“Look at this, how does it look?” Yan Wugui pointed to the mark drawn on his forehead and giggled.

“Yeah, nice,” Lu Mingshu mumbled, exasperated.

Yan Wugui's solution was to give both of them a seal, and he swore that it would be so realistic that nobody could find out.

Is he joking? Lu Mingshu had never heard that a barbarian's marking could be replicated. And it was based on birth, so it wasn't hard to check whether it was real or fake.

But Yan Wugui insisted on his idea. “Relax, this is a special kind of ink, and it's full of mystic force! Who could tell if they do not check personally? We are not planning on sneaking into any place with security anyways, and I doubt we would be stopped on the street randomly just to check if we are true humans or not.”

Yan Wugui pondered for a while before jumping up, wiping off the mark drawn on his forehead. “Smart! Let's go!”

“Young Master, I'm here to deliver your meal,” somebody answered from the door.

Ji Xulin heard his stomach grumble. After a day of running for his life, he was indeed getting hungry. He waved his sleeve, and the door opened up automatically. “Place it there.”

“Yes.” The clerk left the food there and ran away.

This inn may be small, but the food looks surprisingly okay. Ji Xulin went over to take a look.

The dishes were simple and there weren't any exotic delicacies. However, the fish soup stood out from the rest, and he downed the whole bowl.

Hmm, I'll take the chef who made this soup back with me too. And with that, he fell asleep.

While he was sleeping, he heard somebody open the door.

It startled Ji Xulin. He wanted to get up and check who it was, but he realized that he was unable to control his body.

What's happening? Did I perhaps… get drugged?

His vision was blurred, but from the corner of his eyes he saw someone, and a voice was heard; “Ha, my drug is powerful, right? Even someone in the Harmonization Realm is bowing to me!”

Then a young girl's voice was heard; “If you want to boast, go somewhere else. Hurry up.”

“Yes!”

Then, he was carried away.

After that, Ji Xulin couldn't remember anything.

Yan Wugui took off the clerk's shirt and bent down to have a close look at Ji Xulin's seal.

It was a four-legged beast with a long and thin neck and red in color. It looked somewhat like a deer.

“It's easy!” Yan Wugui said. He took out a piece of paper and traced over the seal. “See?”

Lu Mingshu looked at the drawing. Yan Wugui was surprisingly not bad at drawing; it was already similar to Ji Xulin's seal. He just needed a few more tries and it would look exactly alike. Only…

“Are you sure that just drawing it out will do? What if they have secret skills?”

Yan Wugui thought for a while. “Right!”

He threw his pen to the side and started stripping Ji Xulin.

“What in the world are you doing?”

“Just looking at what he has,” he said casually, not stopping his actions.

“Eh?” Yan Wugui held up Ji Xulin's belt and looked at Lu Mingshu in surprise. “The mustard seed pouch is attached to his belt.”

He used some tricks to break it open, and there were some sounds as he poured out a bunch of things.

Clothes, some necessities, random stuff, and books.

“This type of drug is not bad, it can improve blood circulation. You hold on to it!” Yan Wugui gave a bottle to Lu Mingshu.

“This looks like a treasure, keep it first!” It was a thin piece of gold foil.

“This as well, and this…” Everything was almost cleared before Yan Wugui picked up the book. “Ji Family's Soul Congealing Secret Art? Heh, interesting!”

Lu Mingshu placed everything aside, exasperated. “We brought him here to look at his seal, not rob him. Is there a need for all this?”

“He is not a good guy.” Yan Wugui looked at the book with interest as he said, “When we were at the mountain, he was being chased by that ferocious beast, and he purposely called out to me and even ran in my direction. Luckily I ran quickly. If I was caught by that beast, then there would've been nowhere for me to go.”

Yan Wugui was just a human, not a saint. Ji Xulin offended him and yet wanted him to be nice? Sorry to disappoint, but I'm rather petty. An eye for an eye!

“Is it so powerful?” Lu Mingshu leaned over, unable to contain her curiosity.
