Regression - Chapter 1 (fixed)
As I gain my consciousness, I see a familiar yet strange ceiling.
“Is this the afterlife?”
I questioned my reality.
I am trying to jog my memory and trying to remember what happened after I died.
“Saintess… Silvia and Miss… Lithea”
As I muttered those words, my head began to ache.
“I remember they are fighting in the… capital and everything is shrouded with… ominous darkness”
“I saw everyone die and Miss Lithea… tried to save them from… Saintess?”
My headache is worsening if I try to remember more of the past events.
“Hah, even in afterlife”
I tried to massage my head to ease my headache but to no avail.
*Knock Knock*
I flinched as I heard a knock from the door.
“I will come in, lady Krysalia”
As the door clicks open, I see my personal maid, Melanie.
Her personal maid stops mid-way after seeing Krysalia wide awake.
“Lady Krysalia? I-I will call for them to inform that you are awake my lady”
“W-wait, Melanie”
I tried to stop Melanie from calling my father and step-brothers but I was too late to stop her as she began to sprint to inform them about me.
“My father, my brothers and… also Melanie are here?”
I felt everything unreal because my brothers… died in the capital fighting from the formless monsters, my father was first to die from a death plague and as for my personal maid, Melanie died protecting me from formless monsters.
She was deep in thought and tried to think even with her current state.
A glint from the mirror broke me from my trance.
“No way”
I saw my face in the mirror as if I had gone back to time from 8 years ago. Fierce crimson eyes, velvet wavy hair and fair skin like a sculpted beauty from a god.
“Is this really afterlife? Why did I look exactly like I was 8 years ago?”
I question my reality, again.
“This pain… the pain in my head is real- UGH”
*THUD*
As I fall down on the floor, my headache begins to worsen and becomes unbearable for me.
“Ughh… UWAAAAAAAAAGH”
I shouts in indescribable pain like a madman.
As she screams from her pain, her memories flash before her eyes. Memories keep flooding in, as she’s losing her consciousness.
