Then, he spoke.

—Just before I gently closed my eyes, feeling like I was drawn into a peaceful slumber, Kurono reached out to me.

W-wait, you fool! Don’t touch me casually!

At that moment, for the first time in a thousand years, I heard my own heartbeat.
