I sat in the living room for a while, immersed in my thoughts. I couldn't do anything.

It was already late at night.

Frey's seat was empty, and even the refreshments were removed. The drawing room was dark because they were told not to light candles. As I quietly looked out of the window, the sound of the small chirping insects on a quiet night calmed my pounding heart.
