Los Angeles Detective Chapter 59

  Chapter 59 Suspicious nurse

Tim confessed, and the case has progressed.

Luke is in a good mood today. He bought a pizza and fried chicken and went home to see his mother and brother.

Linda couldn't help sighing after seeing the pizza and fried chicken, "You still think he's not fat enough? He's almost turning into a ball."

"Occasionally, it's okay to eat less." Luke waved his brother to come and eat.

The little fat man couldn't help swallowing for a long time. He opened the lid, took out a chicken leg, and took a big bite.

Linda took out a piece of pizza and ate it, and she was happy to relax without having to cook dinner.

Luke cracks open a cold bottle of beer, eats fried chicken, and drinks beer.

Linda glanced at the eldest son, "Where did you go last night?"

   "There is a task."

"comeon, am I so easy to lie?"

"What I said is true. I'm on a witness protection mission. I can't say more about the specific situation. I'll come back to get some clothes and I have to leave later."

   "Are you moving?"

"nono, I'm just going to perform the task, and I will come back to live when this case is over."

Linda shrugged, "I don't care if you live or not, as long as your luggage is at home, you have to pay the rent."

"Mom, it's a pity that you don't do business."

"I want to go out and do business, who raised you two bastards?" Linda just finished talking about the eldest son, and then looked at the little fat man beside him, "Hey, you have already eaten two fried chicken legs, at most you can Eat another one."

The little fat man chewed the meat, and said vaguely, "Mom, chicken is protein, so it won't make you fat."

"You are talking about boiled chicken, but what you are eating now is fried chicken drumsticks. Don't change the concept. If you dare to eat the fourth drumstick, you will..."

"I know...the pocket money will be gone." The little fat man interrupted Linda, and asked with some dissatisfaction, "Can I eat pizza?"

   "Only eat one piece."

The little fat man rolled his eyes, "You are such a kind and good mother."

"Hmm, thank you for the compliment."

Luke put down the beer glass, glanced at the little fat man, and found that there was a bruise on his face, "Jack, what's the matter with the injury on your face?"

The little fat man rubbed his face, and said indifferently, "I got into a fight with someone yesterday, and I accidentally got hurt."

Luke asked concerned, "You were beaten?"

"No, it was a fair fight, one-on-one. I beat him harder." The little fat man waved his fist, "His eyes were swollen from my beating, and he cried worse than a girl."

Luke clinked glasses with his brother, "Nice job."

Linda said, "That's how you educate your brother. Fighting is not a good thing."

"Mom, boys can't be too honest and easily bullied." Luke patted his younger brother on the shoulder, "If anyone troubles you, remember to tell me."

The little fat man boasted, "Comeon, I am the Bruce Lee of the new century."

Luke smiled, "Bruce Lee is not as fat as you."

The three of them ate and chatted, and Luke liked the atmosphere very much.

   There is a 'home' feeling.

For a traveler, this feeling is very precious.

"Jingle Bell…"

In the early morning, Luke was woken up by a cell phone ringing.

Luke found the phone from beside the pillow, squinted his eyes and glanced at it. It was only past seven in the morning.

"Hello."

"Luke, don't tell me, you haven't gotten up yet." David's voice came from the phone.

  Luke yawned, "What is it?"

"Just received a report from the Omei Hospital that Lawn is missing."

"Missing? Isn't he still awake? Why did he suddenly disappear?"

"It is not clear whether it is missing or kidnapped? Let's meet at Aomei Hospital in half an hour."

"Fuck, this case has twists and turns." Luke hung up the phone and threw it aside.

Laid on the bed for another three minutes before getting up.

After washing up, he greeted Daisy and drove directly to the hospital in a Harley.

Luke ran into David downstairs, and the two rushed out of Lawn's ward together.

A black patrolman sat there anxiously, with a simple and honest appearance, and looked much more reliable than Marcus.

Luke flashed his police badge, "I'm Detective Luke, and I'm in charge of investigating Lawn's case. What's your name?"

"My name is Roland. I was in charge of the night watch last night. In the morning, the nurse made a ward round and found that Roland was missing."

"Did you leave the door of the ward last night?"

"Yes, around 3:00 in the morning, I vaguely heard gunshots, so I went to check along the stairs, but found nothing unusual, and left for about ten minutes."

"Did you see Lawn at the time?"

"I looked through the glass and he was still sleeping.

But the nurse checked this morning and found a dummy on the hospital bed.

sorry, I screwed up. "Roland showed a guilty look.

"Who has visited Lawn these two days?"

   "Two daughters, Sophia and Emma."

   "Who was the last one?"

"The eldest daughter Sophia, she comes back every day and stays longer."

   "Where's stepson Brooke?"

"I haven't been here for two days."

Luke nodded, turned and entered Lawn's ward.

The ward has not changed much from last time, except that the bed has become a dummy head.

Luke went over to check the window. The window was locked from the inside. If he escaped through the window, he couldn't lock it after leaving.

David checked the dummy on the bed, "The hair color is the same as that of Lawn, it should have been premeditated, and Lawn didn't run away alone.

   Either assisted or kidnapped. "

"Crackling..." The door was pushed open from the outside.

Dean Cook walked in, "Detective David, Detective Luke, have you found Lawn?"

"You came just in time, we are looking for you to understand the situation." Luke didn't waste any time, and asked directly, "How is Lawn's condition now? Is it dangerous to leave the hospital?"

"It has basically stabilized. His problem is mainly in the brain. Stopping the drug for a short period of time will not have much impact. If it takes a long time, it may affect recovery."

   "Is he awake?"

   "No."

"Did the nurse on duty see anything unusual last night?"

   "No."

"When was the last time you saw Lawn?"

"Nurses made rounds at ten o'clock last night."

Failed to ask any valuable clues, Luke changed his method, "We need to check the monitoring."

"No problem, I'll take you to the monitoring room." Cook readily agreed.

A comatose patient is kidnapped in the hospital?

  The hospital must be responsible.

If Lawn had an accident, the hospital would definitely have to pay a large amount of compensation, and he, the dean, did it too.

Soon, Luke and David came to the monitoring room.

Luke checks the corridor monitoring, and David checks the elevator monitoring.

Luke's key viewing time period is between 2:30 and 3:30 in the morning.

When the surveillance video of the corridor was played until 3:10, the black patrolman Roland left.

Then a nurse pushed a wheelchair into Lawn's ward, and Lawn was already in the wheelchair when he came out.

Lawen drooped his head, apparently not awake.

The suspect in a blue nurse uniform was wearing a mask and a blue cap on his head. His appearance was unclear, but he was probably a woman based on his body shape.

The female suspect pushed the wheelchair into the elevator.

Luke and David checked the surveillance video together. This video is closer and clearer. The exposed skin looks like a white man.

The female suspect pushed the wheelchair out of the elevator.

Luke and the two replaced other surveillance videos again.

The video shifted to the hospital yard. The female suspect took off her nurse's uniform, covered Lawn's hospital gown with a man's coat, and left the hospital in a wheelchair, disappearing into the night...
