Gladys was over seeing the packing of the Joanna crown when various members of the 'Crown Team' came to coerce, um, ask politely to travel with her and the crown back to Clan Home . Gladys was a werewolf first and a historical researcher second . For this reason she limited the number of people going to half a dozen besides herself . Grumbling, griping and begging did not move her . Nor did the bribes . Everyone was aware of the possibility of more crown jewels .

AdvertisementOne unexpected addition seemed to be a photographer who was hired by Sotheby's at the request of The Wotan . It seemed Cally had hatched a plan to create a photography book of the Irelia crown jewels . The book to be sold for charity in conjunction with Sotheby's . To hype the book sells, the rest of the jewels would be going on display at a future location as yet undetermined .

After dashing the hopes of various experts who wanted to see the jewels and original documentations, Gladys received a phone call from a surprising VIP, Renard Durand, President of the council of werewolves . Staring at her phone before answering, she was surprised . They knew each other . But she wouldn't call them friends . Besides Sarah was available to answer any questions the council had . "President Durand, hello . For what do I owe this honor?"

"Gladys! Hello, it's been a long time . I, um, called to ask you for a favor on behalf of the council . " Renard was a bit on the tentative side . He was acting in concert with the other council members but he had never been put in this position before of having to ask a favor . They were dealing with The Wotan . Delicacy was required .

Gladys was shocked . The council asked in the way of orders or they demanded . A favor was outside her experience . "Mr . President if it is within my capabilities I would be happy to honor any requests of the council . "

"Good, Very Good! We understand that you will be allowed to ask The Wotan questions and she will answer them? We recently had a black witch make an incursion into Clan Home . Cally met him and identified him as a black witch . She had him escorted off the property . We are unclear as to what a black witch is capable of in regards to werewolves . We have not dealt with witches in a few hundred years . We would like you to ask her what could a witch do to werewolves . We are concerned because Cally took such drastic and immediate action . Um, can you do this for us?"

Gladys was silent for a moment . she was at first very reluctant when her precious chance to ask questions was mentioned . But this! This was exciting! "Yes! Of course . Mr . President I would be happy to ask Cally about this . I have been trying to decide what to ask and had not decided on anything . " After a few more cordial words were shared the call ended . 'Oh my! This is perfect! I can ask, What are black witches capable of in regards to werewolves?' The Wotan can't get out of this! It's not a before Christ question . She'll have to answer in depth . This is so perfect . No one word answers hahaha .

Gladys handed over the crown to the security team assigned to handle the crown until it is placed back in The Wotan's hands . She then looked over the travel details for the assigned personnel traveling to Clan Home . Finally having a free moment she called her beloved daughter . "Sarah, Sweetie, you didn't tell me about a black witch . " "Huh? What black witch?"
