The way the Demon gazed at her made Lu Jiuque shudder with fear.
It wasn’t long until the Demon started smiling, “No wonder you are still alive. You have two souls in that body.”
Two souls?
Whoa… He knows how she transformed?
Demon loosened his grasp on her throat right when she’s about to say something.
Air finally rushed back into her lung, making her feel alive again.
Amused by her actions the Demon started talking again:”Well then. It looks like you deserve to live, my servant.”
What?
What does he mean by “servant”?
“Now you have two options. Either you die, feeding me, or you sacrifice yourself to me, and become my servant. Well of course if you choose the latter then I might as well help bring up your karma a bit, since, you know, your karma always brings you troubles.”
“…”
Lu Jiuque feels tempted.
She’s the type of person with the karma that indirectly caused the death of pretty much everyone close to her. Is it really possible to change all this?
The Demon could tell she really wants this.
“I never lie. Have you ever wondered why you are named jiuque?”
“Why?”
Of course she wants to know why. Jiuque literally means lack of nine elements. Even the fortune teller got burned to death by lightning before he could figure out why her name is jiuque.
“Lack of nine elements: gold, wood, fire, water, earth, wealth, fortune, sex, and life. And since you lack life you should’ve been dead by now. The only reason you’re standing here right now is because you have two souls. But even though you technically don’t lack life anymore you still lack eight more elements.”
“……”
“You have inherited the memories of whoever owned this body before, right? So you must know she used to be a piece of useless and hopeless crap who achieved nothing in her life. ”
“……”
“Now that you are in this body, that means you will also be that same useless piece of garbage with no wealth, no luck, and look ugly. Because that’s what she was. So basically you will suffer just like she did, unless you have someone help you.

She wished she could just go ahead and slaughter this stupid kid.
Because he is soooo annoying!!
Damn it. He’s too powerful for her to beat up.
She’s gonna have to put up with him then.
“What do you think? Is that a yes?” That innocent smile showed up on the demon’s face again.

The demon leaned his face toward hers and she could smell the mildewy and sickly passage of his breath. He started whispering incantation.
Unfortunately she didn’t understand any of it.
When Lu Jiuque finally caught up, what she was hearing made her heart twinge.
“Thy shall please thy Lord, and sacrifice thy blood and soul.”
