Mom! Dad! I'm still here! 2 What's the date?

Was she so light that her Mom was now taking her in her arms? And how did she end up in her Home Sweet Home, rather than the cold apartment?

The next moment, she saw her Mom carrying her to the bathroom, "Now my baby will brush her teeth."

What was going on?

Was she a baby who needed to be carried to the bathroom?

"Mom! Put me down!"

"Why?", her Mom smiled, "You always brush your teeth while in my lap.

"Since when?" What's up with her Mom? Why was she acting so strangely?

"After all, you're such a shortie. You can't even brush without looking at the mirror there."

"Why would I...", her words froze when her eyes fell on the mirror.

What the...? How did she become such a squartle? Such a shortie? Two protruding buns decorated her tiny head. She raised her tiny fist & the reflection on the mirror did the same. What? Did she end up traveling backward in time? To her 5-year-old self? But, wait! Her mind was still 16, right? That's why she felt her Mom was overreacting.

Her Mom noticed her bewildered expression & squished her cheeks lovingly, "You look like you saw the mirror for the first time."

Little Noah moved her face away from the mirror & looked at her Mom, "What's the date?"

"Ah! Today is the 5th of February."

Oh! That's it. Yesterday was her 5th birthday. That's why she dreamt of it in her sleep.

"My princess is up so early!", her Dad came in.

Noah was delighted & extended both of her little arms towards him, "Dad!"

Dad chuckled and carried her out of her Mom's arms. He swayed her gently from side to side.

If she remembered correctly, today was the first day of her kindergarten school.

"Mommy, am I going to school today?"

"Yeah! baby!", Mom pinched her little nose.

30 minutes later

Mom carried baby Noah out of the bathroom, wrapped in a fuzzy towel. As soon as she was put down, Noah rushed towards the uniform. A little white shirt, a blue skirt dungaree & a red little bow!

Noah was so delighted. Wasn't it great to be a child again?

Dad came & swiftly carried her in his arms.

Inside the car

Noah sat in the front seat with her Dad. Soon, his Dad started the engine. On the way, she saw the park, the supermarket & felt fuzzy at heart. Many thoughts from the past came to her mind. It was really a great luck to be a 5 year old again.

She turned her head to look at her Dad. That's when she noticed the blue bruise on his neck. She frowned & called out in her baby voice, "Dad, how did you get that bruise on your neck?"

Dad's happy face turned serious & disgust was clearly written on his face. He spoke with gritted teeth, "It's nothing."

Baby Noah's frown deepened. Her eyes were thoughtful. If Dad did the deed with Mom last night, he wouldn't have felt disgusted, right?

At least, he might have felt a bit awkward or embarrassed. But, he was disgusted. Why?
