it has been two years since Adriens little 'incursion' and since then things have been developing rather nicely

his mother had requested him for the enchantments, as well as a gun, and he granted her request, seeing no harm in it. and so, her sword had been replaced by an all new high-frequency enchantment inscribed blade and was commissioned her very own rifle

it was shortly after that when some of her pals went to him for the same stuff. apparently his mother had bragged all over the guild and were amazed at her new level of effectiveness.

"5 gold for the sword, 10 for the gun." was all he said, straight to the point

and so, he found himself a new source of money, and had spent most of his time refining his magical skill.

which was why he found himself on the demonic plains, magic circles, arrays, and formulas flashing in his hands or on his eyes

'Generate heat, use mana as fuel and ignite it, continue feeding mana while funneling air and compressing the flames.' he intoned as he created a pale blue fireball on his palms. radiating intense heat

he saw an errant slime monster in the distance. he took aim, pulled his throwing arm, and swung it at the unsuspecting creature

as soon as the fireball hit, it burst into a massive column of flames that caused a huge shock-wave in the immediate area.

'Success.' was all he thought as whistled, seeing the firepower he possessed as the blast dissipated to reveal a huge, molten crated or rock and lava

he summoned a new array on his hands, and any expert would tell you it was a fire spell from the design, but this one had the opposite effect, he planted his hands on a nearby grass and it immediately started freezing

'So I can use fire styled magic to gather heat. Effectively allowing me to freeze with fire magic.' he pondered on the results of his experiments

he had initially come here to test the total firepower he could bring to bear (clearly a lot) before he moved on to figuring out creative ways he could use magic to get different results

it was all very much fun too

though the hidden agents in the grass were collectively shitting their pants at what they saw 'The kid's a monster.' was their common conclusion

he had also been getting lessons from his mother, and when he started the skill he attained in his past life, he was declared a prodigy and she added another item on his growing list of "talent" as it were

it was then all surreal when he showed mastery over a wide array of weaponry and other mundane skills like carving, cooking, literature, sewing, painting, and a bunch of other stuff that his parents stopped keeping track or even thinking about it anymore, except when they were bragging to old friends, deigning to show off the miracle that he was

some of the thing he drew, wrote, and carved were also sold to the merchants and actually made quite a killing on it.

after his training, he pulled out some handcrafted grenades made with various elemental attributes, and special grenades like his new lavcast grenades. these grenades use earth, fire =, and ice nature stones to blanket an area with rapid cooling magma, entrapping them within blistering hot stone and obsidian. he casually tossed them around, noting their effectiveness.

after a while, things just got boring. But not for long.
