Xia Yan sighed softly. "Ning Can, for the sake of our friendship in the past, don't bother me anymore."

Ning Can went silent.

Xia Yan could no longer control his sight, looking at Ning Can intimately and greedily. He said in a soft voice, "Facing this kind of confession, you should go straight to the point and reject instead of showing this muddled look. Xia Yan set down his cold disguise after meeting with Ning Can again and regained his infinite amount of indulgence towards Ning Can. He said, "Which is why, please stay away from me, and don't give me any more hope…"

"But I…" Ning Can interrupted. "I don't want to leave you."

Xia Yan was stunned.

Ning Can stammered again after saying these words. His mouth usually dared to say and bawl about whatever he wanted, yet at this moment, it was as if his mouth was sticky because of paste, it was hard for him to say any words, "I don't want to leave you. I've been regretting these past four years. I regretted the foolish things I've done, I regretted going abroad, I regretted parting ways with you…"

"Ning Can!" Xia Yan stopped him from continuing his words. "I already told you not to give me any hope."

Xia Yan's heart suddenly sank to the bottom of the alley. He laughed, his black eyes lacking warmth as he said, "Don't tell me, you still want to go back to the past? After that thing happened, after I confessed to you, you would still say that you'd like to stay brothers with me and that we're just friends?"

Ning Can grasped the pillow tightly that his knuckles swelled.

Xia Yan once again experienced the feeling of despair after falling from the peak into the abyss. His voice became cold again, "Alright, Ning Can, I love you, but I'm not…"

"I don't know," Ning Can spoke at last. "I never thought you would l-love me. I never thought about this kind of feeling, but I…"

Xia Yan's eyes turned dark and his heart felt like there was a hole forming in it. Right, Ning Can never thought about it, never loved Xia Yan, exactly like what Xia Yan had known.

Ning Can raised his head and looked at Xia Yan. He finished his words, "But I don't hate it."

Xia Yan froze.

Ning Can pulled Xia Yan's hand. "Xia Yan, let's give it a try, dating…let's try…dating…"

He stammered his words badly, but every single word he said rushed to the tip of Xia Yan's heart.

"I know it's not supposed to be said this way," said Ning Can. "But I've never liked anyone, and I don't know what is considered to be liking someone, so let's give it a try, perhaps if you don't love me…mn…"

Not waiting for Ning Can to finish his words, Xia Yan had pushed Ning Can's body onto the wall. Xia Yan approached him, lowered his head, and kissed Ning Can's lips.
