Reincarnation in Against The Gods 30 Clearing the First Stage

The Phoenix's spirit had mentioned previously that the first stage was the Purgatory Flame Demon, yet only volcanoes and magma existed and there wasn't even the slightest hint of life within his line of sight.

A gigantic body covered in flames rose high from the lava and landed in front of Ryusuke with an ear-shattering boom. This was a flame giant whose entire body was on fire. It was a whole thirty-three meters tall.

It had a body that was burning entirely in red-hot flames, and had two ferocious eyes on either side of its head. Atop its head, there were also two horns of fire that were ten metres long and a golden mark that seemed to shine from the middle of these horns.

The thing was that the cultivation of this Purgatory Demon was at 10th Stage of Tyrant Profound Realm. Ryusuke raised an eyebrow as he thought 'So, the Demon is set on the basis of the Cultivation Base of the User.' He started moving forward as the Purgatory Demon howled and jumped towards him.

He used his Shunshin and disappeared from his place and hit the Purgatory Demon on its hands but its physical strength was ridiculous and he could put a dent on it. Ryusuke raised his eyebrows at this and smiled as he thought of a way to counter this Purgatory Demon.

He didn't really want to use his Mangekyou Sharingan otherwise this would be over in a minute or two, I mean he doubted that the Purgatory Demon could take on Amaterasu and if he used his Susanoo, he would even scare the Phoenix Spirit, so he decided to use Frozen End Divine Arts.

He started releasing the full aura of Frozen End Divine Art from his body, the temperature in the trial started to go down but not too much as the place was still filled with lava. He released the Frozen End Divine Domain.

A domain was formed around his body, he and the Purgatory Demon were enveloped in this domain. The Low temperature of this Domain caused the Purgatory Demon's strength to drop by half and ice started to form on its body.

But the Purgatory Demon seemed intelligent enough and used his Profound Energy around his body to save himself from freezing up, but this was the time Ryusuke required before he flashed in front of him with Shunshin and touched the Purgatory Demon's head and said in a low voice, "Flash Freezing!!"

The Purgatory Demon was frozen without resistance as it was busy applying the Profound Energy on its body. It was caught off-guard when Ryusuke travelled such a great distance and used such a fast technique to freeze it that it couldn't react in time. After it was frozen solid, Ryusuke didn't drop the Frozen End Divine Domain as he felt that the fight was just not over yet.

And as he expected, the Ice around the Demon even though it was extremely cold started to break apart as the Purgatory Demon got out of the Ice. Well, he wasn't lazing around while waiting for the Purgatory Demon to break apart the ice. He had made several Icicles in the sky and all of them were pointed towards the Purgatory Demon.

The Purgatory Demon got out of the Ice, it opened its mouth and was about to howl that suddenly an Icicle went through his mouth. Before it could do anything all the Icicles started to go through its body.

The Purgatory Demon started to regenerate by gathering back its parts which were cut off by the Icicles, Ryusuke was pretty surprised to see it gathering its arms and legs back but he thought of something and made a huge block of Ice on top of the Ice Demon.

He then dropped the Huge Block of Ice on top of the Purgatory Demon and crushed it before it could gather itself or regenerate itself. And at this time, the scenery before him suddenly distorted. In the midst of the distortion, it spun in a blur, and when everything had finally stabilized, the red land, volcanoes and pools of lava…. All of it disappeared. What replaced it was an expanse of nothingness, a wilderness so flat that there wasn't any uneven land to be seen.

"Second stage of the trial: Arrows of the Phoenix."

Ryusuke looked up, and was surprised to see the scarlet-coloured sky covered with innumerable amounts of red dots. Following this, the phoenix cry resounded again and the smear of red dots aimed at his location and suddenly started to swiftly fall like meteors. In front of his eyes, these dots drew increasingly closer and became increasingly larger.

Ryusuke thought 'Should I take them head on cause its not like they can do any to me because of the Primordial Chaos Divine Veins.' He used his Sharingan and saw each of them slowly coming towards his direction and made Icicles in the air and shot them towards the Arrows to intercept them.

Both the Icicles and the Fire Arrows collided with each other and a shockwave occurred due to their opposing nature and the profound energy in them. Ryusuke made multiple Icicles to counter the Fire Arrows coming towards him and soon the area around him was filled with the large number of shockwaves occurring due to the collision.

Ryusuke didn't even feel the drop in his Profound Energy as he continued to counter the Fire Arrows of the Phoenix. After some time, the Fire Arrows stopped appearing and Ryusuke stared up and saw a Large Fire Phoenix was there as it shaped itself like that of an Arrow and readied itself towards Ryusuke's direction.

Ryusuke stared at it and released a huge amount of Ice Aura from his body as he turned his head towards the Fire Phoenix in the Air and arrogantly looked at it and said, "Come." The Phoenix felt offended by such an action and its Aura grew even higher as it made its way towards Ryusuke.

While he was making use of his "LARGE WORLD" to gather as much ice energy in it as he could. When the Fire Phoenix was in the range, he suddenly released that Ice Energy which was stored in his "LARGE WORLD" and the whole place was suddenly filled with the Ice Energy which enveloped both the Fire Phoenix and Ryusuke.
