Gu Daoist Master Chapter 14

The Gu had a body like a silkworm, emitting white light as pearls. Its chubby appearance made it look quite amiable.

It used wine as food and could soar up to the sky. When it was flying, it would travel at an incredibly fast speed while curving its body into a ball.

Although it was just a level one Gu, its value was even more precious than some of the level two Gu's.

Using it as a Vital Gu was far better in comparison to the Moonlight Gu.

Right now, that Wine Gu was lying on a tree not far from Fang Yuan. He only needed five to six steps to be able to reach that green spear bamboo.

Fang Yuan held his breath. He did notdid not recklessly approach it, but was slowly stepping back.

He knew that although the distance was close, wanting to directly catch a Wine Gu, with just him, who had just opened his vain aperture, would be something extremely tough. Or it was to say; he did notdid not have many possibilities to succeed.

With his vision, he could not see the Wine Gu clearly. But in the dark, Fang Yuan could feel that it was staying alerted towards his existence.

Fang Yuan slowly retreated, he did so gently in order not to incite the Wine Gu.

He knew, if the Wine Gu wanted to fly away, it would be impossible for him to use his speed to stop it. He could only wait until it was dead drunk from drinking. After that, its flying speed would decrease. That was the only chance to catch it.

Fang Yuan was retreating further and further away. The Wine Gu lying on the bamboo could not help but stand up.

The thick, vigorous scent of wine in front had attracted and totally captivated it. Its saliva might have been accumulated into a pond right now.

However, the Wine Gu's vigilance was fairly high. It curved up its body, then plunged up in the air only when Fang Yuan had stepped back around two hundred steps.

When it was flying, its body would curve up into a fist, and looked like a chubby white wonton. (omg T^T sounds so cute >

The wonton streaked by the air, leaving behind a smooth curving line, then fell down on the bush which Fang Yuan had poured the wine on.

Seeing the delicious meal in front of it, the Wine Gu had put down more than half of its precaution. It hurriedly climbed over to the flower bud which was soaked with wine, greedily explored, and only left its tail protruding outside.

It was starving now. Facing the delicious Green Bamboo Wine, he opened his mouth wide and freely sucked it in. It was soon emerged in enjoying the meal, and totally forgot about Fang Yuan.

Fang Yuan stood behind it and started to approach it carefully.

He looked at its tail outside the flower bud. Its tail was like a silkworm's tail, chubby, smooth, and was illuminating a halo that made people think about a pearl.

Its tail was still hanging outside and it did notdid not have any of the slightest movements.

After a while, the tail slightly raised up. Obviously, the Wine Gu was drinking with satisfaction.

Finally, when Fang Yuan was only ten steps away from it, its tail suddenly stood straight up, swaying non-stop, carrying a happy tempo.

He had obsessed in drinking already!

Looking at such scenery, Fang Yuan almost laughed out loud.

He did notdid not continue moving forward, but patiently stopped and waited. If he approached quickly, he was quite certain that he would be able to catch this Wine Gu. However, Fang Yuan wanted this Wine Gu to lead the way, guiding him to the place where Hua Jiu monk's corpse had been hidden.

After a while later, the Wine Gu retreated from the flower bud. Its body was slightly chubbier. While shaking its head back and forth, it looked like a normal human who was drunk. However, he totally did not take notice of Fang Yuan's existence.

It then moved to another faint yellow wildflower, sat atop the flower's bud and continued sucking the wine.

After this, he was finally full. The figure on the flower slowly curled up into a ball. Then, it gradually flew up. It flew at the height of one point five meters above ground, heading towards the deep area of the bamboo forest and flying away.

Fang Yuan hastily chased after it.

The Wine Gu had already been dead drunk. Its flying speed was decreased in half. Nevertheless, even so, Fang Yuan still had to use all his will to pursue it, to be able to catch up to its shadow.

In a pitch black area, a young man was dashing through the bamboo forest, trying to chase after a speck of the snow pearl that was not far from him, under the soft moonlight and gentle cool breeze.

Inside the bamboo forest, one by one emerald green spear bamboo appeared in front of Fang Yuan's eyes and then it was quickly being left behind as he dashed forward.

On the ground, the lush green bush emphasized those beautiful wildflowers.

Along the stones covered with lichenous was small faint yellow bamboo shoots.

Fang Yuan' shadow was dashing quickly on the ground. As he passed by those green spear bamboos, he left behind a black streak.

He attentively focused on that speck of snow shadow. In a gloomy and reeked of wine atmosphere, he widened his mouth trying to gasp for fresh air, constantly followed behind the Gu.

Because of his fast speed, his eyes looking at the moonlight were as it was seeing water. The constantly moving shadows were making it look like he was dashing forward underwater with endless water plants flashing by.

As the Wine Gu rushed out of the bamboo forest, Fang Yuan also did the same. The entire area was flickering with white shadows as the petals of those faint yellow bud flowers started to follow the wind and come flying out.

The group of crickets was like a string of moving poems, coincidently flowing forward, passing by Fang Yuan. With a crashing sound, a red cloud suddenly busted out, revealing countless of fireflies looking like red starlight.

There was a stream flowing along the path filled with pebble stones. The babbling water was reflecting the moon above the night sky. Bang Bang, the silently moving stream was broken into numerous silver ripples due to it being stamped on by Fang Yuan.

I'm afraid one brook, will be paved by the moonlight's white jade[1].

Fang Yuan did notdid not stop his pursue. He still followed the Wine Gu closely.

Going along the stream, he vaguely heard the sound of the waterfall. Passing by another sparse forest, he saw the Wine Gu flew into a small crack on a giant stone.

Fang Yuan's eyes immediately lit up. He stopped his step.

"So it is here." He opened his mouth, gasping for air. His heart was beating frantically. With this sudden stop, he felt his whole body was soaked with sweat, a scorching heat was flowing through his veins, inciting his entire body.

Looking around, he realized this place was a shallow river.

Various sized pebble stones were scattered on the ground. The water level was only higher than those stones by a finger. There were also giant silver stones laid here and there.

Behind the Green Thatch Mountain was a massive waterfall.

The stream transformed with the change in meteorology. It was a drop of precipitation, hitting straight into a deep pool. The other side of the pool was the Bai Family Mountain Stronghold. Their vigorous power was not any less than that of the Ancient Moon Mountain Stronghold.

Waterfall also had branches. And, obviously, Fang Yuan was facing one of the branches of this waterfall.

Normally, this pool was empty. However, recently, heavy rain that lasted for three days straight had accumulated enough water to fill up this pool.

The giant stone that the Wine Gu had flown inside was the source of this stream.

The stone was leaning straight against the mountain. A small waterfall was divided from that grand waterfall. It was like a giant silver snake, sticking to the mountain while hanging down, directly hitting on that stone. With time, it had opened a crack right in the center of this giant stone.

Right now, as the waterfall was still running down, the stream was rumbling. Like a pure white roller blind, it had completely covered the crack on this giant stone.

Following his observation, Fang Yuan was not in a hurry at all. Determination flashed in his eyes as he walked beside the giant stone, took a deep breath then lowered his head and dashed into it.

The crack on this giant stone was quite big; it could fit at least two adults walking side by side. Moreover, Fang Yuan's body was just like a fifteen year old young man's.

As he was dashing inside, the stream rapidly oppressed Fang Yuan's body, letting the ice-cold water soak his entire body.

Suffering from the pressure of the water, Fang Yuan quickly stepped forward. Walking for a couple of steps, the pressure from the water was gradually decreasing.

However, as he was getting deeper, the crack was also turning smaller. Fang Yuan could not help but turn his body and walk sideways.

His ears were picking up exploding water sounds. Above his head was a layer of pure white light, and the giant stone was getting darker as he went deeper.

What was hidden in the darkness?

It could be a viper or a lizard with acute poison, or the mechanism traps set up by Hua Jiu monk, or it could be nothing.

Fang Yuan continued to slide inside, slowly barged into the darkness.

The stream above his head almost disappeared. The cliff covered with moss was constantly rubbing on Fang Yuan's white and smooth body.

Fang Yuan was totally swallowed by darkness. The crack was getting even smaller. Gradually, he could not move his head freely anymore.

Fang Yuan slightly bit his lips, continued forward.

Walking for around twenty steps, he discovered a cluster of red light in the dark.

Initially, he thought it was an illusion. But after blinking several times, he focused his view, and determined that it truly was a light!

This discovery made his mind shake.

With another fifty to sixty steps, the red light was getting brighter and brighter. In front of Fang Yuan's pupils, it started to expand into a long, narrow crack.

He stretched his left hand as he suddenly realized that the cliff was no longer there.

Fang Yuan rejoiced. He knew that there was space inside this giant stone. He rapidly walked forward, and then slid inside this crack.

The space inside had immediately opened up. An area about eighty square meters big appeared in front of Fang Yuan's eyes.

"Such a long distance, I may have soon passed the giant stone. Right now it should be right at the center of the mountain." On one side, he moved his legs and hands back and forth, trying to smooth out his limbs. On the other side, he silently examined the mysterious surroundings.

The whole space was filled with faint red light. He did notdid not know where the source of this light came from.

Four cliffs encircled this space was moist and covered with moss. But the air in here was abnormally dry.

Withered vines were still attached to those cliffs. The vines intertwined with each other had covered more than half of the cliffs. There were a few withering flowers and roots on them.

Those withered flowers looked quite familiar to Fang Yuan.

"They are the Wine Sack Flower Gu and Rice Pouch Grass Gu." Divine light abruptly appeared as he realized these withered flowers and vines.

Gu had various shapes. Some looked like ore, such as Blue Crystal-Shaped Moonlight Gu. Some were like worms, like the Wine Gu that looked like a silkworm. There were some that took after the shape of flowers and grasses, like the ones in front of Fang Yuan right now, the Wine Sack Flower Gu and Rice Pouch Grass Gu.

These two types of Gu were all level one natural Gu. It could grow only by absorbing the Primeval Essence. After growing up, the flower bud would produce nectar wine, while the grass pouch would emanate the fragrance of rice.

Fang Yuan's eyes followed the vines. Undoubtedly, he discovered that the withered roots had gathered together, forming a block.

The Wine Gu was living in this block of dead roots. He was sleeping. It was as easy as eating a piece of cake right now.

Fang Yuan walked over, retrieved the Wine Gu into his bosom. Then he crouched down and parted the block of dried rattan only to discover a white skeleton that was hidden inside.

"I've finally found you, Hua Jiu monk." Looking at this place, the corner of his mouth twitched up to form a smile.

When he was about to totally get rid of that dried rattan,

"I dare you to move again." A voice, filled with murderous intent, abruptly arose from behind Fang Yuan's back.
