ I thought to myself .

I like astronomy, and hearing his name made me crack a tiny smile .

Ah, that’s right… I gotta introduce myself .

“I’m Mizuki Andou . It’s written with the characters “Beautiful Moon,” and it’s pronounced Mizuki . ”

I really like my name, but I’m nowhere near as beautiful as the name sounds .

I’m childish… Not adult-like at all .

“It’s a good name… Mizuki-chan? Nice to meet ya . ”
