"I'm not going to put a green hat on you..." Feng Xiao Qing trailed off. It seemed like she should tell him a little bit of the truth? "I actually have a really important matter to talk about with him..."

"What matter?" Lu Yi Feng asked curiously. He was curious whether she would tell him the truth or not. The women that he knew before her always spouting nonsense or lie in order to gain his trust --- he just hoped that Feng Xiao Qing wasn't that kind of woman.

"I... I met with an old friend about the arson..." Feng Xiao Qing said in a soft voice. She decided to tell him the truth --- but of course, it wouldn't be about her gangster life.

"Arson? Is it about your house?" Lu Yi Feng asked.

Feng Xiao Qing nodded hesitantly. "Yes..."

"Is there something wrong about the arson?" Lu Yi Feng asked. He didn't think that it was a serious case of arson, so he didn't really pay attention to it. It seemed like there was more to it.

"I... I'm afraid that someone is deliberately targetting me and I ask for my friend's help to check on it," Feng Xiao Qing admitted. She skipped the part where she threatened her so-called old friend to investigate this matter.

Lu Yi Feng furrowed his eyebrows. "Why didn't you ask for my help?"

Feng Xiao Qing was dumbfounded by his question. 'Eh? She can ask for his help?' She thought in surprise. However, she shook her head. She didn't want to depend on a man --- especially with a man that she had just known. She still felt thankful for Lu Yi Feng's offer though, after all, he didn't really need to do that.

"I... I don't want to become your burden. You have helped us a lot for the past few days and I can't take it for granted," Feng Xiao Qing said honestly. That was indeed her true feeling for this man. She felt complicated because of his kindness. She knew that Lu Yi Feng wasn't that generous, to begin with --- he was only nice to the people that got along well with him and it was quite rare.

Could they be considered as close to each other? She honestly didn't know about that.

Lu Yi Feng nodded when he heard what she had said. He indeed found her more and more pleasing to the eyes. "So... who is this friend?" Lu Yi Feng asked once again.

'Eh? Why are we back to this again?' Feng Xiao Qing thought to herself. She didn't think much about it. Judging from Lu Yi Feng's status, it would be weird if he didn't feel wary about it.

"He's an old friend that good at investigating people," Feng Xiao Qing answered.

"Ah... a personal investigator?" Lu Yi Feng asked.

"You could say that..." Feng Xiao Qing grinned at the man. Du Fu also had that line of works, so besides a gangster, he was also a personal investigator. She wasn't lying about that...

"If you want to meet up with him, you can tell me. At least, let me arrange someone to protect you. Going out at night isn't safe!" Lu Yi Feng said. He added silently to himself that he also wanted the person that he arranged for her to tell him what she was doing.

Feng Xiao Qing nodded. "Actually... I don't have to meet him face to face again. I can just call him for the updates. It's just that I lost contact with him and just recently asked my friend about him. That's why I have to meet him face to face to show my goodwill." Feng Xiao Qing explained.
