Chapter 8 Can I stay?

After the doctor left, Cen Muqi sat by the bed and looked at him. After hesitating to asks he said, “Is tonight because what happened at the bar last time?”

Just now those people said Yao Yuanjing was angry because Ji Nai-tang slept with others. Cen Muqi naturally thought of what happened a week ago.

It was said that Yao Yuanjing recently went on a business trip about and was estimated to have just returned today.

Ji Nai-tang nodded and seemed sad on the surface but his heart wasn’t beating fast because he was nervous for lying, but because he was close to Cen Muqi and his heartbeat accelerated subconsciously.

Twelve years later, it had changed from the initial gratitude to love later. Cen Muqi had almost become his obsession and now he was so close to his obsession and may continue to be close in the future. Thinking of this he even wanted to cry.

He had not lost such a thing as tears for many years.

Cen Muqi didn’t know what he was thinking nor did he know how to comfort him. He could only say, “You get a good night’s sleep first. I will help you with these things.”

As he said this he was ready to get up but the corner of his clothes was pulled. Ji Nai-tang said pitifully, “I am a little scared. Can you stay with me?”

Cen Muqi looked at him silently and didn’t answer. Ji Nai-tang slowly let go of his hand and whispered: “I am sorry, I…..”

“I will sit here with you.”

Ji Nai-tang looked at Cen Muqi with bright eyes. Such an expression made him feel soft in the heart. He couldn’t understand himself and he didn’t know why he had made repeated expectations of the man in front of him. He thought about it and asked, “Do you still want to go back to Yao Yuanjing?”

Ji Nai-tang had been waiting for this sentence. When he heard him say the words, he hurriedly shook his head with fear and said after: “If I go back he will reward me to those people. I, I don’t want….. they….. I….. I will die.”

Cen Muqi nodded clearly and took out his cell phone and dialed Yao Yuanjing’s number. Ji Nai-tang lay there watching quietly. Cen Muqi had not spoken yet but he could already guess what he was about to say.

Nevertheless he showed a puzzled expression. Cen Muqi put his index finger on his mouth to not make a sound and then after he switched on his cell phone he pressed hands-free. “Hello? President Yao. It is me, Cen Muqi.”

“President Cen, this late is there something wrong?”

“I believe President Yao already knows what happened at the bar.” Cen Muqi opened the discussion and the other side also didn’t go round in circles. “Yes, I know that the people under my hand have no eyes to see and I am surprised they disturbed President Cen. When I am free I will invite you to dinner to express my apologies. I hope you will give me face.”

“Speaking so heavily. I got somebody back from their hands.”

“Ji Nai-tang?” Yao Yuanjing chuckled and said: “Why? Does President Cen have any thoughts on him?”

“It depends on whether President Yao is willing to give up his love.”

After a moment of silence on the other end of the phone, the voice continued: “I have mentioned several times that I wanted to send someone to President Cen all of which has been rejected. Now that it wasn’t easy for President Cen to open his mouth, of course, no problem. I also hope that Fengqi and Cen group can have a pleasant cooperation in all aspects.”

The phone call was less than three minutes but it completely changed Ji Nai-tang’s fate. After hanging up, Cen Muqi looked down at Ji Nai-tang who didn’t speak.

Yao Yuanjing promised readily but it wouldn’t make people suspicious. After all what he meant was very obvious. He wascounted as paving the way. In the future, the cooperation between Fengqi and Cen group would not be less.

After a period of silence in the room, Cen Muqi looked at the infusion bag and there was still more than half of it inside. It was estimated that it would hang there until early in the morning.

“I am watching over here. Sleep peacefully.”

Ji Nai-tang nodded and listened to Cen Muqi say, “You are free to decide whether to go or stay. I won’t stop you nor do you have to worry that Yao Yuanjing will embarrass you.”

“I, can I stay?”

“Why do you want to stay?”

“You helped me and I have nowhere to go.”

Cen Muqi thought about Ji Nai-tang’s situation. The Ji family wasn’t his backer and he had offended his original backer Yao Yuanjing now so there was really nowhere else for him to go.

It was because of Cen Xi that it involved him again and he was really satisfied with him so he nodded after a little thought.

Ji Nai-tang looked relieved so he was willing to close his eyes and rest. What Cen Muqi who was sitting by the bed didn’t see was the corner of his mouth that was blocked by the quilt that couldn’t help but rise.
