Quick Transmigration: Destroy Harems System! 32 My Home

Chiang Jin had been lucky to reach upstairs the moment the door was almost broken by the four men Wang Xi had brought with him, along with the person himself.

Queerly, sirens rang from outside and Chiang Jin's expression deepened. Sadly, he had no time to think about that, just by looking at these men trying to break open the door he could guess what was going on. He just hoped that nothing had happened to Miss Lang or else there was no telling of the wrath that Huo Zi Feng and the Lang parents would unleash on him.

Yao Yan rushed upstairs followed by Zhou Jia, her mind blank with worry.

The moment Bao FeiYin had left the auction house, she'd called Zhou Jia. There was no way Huo Zi Feng would pick up her calls and she needed to tell someone or else Qiu Yue...

Bao FeiYin did hate Qiu Yue and Meng Hui. At least for awhile she had. But these past weeks when being thrown away by Wang Xi only to be called back to trap Qiu Yue and being made to look from the side, his madness had scared her. She felt she had had no choice but to cooperate despite having no intentions of being the one held responsible for this. After all, Qiu Yue had left her alone for the most part, and she didn't want to provoke any of the men who were by her side. Yuan ZeXi had been ready to kill her, just from his expression she could already tell, but he had stopped, and she knew it was because either Qiu Yue or Meng Hui had asked him to.

She wasn't incapable of crime but she didn't think she could do something like this to another woman. And she certainly didn't want to become a borrowed knife.

It hadn't taken Yao Yan even a moment to confirm what Bao FeiYin had said. Qiu Yue was too shaken up to talk or respond to Yao Yan through their mental connection but Yao Yan could hear her thoughts. She could feel the fear shaking her to her very core.

The door was broken down right as she had reached the floor. She could see Wang Xi being held back by the bulky security personnel, but she was too worried about Qiu Yue to care.

Seeing her standing there with an empty look in her eyes, it had scared Yao Yan. Yao Yan reached out to hold Qiu Yue's hand only for Qiu Yue to step back in panic.

"No! Don't. Don't come near me."

"Please..."

Qiu Yue's voice was dangerously fragile.

Looking at the terribly agitated Yao Yan, Zhou Jia pulled her away from Qiu Yue.

"She needs to cry. Right now, she looks like she's trapping every feeling inside."

But how could they? She wouldn't let anyone near herself. Chiang Jin's heart was filled with worry and sickness. Of course, he wasn't such a nice person to feel worried about her, but Qiu Yue's current condition was caused by Wang Xi and the connection between Bao FeiYin and Wang Xi...

Qiu Yue felt like the world around her was buzzing. When someone spoke in front of her, she couldn't understand a thing. All of the voices had melded into that one monotonic buzz. She just wanted to go back home, crawl into her bed and sleep forever.

No matter where she looked, it felt like the room was full of familiar strangers.

But suddenly there was a louder buzz and when she turned to look at it— his warm eyes were fraught with worry and she felt like he was her refuge. She had no idea why, and even she didn't understand it. He made her feel like home, like the sunshine on that cold winter morning. Her feet took a step towards him. But it was like all her feelings suddenly came crashing down on her all of a sudden and she couldn't seem to move an inch, frozen with a bone-chilling cold.

The hands that she had clasped together in front of herself suddenly felt warm as large, steady hands wrapped her up in their embrace. Looking up in a haze, she saw his eyes looking back at her, reflecting only her, like always. They were filled with concern and something else she had never seen in her world.

Qiu Yue didn't know what love was. But perhaps if she were asked to ever define it, it would be what Huo Zi Feng held in his eyes at this moment, only for her.

Her fingers trembled as she grasped his shirt, laying her head on his chest. As the warmth seeped into her cold body, her calm façade shattered. Her breath quickened as tears began to fall. She wasn't crying because she had been scared, she was crying because without saying anything, he had just hugged her.

It didn't matter what had happened. Huo Zi Feng had pulled her close to himself and given her his wholehearted, unconditional love.

He held her closer as she cried endlessly into his chest, pressing his cheek against hers, not saying a word.

Chiang Jin felt guilty.

He thought she didn't have any emotions, standing stoically. To the extent of being unreasonable and not letting anyone near her, not even for treatment. But it hadn't been that. Qiu Yue just couldn't trust anyone else. No one other than Huo Zi Feng existed in her eyes right now.

A distant look appeared in his eyes as he wondered why Bao FeiYin had never been able to do the same, and whether he could do the same for her.

Yao Yan quietly sank into the darkness, watching by the sideline, looking at the both of them. She'd known, Qiu Yue wouldn't allow herself to cry unless she really considered that person a part of her heart.

Yao Yan had held her once while she had cried. And that moment would also be the last. She wasn't fortunate enough to be that close with Qiu Yue ever again.
