I was baffled by her super slutty-looking outfit.

「Are you my king?」

「Umm, yes, I am」

I answered in a flustered voice after the slutty-looking knight opened her mouth.

「I see. I'm Sofia Burg Ednadoll, the one who answered your call from the territory of Heimdall. Please call me Sophie」

The girl named Sophie said and bowed. The cross she wore around her neck shook a little bit, and her boobs shook a lot.

「Holy melons」

「I'm sorry?」

「No, sorry, it was nothing」

「My king, there's no need to speak in such a polite tone. I'm your private army, please talk to me without reserve」

「O-okay. I-I'm Yuusaku Kaji. Everyone calls me Saki so you can just call me that」

The status window showed 7 columns,  "Strength", "Agility", "Dexterity", "Stamina", "Magic Power", "Loyalty", and "Faith". They are ranked in 7 different grades that go from the highest S to A~F. For reference, the Simons have Strength: E, Agility: F, Dexterity: F, Stamina: D, Magic Power: F, Loyalty: A, and Faith: E. They are some pretty miserable stats that make me want to cry.

As for this girl…

Woah, what's with her status? There's an unbelievable SS-ranked stat on there. Isn't S the highest it can go? On top of that, her lowest stats is only a C in strength.

Just from looking at her status, it's very likely that she's a priest knight. Her high faith means that she could use recovery magic many times, and her above average stats plus the equipment she has means that she's not a pure healer. Therefore, she's probably a priest knight who fights while using healing magic.

That halberd in her hands is proof of that. Normally, a healer would be holding a staff or a tome.

「My king, am I among the first ones to join your ranks? It's pretty quiet here」

「No, you're already the sixth one」

「Is that so? Then I guess you have already begun your fight with the demon armies」

Demon armies? What's that? Is she talking about demon type monsters? If that's what she's talking about then yeah we already fought some demons in the dungeons.

「May I ask where the royal chapel is? I have to thank the lord for our meeting, my king」

「C-chapel?」

「Yes, they were in the castle that I used to live in, I have to pray there and give my gratitude to the Lord three times a day」

Orion ignored Sophie and looked at me.

「That's unnecessary. You don't need any soldiers other than me, Saki」

「It looks like she doesn't really think much of me, huh? By the way, what's her rarity ranking? I don't think she's SSR-ranked but she's probably at least S, right?」

The summoned champions are told their own rarity ranking by the god at the time of the summoning. Some people are proud of it, some don't care, and some are offended by it.

「Sophie, there's no need to talk about rarity rankings」

「…It's R」

Orion muttered honestly. I facepalmed as I thought that she didn't need to tell her. 

「I see. I'm Sophie Berg Ednadoll, SSR-ranked. Please call me Sophie from now on」

After Sophie said that, she bowed to her the same way she bowed when she met me.

It's not like Sophie was trying to brag, she just simply blurted it out. She has the temperament of a spoiled lady who can't read the mood, so to speak.

After Orion heard "SSR", she bit her lip in frustration and dashed out.

「Ah, Orion!」

I yelled at her to stop but she was quick. There was already no way for me to catch up to her.

「Oh my, did I say something I shouldn't have?」

I wondered if I should tell Sophie about it, but since there's probably a lot of questions in her head right now, I decided to just leave it for later and went to chase after Orion.

A person who was given the rarity ranking of SSR wouldn't really understand how Orion feels. With that thought in my mind, I ran around the castle for a bit to look for Orion, but I did not find her.

After I lightly brushed Simon off, I went to check out the places that Orion usually goes to. Then, I found her at the last place I came to check.

It was the castle's rooftop. She was sitting on the fairly steep roof with her arms around her knees.

「You're going to catch a cold sitting there like that」

I climbed down to where she was on the rooftop without showing any expressions on my face, but I was actually scared inside.

Then, I sat down next to her.

When I looked up at the sky, the stars were starting to come out.

Ahh, just the sky of this world alone was remarkably more beautiful than the world I came from. As that thought crossed my mind, a voice came from next to me.   

「Why did you summon an SSR-ranked person?」  

「That's just who came out」

「I'm not going to be needed then. She's all you're going to need」

Orion said with a sad and sulky voice as she buried her head in her knees.

「You know about the situation of our forces, don't you? Of course that isn't true」

「You don't need someone like me. That person will do everything for you, she'll definitely bring in a lot more money than me」

「I'm not going to compare you to Sophie like that」

「Moreover, I'll definitely feel out of place now that such a strong person is there. I don't want to want to go back…」

Orion said that she originally came from a village in the mountains that really had nothing at all. The people there didn't even have food, let alone grow their own crops.

Orion did not stop being a koala even when we were in front of other people.

There is a mountain behind this castle, but while there are monsters residing there, they wouldn't usually come down from the mountains to this castle.

Orion jumped off from my back after she heard the word "monster".

「It's a sword bear! My brothers are fighting it right now!」

「You guys are weak so stop overdoing it」

I ran toward the castle's gate with Simon and Orion.

Sword bears are no regular small fry, they are giant bear-type monsters at a level that needs at least someone like Orion to manage.

「Ah, wait a second. Isn't this a good chance?」

A flash of realization hit my head. Isn't this the perfect chance to measure Sophie's abilities? 

With that, I yelled loudly.

「Sophie!! Come to the castle gateeee!!」

She should be coming with that. Orion who was next to me looked very angry, like she was thinking, "Even though I was right next to you, you're asking that girl for help?".

「This is a chance to see how strong Sophie is」

Orion did not reply, but she seemed to accept my reasoning.

When we arrived at the castle gate, the Simon brothers were already in a fight with it as they fired arrows at it.

They were aiming at a giant bear with ragged black fur that looked so vicious that if I ran into that in the mountains I would faint.

It was over 3 meters tall, and the nails on its front claws were long and sharp like swords. 

「Ohh, this one looks strong」

Well, I don't have the same mindset that I normally do. I now have the SSR-ranked Sophie with me. With her around, Orion will also be less exposed to danger.

Since it's possible that Sophie is strong enough to turn a sword bear into charcoal in an instant, I have to keep my eyes peeled.

Huh? Why does she look so pale? An SSR-ranked person like her should have some kind of ultimate ability. Just take the bear down with that.  

Even as a priest who doesn't specialize in combat, she should be able to beat it considering her stats.

「Alright then, I'll leave it to you」

「「「We're counting on you, please」」」

The injured Simons pulled back and lowered their heads.

「Erm, ermmm. Please leave it to me. I'm an SSR-ranked maiden who is protected by the Lord's blessing after all」

Sophie said as she stood at the front gate with her halberd out.

「Alright, here it comes. Do your best, Sophie!」

While hiding behind the withered water fountain in front of the castle's gate, we supported Sophie with just our voices.

When the sword bear noticed Sophie, it stood up on its two feet and slowly approached Sophie as it growled in a low pitch. The massive body of the bear towered over her as it looked down on her. 

I peeked in excitement to see what kind of special ability she was going to use.

The bear roared loudly and was about to swing its claws down on her.

「O-oh Lord…」

Sophie held out the cross she wore on her chest. Is she preparing for her ultimate attack? Orion dashed out instantly as I wondered.

「Dodge, you idiot!」

Orion held Sophie by the back of her head and pushed her down to the ground.

The bear's claws swiped across the area where Sophie was standing.

There's no doubt that Sophie would have been cut in two if Orion didn't help her there.

「Why aren't you fighting back?!!」

Orion asked the cowering Sophie in anger, questioning if she had a death wish.

However, while Orion was glancing at her, she noticed that Sophie's crotch area was wet.

「D-did you piss your pants?!」

「I-I have never fought against a monster…before」

Orion raised her eyebrow after she heard Sophie's shrinking voice.

The bear roared loudly and swung its claws down again.

At that moment, Orion pulled her sword out and stabbed one of the sword bear's eyes. 

The bear then growled in pain and ran away on all fours.

Without knowing why Sophie didn't fight back, I came out from the fountain's shadow and walked to where those two were in small, light steps.

「What happened?」

「This girl has never fought before」

Sophie looked apologetic and ashamed.

Ah, so that's why Orion helped her. I let out a deep sigh when I came to understand the situation.  

「And she pissed her pants」

「Please! Y-you didn't have to say that!」

I just realized that as I looked at her lower half after I was told that.

「N-no. Please……don't look」

The way she desperately tried to hide her crotch area was strangely getting me excited.

Oh no, that's not good, I shook my head. 

「So you basically don't have any actual combat experience, and you are SSR-ranked from your ability alone?」

「I had lessons on combat before, but my father and mother said it was outrageous for me to fight monsters」

Ahh she's a sheltered lady all right…I thought as I facepalmed.

I would have never thought that she would be a level one even though she's SSR-ranked. Well, there isn't actually a concept of level in this world though.

「Ahh, forget it. Let's get you in the bath for the time being」

Sophie entered the castle while looking depressed.

Orion was giving her a hand by holding Sophie by her waist. For some reason, she looked like she was in high spirits.

「Why do you look so happy?」

「I thought that I'm still going to be useful」

I was struck by a flash of realization again.

「People's misfortune, bad luck, and lack of abilities are nothing to be that happy about」

Shortly after that, my headache got even worse when Sophie came to me and complained that the bath was cold.
