Prologue

In a distant world, that is not Earth.

A boy understood.
That this rotting world was beyond saving.
The strong take advantage the weak.
That is the absurd rule of this world.
Scavenging for scraps, begging, thriving on violence, crime is a part of daily life.
Continuously treated like a slave, the boy’s spirit had been worn down long ago.
However, even then, the boy could not help but long for an improvement. I want to live. I must live for there is a man I must kill. For that reason, even if the water was muddy, he takes a sip.
To cling to such a wish—

Within a gloomy shed.
The morning sun leaking in through the window barely lights up the room.
An odour similar to rusted iron lingered the shed.
A corpse falls over, the floor is wet with blood, and in the corner of the room is a sack.
There, a small child enters
“Nn~! Nn, nnnh~!”
The sack restlessly squirms about; a muffled voice could be heard from inside.
The throbbing in his chest increases.
Holding his breath, the boy trembled as he approached the sack and fearfully untied the string.
With a slight rustling sound, the sack is swiftly opened.
There, a young girl with purple eyes and long, orchid hair was revealed.
Ah, as I thought.
The boy understood.
In such a world—
There is no salvation.
