Reincarnated into Warframe Universe 11 Tower Offense

I go to the coordinates given to me, by Darvo, in my Ivara. I search the Relay Maroo is supposed to be at, until I locate her. Once I have her in my sights, I follow at a safe distance, until she starts to leave. Once she reaches her ship and I know which one is hers, I wait for her to board and then quickly expend all of my energy on Tracker Darts that attach to her ship.

Using the same method of construction as the Arch-Frames, I can build a pod that enables Ivara to expand her Sentry past its normal limits. Integrating this technology into the drones, I can send them out to track down the darts and send a becon like signal that Ordis can pick up on.

I get back into the Liset and head for Mars. After arriving in Mars orbit, I begin flying around the planet dropping off Tracker Drones as they are completed. After several hundred Tracker Drones have been deployed, I make sure that some are orbiting around the planet and others find their way to strategic locations on the surface. Once I was certain that I would know when she arrives here, I headed back to The Tau-er.

Once I'm back at The Tau-er, I begin construction on the Tracker Pod and an additional Ivara Specter. I instruct Ordis to have Ivara take the Orbiter to a safe distance outside of Mars orbit, occupy and deploy the Tracker Pod, and then monitor Mars' orbit and surface for Tracker Dart activity.

I take my other Ivara with me and head out towards the Orokin Towers, in the Liset. As soon as I arrive, I take my primary specter squad, also known as Specter Force One, into the closest tower.

The tower, as expected, looks much like my Tau-er only more spacious and stacked vertically. Having trained with my Specter Force One in Cephalon Simaris' simulacrum, I'm able to issue them a variety of simple to moderately complex commands. They also aren't to shabby when they're simply given a goal with no further input. They obviously can't compare to a thinking person but they're pretty damn close. We begin our journey into the tower silently and stealthily. Our goal is to sweep the entire tower all the way to the top. I want to analyze the behavior of these Corrupted, capture a handful, and see if I can locate the Neural Sentry. A couple of floors up, I realize that these Corrupted are either fully autonomous or fully controlled at all times. They go about their patrolling of the tower like robots they don't stop for breaks, communicate, or even look from side to side. If they are fully autonomous and simply have to be implanted after which they perform their tasks perfectly without further question, then what's the purpose of the Neural Sentry and how does it implant them? If the Neural Sentry must maintain control through a connection of some sort, is there a limit to how many can be controlled and what are the requirements for establishing and maintaining the connection? Also what are these implants made of, come to think of it, it may not be implants at all. Well we're about five floors up right now and we probably won't make it much further without being noticed. Realizing this, I task Ivara with scouting out a room ideal for us to hole up in. She finds the perfect room and returns to lead us there. The room itself is almost square and has only four entrances. Two entrances are on either end of the low level path that leads through it. The other two are atop staircases that lead from the low level path to walls that run parallel to it.

I contact Ordis and have him assist in transmating the prisoners and prepare the Tau-er for their arrival. Once we've acquired few dozen Corrupted, the other's behavior changes as they are now fully aware of our presence. Every Corrupted in sight focuses on us. I guess the fifth floor is where we're going to make our stand as I'm pretty sure the entire tower is after us. If I didn't have such a badass crew with me I might be worried. There is, however, very little that Specter Force One and myself can't handle.

As the Corrupted begin their counterattack in earnest, Ivara places Dash Wires at strategic locations around the room we are in. Saryn utilizes her spores and targets the Corrupted in the far reaches of the room and those just coming through the door. Nova primes all of the enemies in our immediate vicinity and Mesa activates his Shatter Shield and Peacemaker and begins targeting Heavy Units. Nova throws out gravity orbs while targeting the rest with her Gammacor. I activate my Parasitic Link on the whole force. Once all of our initial volley of abilities is complete, we begin our primary weapon assault. Within only a few seconds, the entire room being cleared is heralded by prime explosions and those reinforcements just arriving are already infected with Saryn's spores. As they pour in, we remain in the center of the room but continue moving between the ground and Dash Wires to evade enemy fire. Saryn continues to plant spores and use Toxic Lash on her Scoliac to cause the spores to spread. Once the enemy has closed in on us, Saryn unleashes death with her Miasma while Mesa cleans up any survivors. The Corrupted are still pouring in but not as fast. We all dash towards a different entrance and begin using all of our weapons to make the most of this temporary funnel. I, however, unleash my Ravenous, Virulence, and Larva in order to build my stacks. Using my pox to control any enemies lucky enough to have escaped my assault, my corridor slowly becomes a bit less crowded than the others. The others begin to be overwhelmed by the steady stream of Corrupted, so I order them to retreat back to the middle of the room and target my corridor's enemies. As soon as they are in place, I target the other entrances and send out a Larva to each one temporarily blocking off those entrances. Mesa picks off the handful of strays that escaped my blockade as I land in front of the first door and begin spamming Virulence down the hallway. Once my blockade Larvas begin to falter, I place one last Larva here, replace my blockade Larvas, and move to the next door. As I finish up the third corridor, the enemies from the other entrances are starting to slowly recover their numbers and are spilling into the room. I replace my blockade Larvas and begin work on the fourth door, as my Specter Force are beginning to reach their limits in terms of what they can handle with only weapons. By the time I've thinned out the fourth corridor, my stacks are maxed out. I bullet jump immediately back to the center of the room, lay down my Ravenous and Parasitic Links, and order Specter Force to unleash hell. With permission to now resume use of their abilities, the enemies that were once trying to press the advantage are now deathly still. We continue to hold off the seemingly endless hoard of Corrupted, until our energy begins running low. I throw out my Larva blockades once again, as Specter Force gathers up energy and ammo. While regrouping, we clean up the few strays still in the room. I visit a couple of corridors to get my stacks back to max and then attempt to implement a modified version of Ravenous back in the center of the room. I focus on the outer edges of my ability and imagine an Infested growth that looks like a Grineer blockade cover. Once my Ravenous is deployed, I can see the four small square walls around the edges. They won't be able to stop bullets completely but they are self regenerating and can reduce the damage inflicted. This time I instruct Mesa, to take point and utilize her Peacemaker to its fullest. I instruct the rest to take cover and await further instructions. The cover, combined with the accelerated health regeneration of my Ravenous, should be more than enough to keep them from taking any serious damage. Mesa activates her Shatter Shield and then her Peacemaker. Watching Mesa, perform her Peacemaker in real time, is pretty amazing. The speed with which she acquires her targets, aims perfectly, and dispatches the enemy is quite stunning. Mesa successfully halts the enemies advancement and even slows it a bit. She is almost out of energy now so I instruct her to take cover and order them all to lay down primary and secondary fire. I instruct Saryn to start spreading her spores. Once the enemy has retaken the room, Saryn unleashes her Miasma and takes point utilizing her Molt, Spores, and Toxic Lash to keep the now cleared room mostly empty. Before her energy is fully depleted, I order her to get back to cover and suppress the enemy with weapons fire. The enemy continues to push forward, until they're too close for our liking, at which point I set Nova loose. She preps her Null-Star, and Primes the whole room. She then throws an Antimatter Drops in each direction. The sound of successively exploding enemies fills the room. There is a moment of what seems like silence as my hearing readjusts to the background noise. Seeing the room being cleared, I immediately send out my blockade Larvas. The crew replenishes and regroups back in the room's center, while Ivara, of course, stays invisible on her perch playing the scout/sniper role. It seems as though the flow of enemies has slowed somewhat but still doesn't seem to be ending. I call Ivara down from her perch and instruct the others to post up at a door. I order Ivara, to make the rounds to each door, send one Opticor blast down the corridor, and move on to the next one. With each door being manned by either myself or a specter and with Ivara's invaluable assistance, we manage to hold off the Corrupted for several more minutes. When their energy starts running low, Ivara lays down cover fire while the doorman will dash down the corridor to replenish their reserves. In this way we can continue to fight for as long as we have enemies.

Approximately ten minutes later, we finally begin to see a drastic reduction in the flow of enemy units. I have Ivara make one last round and I follow behind throwing out Larvas and Virulence. We all fall back to the room's center and wait to see if more reinforcements are coming. The remaining enemies, from the corridors, make their way to us only to meet their inevitable end. Having dealt with all visible enemies and with no reinforcements heading our way, I send Ivara out to scout the next floor. Upon her return, we all head towards the sixth floor.

Well this is new. I'm certain I've never seen the Corrupted act this way before. Initially the entire floor seemed to be empty, but we eventually ended up being ambushed by several Corrupted hiding in a couple of corridors before the stairway. They didn't manage to do too much damage obviously but now I'm fairly certain that the Neural Sentry can actively manipulate individual Corrupted.

The other floors were also sparsely populated with short lived ambushes. We made short work of them and continued our ascent. Twenty floors later, 'Holy Mother of Tenno! How many freaking floors are in this tower?' Forty five. There are forty five floors in this tower, or so I thought. Once we reach what appears to be the top floor, I'm immediately disappointed realizing that it really isn't that different from the other floors. I also note the distinct lack of anything that might be called a Neural Sentry. We explore the entire floor, looking into every nook and cranny. I'm becoming more and more depressed as we search. 'Is this really all there is? Is there only one Neural Sentry between all the towers?' I look to the center of the room we are in and, unlike the one we were fighting in before, there is a circular platform raised only slightly and the floor surrounding it inclines to meet the top. It looks for all intents and purposes to be another inert decorative design but as soon as I look at it critically something in my mind clicks. I walk over to the platform and stand on top of it, followed by my Specter Force. Just before we are all on the platform, it begins to move upwards. A couple of specters stumbled slightly but recover quickly. The ceiling above us opens up and the platform moves itself into the opening. There is a white light shining all around us as we move through what seems to be a transparent tube. As soon as my head breaches the opening, I find what I've been looking for. The room itself seems to be the only one occupying this level of the tower. It's entirely enclosed, dome shaped, and its internals are very similar to the Void Reactor room on the Orbiter. We are currently atop the platform which is in between the wall and another platform in the center of this room. There is no floor at the level of the platforms with the exception of a lone bridge connecting the two. On the other platform, there's a similar to the Operator chair in the Orbiter. Within the chair sits a woman with a Lotus type headgear setup and various tubes are connected to her headgear. The tubes run up to the ceiling and cover a good portion of the walls of the room, eventually going into the wall itself. Seeing this, I'm reassured that this mission won't be a waste. It seems my hypothesis regarding the nature of the Neural Sentry wasn't too far off. If it wasn't like this, I'd probably have to remodel the entire Traveler fortress.

"What have you come here for, Intruder? Why have you set yourself against the Orokin?" The Lotus like figure asks me.

"First of all, the Orokin are no more. They were betrayed by the Tenno and the Sentients and have very few remaining descendants. Second, I've come here to learn about the functionality of the towers. I want to know how they work. I want to discover everything the Orokin knew about Ducalidium, Oro, Kuva, Void Energy, and the Sentients."

"....the Orokin.....gone?...no that can't be ...the Tenno and the Sentients...I suppose you're claim could be true. If the Orokin were to be defeated, it would make sense that it would happen at the hands of their own creations. The Orokin were the only ones who posed any real threat to themselves. It would explain why no one but intruders has been here for hundreds of years. That said, it doesn't matter, you are an intruder and you must be disposed of."

"I'll admit I am curious to find out what kind of abilities you might have but I'd like to resolve this peacefully if at all possible. Can you tell me what you are exactly? Are you an Orokin or another one of their creations?"

"Abilities…? Ahh, yes, I have many fearful abilities, quite terrible my abilities. You really wouldn't want to anger an Orokin creation such as myself. You should leave now if you enjoy living."

'Errr, is this person serious? Is that supposed to be a bluff? Does she really not have any abilities?'_"Ummm, so listen I'm kind of on a mission here and I'm not leaving until I accomplish it. If you could just help me acquire the information I'm after, that would be really helpful and appreciated."

The visible part of her face seemed to go through a series of contortions, before she spoke. "I...will not assist an intruder in stealing from the tower I was tasked with protecting. I WON'T DO IT!"

I order Ivara to prep a Sleep Arrow, Nova and Saryn to standby, and Ordis to prepare for another prisoner transmat. Ivara, having been invisible this entire time as usual, pulls out her Artemis Bow. On my signal, Ivara fires at the target at the same time Nova rushes forward to knock the headgear off of the targets head. Saryn sprints ahead to restrain the target in the event the Sleep Arrow is ineffective. The Sleep Arrow does its job, they each carry out their tasks perfectly, and what I'm assuming is the Neural Sentry is incapacitated and transmated to The Tau-er. I'd like to think that I could use this tower but I have no idea how to control its various functions. Until the Neural Sentry has been thoroughly studied and I'm certain I can replicate whatever she is, I'll just have to leave it be for now.

I arrive back onboard The Tau-er and check on our newly acquired prisoner, to ensure she is thoroughly restrained, before heading towards the Plains of Eidolon.

This is my first time seeing the Plains since my arrival in this new Universe. I don't know if it's just the extended amount of time spent looking at empty black space but the plains are quite beautiful. Now that I'm here, I need to seek out the Quills and eventually the Unum.
