Yun Muxi tried her ultimate best to remain calm. She asked, "Who are you?"

There was a tint of longing in the man's gaze, which sent shivers down Yun Muxi's spine.

At this moment, Gong Yu opened the door. Seeing a man sitting on Yun Muxi's bed and her frightened expression, Gong Yu tensed up immediately. He asked sternly, "Who are you?"

The man turned and glanced at him. He could not help but chuckle. His laughter sounded very sinister. It was the sound that a grim reaper would make before taking one's life away. It made people shiver in fear.

The man chuckled a bit and said naturally, "Seems like you two do have some chemistry!" Then, he turned towards Yun Muxi and asked, "Is he your lover?"

Gong Yu warned, "You! Do not touch her!"

Hence, they decided to adopt the child and raise her up like their own. I am the child."

Murong Ye ignored Gong Yu and treated him like he was non-existent. He looked at Yun Muxi and continued, "Back then, mom was being chased by enemies when she suddenly had to give birth. She was brought to the hospital immediately and gave birth to you. However, she was worried that you would get into trouble too, so she left you in the hospital. Yun Muxi took a deeper look at the picture and handed it back to him. There was no change in her facial expression. She said calmly, "You don't have to tell me all these. I don't intend to go back to the Murong family. They have nothing to do with me."

Murong Ye could not believe his ears. "What? You don't want to go back?"
