They weren't the only ones seeking out Watanabe-sensei. The staffroom hallway was packed with Class 1-A students screaming out demands.

'If you don't get to your next class you'll all get detention for a week!' Haradsensei threatened with a coarse voice.

His students' insistent demands and shouting were going over his cauliflower like ears.

Duran flicked his friends an uneasy look over his shoulder and noticed Watanabe-sensei cowering behind a door at the other side of the hallway. They crept away from the fuss and approached their science teacher. who failed to slam the door on his face.

'Sensei! Don't you dare! You and I need to chat.' Duran hissed through gritted teeth.

'I'm busy. Go to class,' Watanabe-sensei whispered to shoo him off.

'Sure. I'll go but I'm going to scream out to everyone you're here first,' Duran said in a threatening tone of voice.

'You wouldn't!'

Watanabe-sensei glanced down the hallway and the mob of first years bailing up poor Haradsensei. He knew it was pointless to attempt discipline on a bunch of students in a near psychotic state.

Duran took a step back and opened his mouth to scream out Watanabe-sensei's location. His science teacher pulled him into the room and slammed the door behind them before his voice was let out.

'It wasn't meant to work.' Watanabe-sensei fretted.

Duran felt his teacher was more excited than panicky.

'Why are you excited?! You have to fix this!'

'Fix? Well you could have a cold shower.' Watanabe-sensei mused.

'And that would return me to normal?'

'No, but it'll calm you down.'

'Calm down?! I want my friggin science teacher to fix the wrong he caused me and all the others!' Duran screamed.

'Now, now, Kitkun. Your pheromones are absolutely sparkling with hotness right now. You're a lady killer. Isn't that every teenage boy's dream?' Watanabe-sensei attempted flattery.

'Only I'm not attracting the ladies.' Duran grumbled to himself. 'Hang on! Whadya mean pheromones?'

'Oh the ingredients we mixed were an attempt to recreate Androstenone, but it somehow ended up as a cloud machine,' Watanabe-sensei recounted.

He wasn't fazed by Duran's obvious distressed expression on the matter.

'Andro-what?' Duran nervously gulped. Praying it wasn't some new kind of virus they needed WHO intervention.

'Androstenone. Boosts the sex pheromone to a mating call.' Watanabe-sensei chuckled when he found it amusing that such experiment had actually worked.

He wondered at the actual emotional intelligence of his students.

'To be honest. I thought the most that would happen is a small bang and fizz.'

'It banged alright.' Duran thought to himself. He clenched his fists as he felt his testosterone escalating.

'So you're saying that some stupid teacher wanted to make a love potion in his class?!'

'Stupid? Tsk. Students never appreciate science. But, yes, I would conclude that.'

'Tell me why I shouldn't punch you right now.' Duran gritted his teeth, suppressing the urge to slam his fists into something.

'Why? Because it's science!' Watanabe-sensei answered childishly.

Duran detected a tone of wonderment to the man's voice. He realized his teacher was really, unexpectedly, both proud and surprised of his discovery. Perhaps he had no intention to harm in the first place. He knew he had to calm down or face an unsightly experience and consequence. Despite the anger he felt at that man, he was still his teacher.

'Okay, why are people outside my class affected?' Duran slowly exhaled to calm down.

'Well they have pheromones too and you're reeking of a mating call right now. So, they are naturally responding with the same intensity. Should anyone affected lock eyes for more than three seconds, it'll activate a mating call for those sharing the right amount of, ahem, chemistry. Once the mating call is sated, one way or another, pheromones will return to a normal level as well.'

'Whaaad?! Have sex with people?' Duran said aghast at the idea.

'Dreadful boy. This is a school not a swingers club. You keep your filthy ideas in your head!' Watanabe-sensei scolded him.

'Then what's the alternative?' Duran felt his tensions rising again.

'Make an elixir that will negate the effects of a mating call and return the levels to normal for both parties. The ingredients needed are mostly from plant extracts so should be harmless to humans.'

'Okay, let's do that!'

Finally! A solution that didn't sound like a sexual harassment lawsuit.

'But, well, it's not going to be easy finding the ingredients at this school,' Watanabe-sensei said as he mulled over the recipe in his head.

Banging on the door paused their conversation. Watanabe-sensei goaded Duran to say something.

'Yeah?' Duran called out.

'Duran open up, please!' Fumio called out in desperation.

Duran opened the door and jumped back as Fumio and Saski rushed into the room and slammed the door hard.
