「This is ridiculous! It's all her fault, so why do you have to sustain yourself?!」

Kyrie smiled at Laura's letter which was evidently written in anger.

‘I must arrive and write back to her.'

At the order of her father, the head of the house, Kyrie is to be headed to the villa.

Count Buchanan's villa was on the southern coast of the continent, near the sea, just like any aristocrat would have.

She wanted to go somewhere anyway, so Kyrie set out on her journey, ignoring the heavy snow.

‘Winter seas are not bad either.'

The capital city of Arellano is gorgeous, but not comfortable. At every ball, people would always compare Kyrie and Rubinia individually.

[You've been acting like you're alone as if you can't do anything without a man, I can't help it. Miss Buchanan is no better than we think, I guess?]

They seemed happy that Kyrie, who had never made a gossip, would be heaped on the scandal.

Now that her engagement with Edwin has been broken off, it's all better now.

It would be better if Laura and Maria were around, but she couldn't be with them forever.

The blatant feelings that were revealed for a short time were quickly replaced by her usual kind face, and with that Kyrie could no longer see the lovely Rubinia she thought.

It was from that moment when she began to step back against Rubinia because she thought it would be troublesome if she chose to do otherwise.

There were only two reasons why Kyrie obeyed the engagement order anyway.

It was an obsession to be resolute like a noble. And a false sense of responsibility that everything should be done for the sake of one's family

With the engagement broken off, Kyrie ironically felt free from the grasp of those two reasons.

While Kyrie was staring blankly at the snow falling, the carriage came to a stop.

Knock, knock

Someone knocked on the door of the carriage.

“What's going on?”

When Kyrie nodded her head, Anne-Marie, who was sitting near the door, opened the door.

It was Sir Valdir. He was the knight of Count Buchanan accompanied to escort Kyrie.

“Lady, there's a problem.”

“What's the matter, Sir Valdir?”

“Because of the heavy snow, it is difficult to move on any further. It would be better to find a place to rest.”

Behind Valdir stood their guide who was seemingly restless. The snow outside was thick enough to reach Valdir and the horseman's calves.

Kyrie sighed while MarryAnne covered her with a shawl.

“That's right. It would be better if we took a rest in the last town.”

Kyrie was feeling good earlier.

She was planning to stay in the previous village for a few days because she didn't feel good, but the guide told her that it was not time for heavy snow yet, so she asked him, the ‘expert', to do whatever he wanted.

“How about going back to the previous village?”
